In Part 2 of the Big Rebo series Rebo gives a roll call of the original Park Village Crips in Compton when the Wilmington Arms was being built. According to Rebo there was only Grandee Compton Crips when he first started banging. He talks about being good friends with Michael "Salty" Leblanc. He goes on to give a roll call of the first Crips he ever met and puts the first Samoan crips in Park Village. Rebo is a legendary Compton Crip mentioned in Monster's book: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member by Sanyika Shakur.

"Name ring like a church bell on Sunday", R.I.P. REBO maan.
Name ring like a church bell on a.sunday morning... CLASSIC
HA HA RIGHT!!! FIRE
Man Y’all Going Hard, You Can Feel Rebo’s Crippin was to the Max, a true live Soldier ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
💙💙💙💙🤙🏾🤙🏾
He lit up when he mention CC Rider. Wasn’t no cameras back then!
"Man I got so many robberies under my belt...Excuse me" lmao
R.I.P Big Rebo
Man, Rebo was huge...Seems like weight training has become a lost art among street soldiers these days...
Everybody just wanna do drugs and pick up guns now
The weights looks like they were a detriment also to some brothers. Look at how many brothers got stabbed by the Southern Mexicans and whites.
What I mean by Detriment is that it looks as if many brothers, thought size alone would be enough to handle the enemy. While the enemy was coming with Shanks and other weapons.
I know there were brothers who were good with the knife, but with the number of brothers getting stabbed, like what Rockhead mentioned. You have to wonder about the Size, lack of discipline, etc.
@@kaitjetoch What I'm saying is many brother relied TOO much upon size and hands, as opposed to Mexicans who damn near solely relied on Shanks.
Some of the most dangerous inmates regardless of race from the 60s-80s didn't have tremendous size, but they were BIG with the blade.
Size alone doesn't mean you can fight, what it can do is intimidate those who can be intimidated by size. Now if you have size and can fight, you're a problem.
@@complexblackness correct, dont forget martial arts was the thing back then.

One of the best interviews
Wuzzup triple OGe, I remember growing up in da hood. It was a lot of fun in the Vill, we had the east side and the west side cefoe the darcc side and the sunny side. Park Village elementary was in the middle. Remember kicc it with homies from the arms. We had a lot of cuzzn and homies from different hoods, ran with homies from Oaks, SSCC, FDCC, and NHCC bacc in the day. It was all love. Thanks KM.
“Name ring like a bell on sunday morning” 🔥👀 I felt that !
Fascinating..looking forward to parts 3,4 and 5!..:-
Once again another great interview thanks KEV !
whats up good part 2 video this is a good series and some good history too im enjoying it this is interview is definitely in my top 5 salute peace
Fire interview
I was thinking to myself while watching this, OG must have talked to be sitting outside telling these stories. Then he said he served like 39 years. I could sit and listen to his stories for hours.
Ok, Wat a bout Marcus garvey, malcom x, martin l, John henry clarke, Ben Jochannan 2 help balance u out, but have his soldier mentality for the betterment of our people
Kev Mac thank you for blessing us with true stories of the real OG's. I've been turned in for 2 days now and have been binge watching ever since. We're privileged to have the true stories before it's too late. I have a different perspective of their lives and what they went through way different from what the media portrays.
The media has 75% the pop brainwashed. I NEVER watch tv/local news.
This is going to be a good series💪🏾
When brothers take us down memory lane I find pre-machine testimonials so powerful. Cutes, Rochead, AC, Rebo and few other players take us to a wild west where we had nothing as Roc put it so eloquently. I've never been to the pen, but I remember having nothing on the streets. In the 70's we didn't go to other neighborhoods outside of the community without concern for other races and police hatred towards us. In the eighties people started being afraid of us. For all the negative aspects bangin has been instrumental in making others show us some semblance of respect. We had to take it though!
Real shit
I been a proud kevmac fanatiC since day one.
I love this interview Kev Mac videos 💯💯💯
LA crips and bloods need a tv series ...that shit could go on for years
50 60 yrs
They need to really make one all the way from the very beginning not just telling a story about blood and crips but just about south los angles period
When you say L.A you gotta break it down from each city because L.A is the city of Los Angeles not the county.
Compton is Compton but for some reason, people keep saying it's L.A when its not.
Just like San Bernadino is San Bernadino.Fontana,Rialto and Colton are part of San Bernadino county but it's not the city.Let's not confuse out of towners;
Now Compton,Long Beach and East L.A do have their own gang history that could be told separately from L.A city.
LA Times that’s why said it could go on for years
@@1lifestyle112 I see what you saying,so each city have they own segment ?

I wonder where we would stand if all this energy we put in gangs over the years was put into something positive. Instead of beating and killing each other.
As long as those in position failure to recognize the signs the youth illustrate continue, nothing will change. The question should be done to change the situation now. Blacc people is one of the main cultural group that shun their warrior class and sell them out.
i wonder if the same energy and resources the gov puts into other 'nice' affluent communities were put into the hood would gangs even exist on that level. i wonder if the gov didnt put barrels of guns for blacc youth to play with would gangs and killing even exist on that level. i wonder if the gov didnt put cracc into the communities would there be as many blacc people in jail and drug related murders. i wonder if the jews didnt only endorse violent hip hop and not educational and soulful hip hop would violence be as bad as it was.

The story is consistent when it comes to the vast majority of Cs and Bs coming into the system in the late 70s and through the 80s.
