Remember that assault cannons get the "gets hot" special rule when used in reactions. Also, a Blade of Perdition has Rending 6+ and Crimson Paladins in combat get FnP when outnumbered
Yeah need to burn that into my brain for the assault cannons. BoP rending is only for the sword. Not on the spear on maul unfortunately. FnP might of saved a couple on the crimson paladins. Could of been helpful

Really nice armies, did notice that you forgot the Sun Killers come with a chainsword as well as a bolt pistol as standard so would have had a lot more attacks against the lone Dawnbreaker that charged them. Also you could have used your movement reaction to do a 3rd intercept in the turn the deep strike came in as the augury scanners give you additional free intercepts but you can still use your 1 movement reaction to do one, though I think it would just have been a despoiler squad that would have been in range or maybe 1 of the contemptors may have had LoS.
Also if Lucius had the 10pt Sonic Shrieker then the assault marines would have been hitting on 6's unless they are stubborn or fearless
Minor point but you cant take laer blade on lucius if fulgrim is in the list as stated on lucius profile. But Thirteen is a better weapon for him anyway imo

I think Fulgrim might've liked the laer blade for sang and the leviathan too! Fleshbane works on dreads
He got there in the end, he was picking up too many attacks though, EC trait increases Initiative step not initiative characteristic (so not an extra attack from that), and Sudden strike is on the charge only
Ah fair. Wouldn't have changed the outcome. Think I need to up the amount bodies in the command squad. Was a good duel though

This game perfectly shows how big of an oversight it is to not limit reactions to 1 per unit per turn. Those sun-killers had 3 shooting attacks in a single turn for free. We will absolutely house-rule this.

Hello. Excellent game. Armies are fantastic. Question: How did you build up that gold on the Dawnbreakers?
I used scale 75 paints. Necro gold base and highlight with elven gold. Wash with burnt umber oils for a weathered look.

Great Bat Rep guys! Two lovely armies. Just to note that Rending is resolved at AP2 so gives a +1 to the damage table so are able to blow up vehicles hilariously

Man, these Reactions are killing the Game for me! The Sunkillers output in the oposing Players turn is ridiculous! 😂🤦🏼♂️
I don't mind them personally. I definitely should have been a bit smarter about them. Got a taste of their own medicine in the end

Easy fix would be to set it to 5+ to hit regardless? Something to just take the sting out maybe.
