I grew up in New York, what some would say is the "poor side of town", but I loved it! In school I was introduced to French. No one explained why learning a new language was important and how it could connect me to a new world and way of thinking. I just remember I loved the way it sounded even though I didn't get far at all. Fast forward more than 50 years where I've decided to take French again. You are the teacher I wish I had then! I can't believe I'm learning French and I'm actually doing well thanks to your videos! I just wanted you to know, you've reached all the way to a 50 plus year old woman who heard the beauty of the French language as a child, who lived in the middle of New York and LOVES your way of teaching. The exercises are amazing and they really re inforce the teaching. I think it would be a great idea if you could provide those that join your channel more of the same type of exercsise that they could download as it would be really helpful

Je vous remercie, Alexa. Vos vidéos m'aident tellement avec les chose qui me rendent confus tous les fois. Je suis situé à Manchester, Royaume-Uni et j'apprenais le français depuis deux années, bien sûr mon français n'est pas parfait en ce moment particulier, je fais plein d'erreurs (En particulier avec les conjugations et les prépositions). En tous cas, vos vidéos sont plein d'infos plus utiles pour connaître la langue française et gagner la confiance de le parler avec les locateurs natifs. Je souhaite qu'en deux années que je peux parler le français avec confiance et fluidité, mais je dois travailler trop fort. (:

Alexa is awesome. Love her style and approach. As a French newbie (today is day 10 of learning), am I right (or wrong) in saying the plurals sound exactly the same as the singulars? Ex.: La fille ; Les filles. (fille and filles sound identical to me).

Number 6. (Mon frere et moi) is an informal form...so why didn't we use (est ) instead of (sommes)?
Zeinab Ana mon frère et moi, refers to my brother and I. My brother and I are two people which makes it plural and nous sommes is in plural form. Hence we use nous sommes. Also, mon frère et moi if translated in English refers to us whereas il est, Elle est or on est refers to he, she or someone else.
