@@liljoe31 Why scary? Because shoulder injuries have a habit of never getting better. The shoulder is by far the most complicated joint because of the outrageous range of motion it's capable of. When I saw that I figured he had a 50/50 chance of never being right again. I wonder if he got an injection but then he wasn't uncoordinated after. Bloody amazing really.
I really hope he is okay. What a guy to be able to go back out there and play!

Nothing wrong with the hit, even Eichel said so post-game. I'm sure he will feel it tomorrow, but he was back in the game. Initially thought he was being assessed a penalty to for it, but was not the case. Refs got it right.

It was called because EVERY SINGLE TIME Florida hit the ice they weren't even playing hockey... The score proves that by the way. They were running around trying to hurt people and cause problems. They are on a national stage right now making themselves look like a bunch of baboons and honestly they are a laughing stock right now. Skating around like a bunch of careless train wrecks is not how you win a Stanley. Again.. the score shows this.

There was no penalty on the hit. Did you even watch the game? He got a penalty for being a clown after the play
He might not be putting up the goals in this series, but he really plays with a ton of composure and skill, and controls the puck incredibly well. He gains mid and o-zone with great poise, is super strong on the puck, and constantly sets up line mates and instills trust in whomever's on the ice with him. Reminds me of Mats Sundin. He's grown tremendously with the Knights!

I think the toe pick saved him from getting hit directly in the head/neck. Watch how his body changed angles.
Yeah he just sees it right at the moment, and kind of twists his head out of the way as he’s falling from the toe pick. So lucky his head didn’t hit the ice but he did pretty good to get his head out of the way of the hit

No, they're tired of the blatant cheap shots Florida is dishing out. I'm not a big Bisonnette fan, but he made an interesting comment after the game. He said that Florida's body language after the whistle is to start something with Vegas players. They're blatant about it, and they're not very good at it! You do it so much, that when something explodes, even on a good hit, the guy is going to get something... Florida is sloppy and the refs are getting tired of it.

If you skate around reckless trying to hurt star players on purpose. The refs will not be on your side. Everyone knows what Florida is up to. Plus if you hit a star player that hard you know exactly what's coming. So he's not innocent by any means.

In my honest opinion that may be biased (golden knights fan from vegas) Florida is not looking good right now. They aren't even playing hockey. (the score proves this) The announcers and post game even said it themselves. Every time they hit the ice they are just looking for problems. They are on a national stage right now and by looking at twitter they are becoming a laughing stock. I think they should actually play some hockey and stop headhunting. I get that hockey is a physical sport but there is a line somewhere and I think the florida panthers are just doing wayyy to much right now.. if their best strategy is to try and take out key players in the Golden Knights then they don't deserve the Stanley. I want to see them play actual hockey.

I’ve had three herniated neck disks from hits like that. Can’t turn my head to back out of the driveway. Thank god for recent rear cameras. That hit would have paralyzed me I think. I’m not saying it was dirty.

Had his skates been on the ice, it probably would have been worse.
He actually did see it coming at the last second and that made all the difference.
As long as he can at least do that, he should be able to avoid the concussion issues that have cratered other careers.

I can't stand eichel. Having said this, I felt his panic. I have 3 herniated discs in my neck that pop in and out at will. It's scary every time not knowing if I'll wind up paralyzed or not. The look on his face says it all. I feel the pain in my shoulders and it's like having a horrible toothache, buried in sugar and set on fire. I don't wish it on my worst enemy. Scary isn't even the word for what he was going through at the moment. I'm glad he is OK. I'm a candidate for surgery but my insurance will only cover the infusion which I don't understand what the problem was in Buffalo because the chance of further, dramatic injury and paralysis is much increased with fusion and way less with disc replacement. They'd be setting him up for failure. Back to the hit....if you look he toe picked right into Tkachuk. The only dirty hit I saw was the forearm to the face that took gudas out. Unless I saw it differently. Wooly willy was worked. If yall don't know what Wooly willy is do yrself a favor and Google it. I don't know how that name didn't catch here in Philly. It's gudas twin.

Love you man, but calling the hit a Stevens/Kariya is not it. It's bad based on Eichels history, but Tkachuk layed a perfect and clean hit that was supposed to give some momentum for his team. Eichel returning on the ice is 50-50 in my books because hockey players usually play even if they are hurt and that could be dangerous for him.
He didn`t look hurt in the 3rd at all, he was agile and at his best. Hit was clean, but these hits are so close of hitting the head.
Who would have thought out of Eichel McDavid and mathews Eichel might be the first to win a cup.

He did like a weird sort of dive/twist maneuver right before the hit landed. Idk if he just lost his footing or he tried to avoid the hit in a weird way but with the issues he's had with his neck, that was a hard replay to watch. Glad he he was ok. Still don't really understand the misconduct on chuky tho. Maybe just a reputation to call or a way to avoid a shit show from ensuing idk.
Hope Florida gets the lead out. It would be a shame for such a crazy and entertaining playoffs to end on a blowout.

The 10 minute majors on Tkachuk were just ridiculous. Refs were terribly inconsistent tonight, not calling blatant penalties for both sides then just throwing out majors for breathing
The refs have been inconsistent all playoffs, I thought as the games got further along, the officiating would get better, but clearly that's not the case. I'm a huge oiler fan and no gambling involved, just want to watch hockey.
That’s was a clean hit, hard hit and you know Matthew was not trying to be nice there that was supposed to hurt, but that’s a clean hit Jack falls into him which made it worse, I still don’t understand why Matthew got a 10 minute misconduct, cuz it was not for the hit and if he got one for the scrum after that’s kinda wack considering he was the first guy people went at him, if anything Florida should have been on the power play in my opinion
The hit wasn't what caused the penalities it was the scrum afterwards the referees are keying in on him after his antics in the first 3 series. They have zero tolerance for anything he did check out his 3rd misconduct. Unfortunately the panther players don't seem to understand the league is cracking down on the after the whistle crap.
