Soon after arriving in Pakistan I wanted to discover the MODERN side of Pakistan, where I had heard about the Centaurus Mall, in Islamabad. I also had ONE TASK - to buy my Shalwar Kameez outfit, so I could blend in with the local Pakistani people.
After arriving at the mall, I was greeted by incredibly friendly locals, including Haroon who showed me around the MODERN side of Pakistan! I never new a place this existed, and it was SUPER modern. The day was eye opening and a day I will not forget.

Yes! I completely agree, as you say, boots on the ground and exploring and interacting with the locals is the best way to see into the culture of another country. I hope to share more similarities between Philippines 🇵🇭 and Pakistan 🇵🇰 with both being very hospitable, very soon ❤️

Shalwar is the bottom part of the outfit (Can call Trouser) while outer part is called Qameez.

👍 The bushy Pakistani who sat with you at the table and guided you around was, I believe, a Pashtun: quiet, reserved, decent and unassuming. Handsome despite the bushy face.
👍 It’s good you and Josh had not fallen into the trap of one who asked How to stop poverty. That was an invitation for argument which could have gone down to politics.

You could have bought that from any local small pakistani brand for maybe 2000 or 2500 the same quality
Fair enough. I just wanted to explore the Centaurus Mall and that was one of the thing I wanted to get, so it worked well to do it at the same time. Next time I’ll try and hit up a local shop too 🙏🇵🇰
