Nah, yazan is more cooler then him
There are several cooler villains in the AU

Zeheart Gallette

@@hibeya7ye352 my man, Jirai- I mean Yazan!

Yazan was cool, but he lacked an ideological bend like Angelo does.
Yazan is an example of what everyone fears about a soldier. That one soldier who enjoys the killing for killing’s sake. Yazan finds battle irresistible and he loves taking lives. It’s his very being. A wild man ran by baser instincts.
Angelo is far more ideological, believing completely in Full Frontal’s cause. He’s a Zealot and a Fanatic.
Both characters are fascinating for different reasons.
the last scene when he realized full frontal is dead almost brought my tears, especially after knowing his background story
FF saved him from a life on the streets if I remember correctly.
If you knew his background you wouldn't hate him.
@@Gustav_Kuriga someone else who doesn't hate him finally.
I’ve never hated Angelo. He’s one of my favorite characters in Unicorn.
He is the ideological Zealot of the story’s revolution. The true fanatic, the true believer in the cause. He worships Full Fontal not only as a man, but also what he represents as an ideology.
For most of the other Neo Zeon troops it is solely about platitudes and getting revenge on the Federation. But for Angelo it’s clear that it was so much more than just revenge. And that is what makes it compelling.
Wonder what happened to him in Narrative?
man, Angelo was pretty insane, I mean just look at the office scene when he's talking about respect all while ignoring that Full Frontal told him to stop
Michael Sinterniklaas did a great job as Angelo. He and Stephanie Sheh (Audrey) are great VA directors, especially as far as Gundam is concerned.
BTW, Banagher shares the same VA as Outlaw Star's Harry MacDougall.
Also, the VA of Banagher also voiced the legendary gundam pilot Shiro Amada
5:30 Lmao, he's like I've cleared the path for u master
Best scene in gundam
I’ve never actually noticed that before!
One of the best characters in the show.
agree
@Diamond colony647 “the rozen Zulu oozes with homosexual energy” those are the words of one of my gay friends, we both agree he’s down bad for ff
Gez after hearing about the novel version of Angelo, only now I get why the Claw hit himself....some more dark stuff
Same thing that happened to Marida...
I wanna know...
Same do tell
Well what happened to Marida when she was young?…

Lol, in first place I completely mistakened Angelo being a girl.😂😂
MayDay4000 Wouldn’t be mad at you.

He’s a handsome man, leans on the pretty side.
the bow he does when he welcomes full frontal is crazy
just unnecessary amounts of cool
7:33 Otto Mitas engages in proper negotiations with Angelo.
Fun fact: The English voice actor of Angelo also voiced Leonardo in the 2003 TMNT cartoon.
He's the Better Half

Angelo: HOW DARE YOU SULLY THE CAPTAIN. I WILL DO ALL I NEED TO ACHIEVE HIS GOALS AND SUPPORT HIM AND PUNISH THOSE WHO STAND IN OUR WAY
banagher: hm what do this button do? *Gundam enters ethnic cleanse mode* ooooh pretty
On google Gundam when you search for minion the answer that usually comes up is "Did you mean Angelo" Notice me senpai" Sauper?" A nasty, sycophant, arrogant little bastard and a top notch fangirl of his highly despicable Full Frontal.
I would have loved it if Riddhe had demolished the Rozen Zulu before the Kshatriya of Marida Cruz by interposing the Banagher between him.
So your telling me the Rozen Zulu some how floated to the Neo Zeong?
Friendly reminder that Angelo is young Iron Mask
Talkernate History wait really
@@fatbastard9147 No he isn't. They're completely unrelated. Iron Mask is Carozzo Ronah

What I like about Angelo (especially his English interpretation with his speech) is that he reminds one of a French Revolutionary politician, like a Jacobin. Especially as he goes crazy in episode 6 and episode 7.
Angelo reminds me of what I imagine Robespierre’s most avid supporters were probably like as he got more radical in 1793 and 1794. His speech to Banagher and Zimmerman in episode 6 being the high point of his development. He considers Full Frontal to be truly incorruptible and beyond the petty nature and selfishness of humanity. Similar things were said about Robespierre by his most die hard supporters.
Angelo spat out his hatred of Zimmerman (who he considered the icon of the weakness of humanity) and Banagher (who he clearly considered the vessel of irresponsibility and a war monger, unwilling to bend to Full Frontal’s ideals).
Frankly Angelo is one my favorite Gundam characters all time, despite not being in the OVA all that much and not getting a fraction of the development he got in the novels. He’s such a fascinating mechanism for the show’s writers to really delve into ideological zealotry and I honestly believe that they had Robespierre and the most radical jacobins in mind when they wrote his relationship to Full Frontal and the greater Neo Zeon movement.
Full Frontal personal boywife
Full Frontal's a surrogate father to him. read up on Angelo's backstory. Harrowing stuff but it shows why Angelo has so much respect for him and holds him in such high regard.
Geh sidekick villain and for those who said i should have some emphaty for his background i don't see the point that justify to not hate him
Angelo like gay with captain
More like he sees him as a father figure.
@@russkatherealoriginal6904 Char said the same thing to Lalah as a mother, yet he kissed her.
Given that Char was written to have gay feelings towards amuro i wouldn’t doubt it
@Gundgok bisexual is most likely. There are dozens of Tomino quotes where he talks about how much he wanted viewers to think Char and Amuro post-zeta Gundam and especially in CCA could be gay. Also char didn’t date Haman Karn, he was with Axis when she was a teenager. I recommend reading Char’s deleted affair for more on that.

Oh come on
He is realizing that he needs to change his diapers.
I don't like Angelo and its not a very simple explanation.
First off he's extremely predictable. If Full Frontal enters a sector of the battlefield he will imediately leave it and treat it like holy soil. If you bad mouth Full Frontal he'll beat respect for him into you till you believe it, his motives and actions aren't hard to lose but also too easy to predict.
Second, the suits he pilots are either grunts with his custom color or psycommu units that are actually behind the times when better units do exist in Neo Zeon. There's nothing unique about his Geara Zulus and The Rozen Zulu is an MS that was designed in a vaccum with no understanding of newtype and psycommu based warfare. If he is head of Neo Zeon's royal guard why are the suits he's given inadequette? If Marida wasn't holding back on him with her shoddy'd Kyshatriya he would have died.
Third and finally, his almost religious vocabulary and lack of charisma makes me dislike him a lot, especially when he says he cares about loyal Neo Zeon soldiers, but the show shows no connection between him and them so when Banager kills people and he gets upset I'm just confused as to why he even cares since he the show only shows that he puts Full Frontal before everybody else in all situations.
The only thing I find interesting about Angelo is that he is obviously meant to be flawed in his views and actions. He'll kill his own allies because they aren't good enough, become extremely confused and distraught when people don't share his views involving his idol even when they are correct or saying he's straying from his initial goals, and even when he should be helping Full Frontal in battle, will never be seen fighting side by side directly supporting Frontal as a result of his beliefs and will imediately leave without a doubt that Frontal could actually lose, which Frontal allows him to do.
As childish as he is, I think he's an interesting character. I just don't like him as a character
I agreed with you for the last sentence, his stupidity do make him a lot more unique and interesting
If you knew his back story it would explain the religious devotion to FF.
It's very sad back story
11:25 And that's why I hate Angelo. I do not fuck with people who shoot their own soldiers, good men and women devoted to the cause, for no good reason.
While I think what he did was pretty pathetic and cowardly too, I think it was supposed to show how much he’s lost his mind due to his sick devotion to his “Captain” Full Frontal
