Probably one of the best examples in the last few years of 'style' over substance; people paying well over the odds for food just because some poser rolls salt off his elbow.
Kick rocks
LMAO Forreals
The guy is no poser. I promise you that.
@@erikd131weaver7 his career is literally waltzing around a restaurant posing for Instagram pictures dropping salt onto a plate as if heâs some top masterchef, I can do the exact same thing in my kitchen with a pot noodle..
Salt & hair. Get your facts right đ đ€Ł
Not a chance I would be paying ÂŁ1000 for steak on a Monday lunchtime and anyone that thinks itâs acceptable is crazyâŠ.
not even if salt bae sprinkled some salt over your food?
That's crazy no flavor on that meat đ I rather go to a food truck đ
@@lyhthegreat you seem to have lost Touch to reality, wtf
@@Runclimblift you never know in these times man
Not gonna support salt bae, why? No problem with him scamming rich people by duping them into buying his overpriced menu, but this guy has endless stacks of labor related violations and issues in his restaurant branches in the West, not supporting a meme guy that downright screws over his employees in various ways.
âSalt in my socksâ & âprobably the most molested bit Iâve food Iâve ever been handed at a restaurantâ lol đ
I'm a chef at a casino that serves affordable, tasty well presented food, if I served a dessert that looked like that I'd expect everyone of the chefs and front of house to say "are you taking the fucking piss" . Either Im missing something, or it's a load of bollocks.
Yea,the dessert looked awful all mashed up!!0
Thats how its meant to be its home made baklava
Load o bollocks
@@TrueOG591 no its not
Correct, a load of bollox is right, reflected in the review đ
Thereâs nothing Iâd hate more than all the staff pissing about cutting the food and serving it to me like that. Bring me the food and leave me alone..
Put the food on the table, smile, keep your mouth shut and f*ck off
Yep, if you want theatre, go to the effing theatre!
I'd pay to eat there.. Just to tell them to stop the theatrics and leave the food in the kitchen and
Walk out. Complete comedy show!
I get what your saying but itâs the experience!
Then don't go then. Nobody is forcing you to. You people act like the people going don't understand what they're getting in to. I personally wouldn't go because I agree, it just doesn't seem like my type of thing, but some people like the novelty and have enough money to spend it and have a good laugh.
My local cafe, which is Turkish owned, will do steak egg and chips for 8 quid - with 2 teas, Iâll pay 11 quid.
but does the owner wear a tight tshirt, twerk while carving your meat then bounce salt granules off his elbow
@@tomgardner2253 đ€Ł
Thankfully no!
@@mazzarouni5608 you're missing out bud
You forgot feed you with a dutty glove
If youâre a proper foodie who appreciates talented chefs and real fine dining, youâll go to one of the multitude of Michelin star restos in London where you can easily feed 3 people with a couple bottles of wine/champagne for ÂŁ500-ÂŁ600⊠if you wanna be papped on a Friday night to enhance your Love Island application then youâll go here⊠this place will be another Nobu⊠average food for extortionate prices but youâre guaranteed to get your photo taken outside đ Those sides you got served up wouldnât have looked out of place in Nandoâs!
I was going to put something similar. I had dinner at the man behind the curtain which has 1 M star, for three of us, Eatong about ten courses plus coffee, cocktails and wine it was less than ÂŁ600
Iâd also like to add that salt choad does not even have a rosette, let alone a star
Preach!!
I thought the same thing about the sides lol. And I think nandos is expensive for what it is
Totally đ
"I've got salt in my socks" đ€Ł what a lovely down to earth couple! đ
The place is more about bragging rights, a pretentious tariff for what is a decent bit of meat and mediocre vegetables. While we all like the restaurant staff to be attentive I would not appreciate all that drama and messing with my food. If i had the choice of a free meal anywhere that place wouldnât be on my list after this showing. That said, a great review and insight into the place.
Couldnât of said it better myself đ
I've been to the one in Istanbul, Turkey and mate you can get a flight there, stay in a 5 star hotel get the same food and will cost you ÂŁ350 - the food I must say the Nusret special is amazing đđŒ
This is classic instagram profiting
Have you been like or are you just making assumptions without going
@@bumfluffmcregor3730 literally the February before the lockdown! Was there for about 4 days. Flight and hotel around ÂŁ300 nusret cost 3 of us around 50ÂŁ or so per head
I spent a few days in Istanbul last year, ate at Nusr-et twice.
It's the same food, just much more affordable, especially at the current exchange rate.
You could fly to Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines from Stansted, get a 5* hotel for the night, eat that exact same meal and still have a few hundred pound in change to splurge at the designer village next to the airport, the grand bazaar or the dozens of excellent baklava stores.
For those of you who aren't millionaires and spending a large chunk of your salary just for the "experience", you'd probably get more memories out of a weekend in Istanbul. Fair enough, it's not going to be the "big man" feeding you, just some clone. But that's offset by the fact you can eat at the original Nusr-et restaurant. Plus the big man will soon be out of London when the weather gets cold anyway!
Well said đ
I like your thinking
Everyone has this misconception that Istanbul is cheaper. Yes it is cheaper but that Is because donât use Wagyu beef in Istanbul. The restaurants in Turkey all use local meat. He owns a number of farms in Turkey.
Wagyu beef is only used is Dubai, UK, USA and Mykonos.
@@HoggiSami It's just cheaper generally at the current exchange rate.
For comparison, the Nusr-et special sushi is ÂŁ7 in Istanbul and ÂŁ23 in London. The dish looks identical.
A Coca Cola is ÂŁ9 and a Red Bull ÂŁ11 in London. A soft drink was less than ÂŁ2 in Istanbul.
I'm absolutely certain they could do 2 days (1 night) in Istanbul including a 5* hotel room and return flights on Pegasus + eating at Nusr-et (a very similar meal, if not for Wagyu) and have a chunk of change from ÂŁ900 for sure.
@@HoggiSami what type of wagyu does he use? There is also a miss conception that all wagyu beef is very expensive. Even if he was using kobe A5 grade wagyu, it should still not amount to this ridiculous prices.
There are much better steak houses in London, at the fraction of the cost. This just once again demonstrates how utterly brainwashed and stupid the human race can be.
I went here once, saw the extortionate prices and went a few miles down the road and bought a cow from a farmer. Best barbecue I've ever had.

A full đź wow now that's đ„© heaven

One of my favourite FRC review's, not because I enjoy a good steak, but because of the honesty it shows. Keep up the good work FRC team đđ
Unreal rip-off. Thanks for posting and dropping that coin - it looked all very standard - especially the sides. Bullet dodged for the rest of us.
That drama with the baklava was pathetic đ
Don't be jealous

If someone tried to feed me they're getting a smack. Awful place. Great review.
You couldn't afford it đ
Thanks for your review. That looks amazing but I'm happy just to take my whole big family out for dinner on the side of the road enjoying affordable street food. As long as i could see smile on their faces I'm happy & grateful for that đ
The other guy banging your cake around then violently cutting it up was amusing
He was like a bad salt bae impersonator
No steak is worth that price. He must be making an absolute fortune
Love ya Jess and Matt...great review... appreciate your thoughts...great work â€ïž
Appreciate the review and a solid review at that. Thanks đ đ

You can still buy cheap steak on the menu which is about ÂŁ40 and is more affordable.
Its an overpriced shithole for pretentious people and their instagram addiction
@@bradleycoopie503 this is exactly what I get from it, Iâve been to some very good restaurants but the egotism & atmosphere feels like everyoneâs watching you. Donât like that kind of atmosphere I wana come eat & relax.

Great, honest review. Really enjoyed this đđ»
Not exactly a Tom Cruise in Cocktail performance was it. The guy at the end made a right dogs dinner for no apparent reason
Love the review and principle of trying somewhere yourself and adding some context. For a once in a lifetime maybe to tick off the list if you canât get to Istanbul to go to the cheaper one haha
Thanks for stopping me visiting this place, I had a lovely long weekend away in Cornwall dining at some beautiful seafood restaurants instead.
Good review that chief, got your opinion across really well, without getting bamboozled by having the main man there. Top work!!
This is such a good review . I have been reviewing restaurants on google for years and ranked up almost 14 million views. Watching this detailed relaxed review gave me some what a inspiration to start my own channel. Thank you
Go do it mate! The new year!
Subbed.
So glad you have done this review. The country needs to know exactly what this place is all about. Keep up the good work, you are all legends đȘ
I can't see this restaurant lasting long, complete disgrace to humanity on so many levels
@PrimeVids lol well you're wrong, most of the world is debating on this, even the celebrities dont come back apparently. All salt bae is doing is moving places, robbing people's money and repeat
Brilliant content as always! Keep it coming
This is great Matt love the honesty salt filled socks lol definitely another element visiting while the man himself is there
2nd review I've watched and I'm loving the honesty and detail.
I appreciate that đđ
After seeing NUSR-ET on Billions, I always 'thought' I'd want to try it, but that's way out of my realm of justification for a meal. But what a great review!! Thanks for bringing it to us.
Intriguing mate, its the way forward for this channel imo. If it can be sustained financially of course!
Great review, your a natural comedian.
Considering the bill you paid, you werent rude or arrogant to the staff, and you can tell they enjoyed serving your team.
Agree with other comments, where the experience outweighs the food, and as a food reviewer, you can say you have reviewed the trend and viral character of "salt bae".
Got a new subscriber, keep up the good workđȘđżđȘđżđȘđż
Love the little toothpick flags in the sweetcorn, exactly like Nando's!
The food looked banging but I wouldnât be happy with the waiters messing around with all the theatrics. âF%#k off and let me eat my foodâ đ€Łđ
Totally agree đ
No disrespect, that's why people like you couldn't afford to go there
@@stepoversamirahman1436 đ€Łđđ€Łđ€Ł you know nothing about me!!
That is fine if it is not for you but surely you must understand that people go specially for the theatrics. The type of people who have money to burn and want to brag about being there on social media.
@@Mr.M1STER yeah donât get me wrong, Iâd happily pay for the food- it did look top notch, itâd be a nice treat. Iâd just request to be able to cut up my own food đ€Ł
Great review, dude. Bloody expensive đ« love watching ur podcast â€
Nice review. Never watched this channel before but it's good.
That is insanity - you could get 3 tasting menus plus wine at a 3* restaurant with actually interesting food for 2/3 of the price
Gordon Ramsay 3 Michelin star is only ÂŁ125 pp thatâs would be amazing. This place is all hype
This is what people think fine dining is. Itâs a disgrace.
Don't be jealous
I went to an Italian restaurant a few years back and the boss stood leaning on the next table and watched us eat the whole lot just so he could ask how it was.
First and only time I been there đ€Ł
What a weirdo. Creepy McItalianface
Great review. Thanks for this.
Mate, great review.. Of sheesh.. I've never been and I live in Woodford. I'm booking a table for 2 next week!
Enjoyed your video.
Fair play Matt for keeping it real and not just following the hype
Salt Bae is a knob head chancer, ripping everyone off
Yea but the sheep love it stop hating your just mad ahhaahahha
@@halo20678 I don't think anybody is mad, as a adult anyone can dine in that place but it's about having sense, if you look at our world today, being a sheep is a big problem, even the man who did this review didn't look excited at the end, even he knew he got robbed lmfao 700+ pounds for 2 steaks when he could of brought 3 of the same steaks for everybody for a total of 180 pounds at a different steakhouse with the same quality đââïžđ
â@@halo20678 Yeah, just like Apple running their broad daylight robbery by marketing and selling off low quality smartphone junks known as the iPhone which can literally do nothing much compared to a better, and cheaper Android smartphone such as Samsung S21 Ultra 5G or Note 20 Ultra 5G that have so many useful features.
@@Prometheus574 u hit the nail on the head my friend
Who does provide the meat? Is it grown genetically modified in lab?
Really enjoyed this honest review
Honest review. Loved it.
Very good review Matt, I agree with you, myself and my daughter have been to better places in London for less money, but absolutely great that you have given such an honest opinion.
*A man who says he's a former employee of Salt Bae's London restaurant has called it "McDonald's for rich people" for serving frozen fries, according to a Mail Online article published on Thursday*
Great honest feedback. Yet to try it out cheers mate
Great review! Very fair perspective.
I think the confusion you might be feeling is if you've actually been robbed or not hahaha. Great review. The guy has managed to get into the whole show off social media society and played it perfectly good luck to him and he must be paying a fortune to run a restaurant in knightsbridge so I'm sure that will have a knock on affect on prices but lunch for 3 for just under a bag of sand is sickening
I agree with what you say, a great meal is who you are with and what the food is like. The problem with going to this place is you know it is going to cost a fortune and that would be at the fore front of my mind all the time and make the experience less enjoyable. Definitely better places to go for an amazing steak without have to spend nearly ÂŁ1000. Great review Matt đ
Couldn't agree more. Goodman Steak house up the road in Mayfair has been wonderful on every visit, at a fraction of the cost of that Salt Bae pantomime.
First time ever on your channel! You actually look a really nice humble person!
Very surprised at how honest you were here. Good on you đđ»
I blame our dumb society for giving Salt Bae a pedestal!
If a white guy was doing this you'd call him a genius or give them a Michelin star.
Excellent review ... Well that's cured restaurant envy ! I saw nothing new or exceptional on the plate .. In fact, I would have felt completely patronized by the over the top antics going on around your table ! I felt your comments after being "fed" steak summer it all up up really .. Great review thank you
Love the honesty at the end mate
Great, honest review! đđŒ
The review everyone has been waiting for and it didnât disappoint. Honesty is the best policy support localâŠ. Just saying!
Anything for the views eh even if you have to slag off independently owned businesses and tell people to avoid
@@MrTazmania121 oh belt up!
salt bae must travel every day of the year (maybe even multiple times a day) 'cause i swear he's a different branch of his restaurant every day.
Great review, i think you sold me Sheesh more than this place, now personally i recently ate from "Steak on the green" in ealing. Absolute banger. shame "the meat co." have closed there branch in london but that was another favourite
Bro your review was wicked đđŻ
"Theatre" seems a bit much for what is essentially a bloke in a white shirt doing a stupid snarl/sneer at his customers and another guy flipping a piece of baklava over, making a silly noise and cutting it up poorly. It's not exactly Benihana. The epitome of the emperor's new clothes. Hat's off for an honest review and if people want to go, fair enough, but it's really just a place for people with more money than sense to go for bragging rights.
totally agree, the dude literally butchered the baklava for no reason - style (and not that much) over substance
â@@cylok2871 I don't know what's more cringe, the choo choo noise he does at 10:20, the fireball pose he does at 10:22 or the little spinny thing he does at 10:32 with the ice cream with the fork. It would be embarrassing at a cheap restaurant, let alone a place with these menu prices.
Good and honest review. I would prefer if they just brought the food and left it on the table instead of messing about with it, the waiting staff seemed to get quite close, although this is all part of the 'theatre'. Salt Bae seems really creepy though.
Food does look amazing but prices me out big time, great vidđ
Very happy this popped up on my feed. Subscribed!
Welcome!
Excellent review! To be honest, I thought the owner knowing you have spent a fortune in his restaurant would have been more talkative rather than pulling a few faces and throwing salt all over the place. Looking at the review Iâd prefer to have spent the money at 2 different 5 star restaurants. Love every review you guys do
â€ïž
It's his theatric, a (mostly) mute, acrobatic chef who appears from the kitchen and majesticly cuts, salts and feeds you a piece of the meal, then walks away.
That's part of the character, he doesn't usually talk.
I am intrigued by the manager's assault on the dessert. Maybe he was having an off day?
Like Matt said the guy himself isnât forcing anyone to go and eat there but people still go there and the place is always busy. Heâs an entrepreneur and thatâs how heâs made his millions. Heâs made a brand. I wouldnât go there personally but each to their own!
Love your honesty
Itâs about the pride, prestige and extravagance. (Also, ripping off fools who are willing to pay for a ÂŁ37,000 bill) đ€Ł
who's bill was that? did they ate a dragon steak there?
some people have a lot of money they don't know where to spend
Me watching this in my pj's eating spaghetti hoops, turkey dinosaurs and hash browns
"Looks alright"
fuck man your reviews are really good. bit taken back by how honest they are.
Tender AF, Tasty AF...pricey AF. Thanks for making and posting. Cheers and yes, it's about who you're with. Great line.
Can't stand people overlooking me and interfering when I'm trying to enjoy a meal. Steak was rare, not medium to rare as stated by the waiter and you could get as much of that cut plus many other cuts of steak for ÂŁ28 at my local rodizio. Fair play for trying it though.
Why do I feel like he was tryna show off his apple watch
lovely review Sir
Hey Mate đ, loved the video. Just subscribed. Are you wearing Ray Ban Justins at the end and whatâs the frame width on them ?
Wagyu ribeye for ÂŁ60? Fact check. That most likely was not true Japanese wagyu. But everyone likes what they like. Good video. Cheers! đ»đ»
Me and my husband went to the one in Miami back in July for our 21st wedding anniversary. We got the burger and fries each and I think it was 70 something but the food was good and the restaurant was really nice. They also gave us complementary vanilla bean ice cream.
Oooh complimentary..... How reasonable

Been watching your vids for a few weeks but this one made me sub. Worked in two michelin starred restaurants and the one thing I fucking hate more than anything else is pretension. I reckon this review was spot-on.
Says something about me that I wouldnât go here even if it was free. What a faff! That boy messing about with dessert, them hanging about table etc do one!! Complete nonsense of a place although great review by yourself mate. Very honest
The restaurant is not made for boys like you to dine at lol
Fair play with the review, I thought Matt was going to big it up. Just be honest, good lad.
I love your honest review and I do agree 100% with all u said , I only wanna ad : itâs just more a place that is so hyped that wealthy people may wanna go their like 2-3 times to try different think ( especially the golden version ) and brag about spending 6-9-12k on wine and steak , so definitely something u may wanna try once but yeah itâs not worth the money but does worth the experience.
"I've got salt in my socks" hilarious mate haha
Matt - How did you keep a straight face through all of that?? It was so hilarious and over the top!!
This place is the definition of pretension. The price they feel they have to charge makes it rub shoulders with Londonâs most decorated restaurants and on that showing itâs not fit to clean their boots. Matt, at the end of that review you honestly looked like someone who had just been the victim of a scam. If they expect to be able to get away with charging a bag of sand for that, this roadshow will hopefully disappear as quickly as it arrived. Good honest review.
@Pull out The lapel The nusr-et london restaurant was mentioned recently for it's poor reviews regarding quality of food and service. For a price of a coke I could buy a 24 pack elsewhere. That tells me all I need to know. People deserve to be ripped off when they are happy to pay such prices and throw their money away, but of course what is hard earned for one person is spare change to another - and whether people realise it or not with the latter, are still being taken advantage of even if they can afford it
Thing is, the prices they have are double or treble the prices for some of londons best places & these places you have to book weeks/months in advance for half the price if not less, without the drama lol
"Salt Baeâs Nusr-Et London restaurant reports ÂŁ7 million sales in its first four months." This world has fully gone mad paying dumb prices for food because some clown puts salt on it in a weird way and wanting insta pics
Good vid fella

Well done for taking the hit so others don't have to. But yeah...the theatre and location is what your paying for, not just gold things.
