The jey uso hate is so forced on the internet rn, im ngl
It definitely is
His only issue is his limited moveset but that doesn't matter when he's one of the top 3 most over people in the company.
That shouldn’t be a factor considering most of the great have limited moveset as well but had charisma on there side which what jey has
Yall workrate marks need to drop this narrative tbh
@@davyunwashington3613 Ikr and to me rn he's getting the same 5 moves of doom type of treatment meanwhile his charisma is through the roof with the crowd so if anything his moveset can evolve overtime is what i think could happen
@@1KQ_ stop throwing around the word mark when u dont know what it means
Considering a guy like Hogan became a legend for his character and not his workrate in the ring, why couldn't Jey become a main eventer based off of that ideology. Besides while his moveset is a bit limited it's not THAT bad!
In the first minute, you mention Jimmy Uso injury playing a heavy role in everything. Please also know that it was Bryan Danielson who had creative control in putting Jey Uso in the storyline as well as being a singles competitor. We can thank the American dragon for the house tbh
Never knew the Bryan Danielson bit. Learn something new everyday!
What storyline? The bloodline?
@@bigbrain1053 yeah the bloodline storyline
@@Sooplex oh yeah it's something that I've always thought about. Bryan Danielson played such a monumental role and so did a few other people behind the scenes.
I don’t think anyone has played a monumental role into putting Jey in this storyline as much as his own cousin and blood Roman 😅 Roman been on interviews saying he been wanting to do this for years before he even became a heel
You mean to tell me an outsider suddenly did more than him ?
I swear Jey had the one bad match with Jimmy and now everyone acts like he hasn’t had a single good match in his singles career
That’s how it be I’ve seen it many times 1 match can make or break your perception
Bianca vs banks changed the perception of bianca as a worker
Jey problems are:
1- Move set.
2-been placed in matches everyone knows he ain’t winning, specially title matches.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that.
Jey could definitely be a main event level talent. He just needs a better moveset tbh.
Not really
He’s already a main event talent
He's a great wrestler with a really limited move pool. Definitely needs to add more moves to make him better
when u compare him to other main event talent, it becomes clear he does not belong there. Why force him in a place where he will never look good, he fits perfectly in the upper midcard (which was never a bad thing to begin with)
@@nicktasteless360 naw he belong
Jey and Jimmy have chemistry it's just they have the same moveset
"How do you wrestle and act like a midcarder?"
See Jimder Mahal. Dude was champion but wasn't really using WWE's main event style.
But, he does have a point about Jey Uso in a way. If the man can differentiate his style from his brother, I think he can get more diverse as a character and wrestler. The reason why the Hardy brothers can work together and separately was because of styles differentiated from each other enough to where they can go on their own to still be top-level guys with the right booking. Without the Bloodline story, I don't know how they are going to book the Usos in a way that they differentiate from each other.
But most Samoans wrestle the same. There are a few exceptions.
The man contradicted himself the whole video😂 I think he hates Jey Uso fr
Jey needs a more diverse moveset. When he gets tossed to the apron, you know he's going for the enziguri. When he's getting punched/chopped, he's going for the shimmy/slap. When he runs the ropes, spear. When he's getting worked on, superkick. It's the same procedure every match and it gets old after a while. I really started to feel this way after Backlash and I've been watching since a few weeks after SummerSlam.
I think I agree more with you some more in ring seasoning to add more moves and clearly his strength is character work he's shown he can be both serious and funny, as long as he's given more to sink his teeth in he can still excel
They guy who made that Jey Uso video has to be Drew McIntyre with a voice changer. That's how crazy the hate is.
Lmaoooo
This comment needs to be pinned
I disagree with the statement that he can’t be a main eventer. There are a lot of main eventers past present and future that have horrible ring work but have great charisma (take hogan and la knight as examples) and then there are main eventers that have great ring work but their charisma wasn’t always there (Roman reigns before he was the tribal chief and HHH as examples). Jey uso has both. He can get the crowd into his matches, cool catchphrases, and he does in fact have some good ring work and tricks up his sleeve. I can picture him as a champion it’s just they have not done that just yet. He’s lost three times to Roman and just recently lost to Damian priest. It’s not that he wouldn’t be a good main eventer it’s just there’s not a scenario I see right now where he SHOULD be wwe champion or world heavyweight champion
LA Knight (yeah) is incredible in the ring. He not just all charisma
@@knightfury9981 He’s alright but compared to other main eventers with good ring work he doesn’t stand up to them
@@knightfury9981 He’s alright but compared to other main eventers with good ring work he doesn’t stand up to them
I would beg to differ, but that's your opinion. I just wanted to share mine.
@@knightfury9981 no I respect yours too. Dont get me wrong I love La knight. He reminds me of an attitude era guy. And I want him to win a main title
I have a lot of respect for both you and the guy making this video. I think you both had really good points.
The only reason Jey isn't where he should be is because of the constant stop/start booking. Jey has proven his mettle against WWE's best, he needs consistency
Nope I disagree jey uso can be a main event wrestler as Bro is literally one of the biggest faces of Raw but he just needs a finisher and a successful title reign .
His finisher is the splash bro
@@Kevin-eu5uc yeah a new and better one 🙃
He needs a new move set entirely and better mic skills. He should go study greats like Kurt Angle.
Honestly jey should just adopt some new variety of moves and then we will be square but i fw jey
i think if jey adds to his moveset and gets out of that "tag team guy" space then i could see him as a main eventer/ champion.
Jey definitely can be a Main eventer he just needs more practice and he needs to challenge big legends in the business to help him get there
I agree with his video. I saw it a couple days ago. Jey will probably win the World title one day but he's not as crazy as u make him seem. Ppl called the quality of that WM40 match months before it was announced. Amd your defense of Jey was "chemistry" when top guys should elevate the matches they are in. And yes "Yeet" is funny but it's a mid card gimmick. Also the IC title is more prestigious than the World title at the moment.
Stories elevate matches
Do people not realize that no matter how good you are in the ring if you can’t be charismatic with the crowd they won’t push you
Yes they would WWE pushed Great Khali, Sid, Jinder Mahal, Charlotte, Vladimir Kozlov and Jack Swagger who had zero charisma and all got pushes
Chad Gable or Bron Breaker to end Gunther IC run and yes for the Jey vs Jimmy match at Mania I was hoping Jimmy would have adopted a more technical style like telling a story by working Jey's legs trying to eliminate the super kick and splash. Could have had a moment where Jimmy tell Jey "I know what you're going to do before you do it, cause I'm your brother.". But nah we got what we got.
I swear the dude you were watching wouldn't stop glazing Hulk Hogan and the rock, Sheesh get that dude a life
Jey is great... Im just glad they are trying to get new blood into the Main Event. That 1st main event he had with Roman... I was LOCKED IN. Beautiful storytelling. Hes not there yet as a world champion but im def ready to see him have a run with a mid card championship
Jimmy and Jey could had been a good match if they actually had time as single competitors and developed each other moveset as single competitors
The wrestlemania match could've been hyped better imo. All we got was Jimmy interfering in Jey's matches, and then it was on for WrestleMania. They should've had Jimmy doing the same thing Jey was doing but on Smackdown. Have him win some matches, and challenge Logan for his US Title. He would obviously lose, but it would work into why Jimmy starts interfering in Jey's matches and why he interfered in the SummerSlam match, bc he doesn't want Jey to win a single title before he does.
Theres definately a few wrestlers pushed beyond their in-ring ability.
The match at SummerSlam Roman got injured early in the match too so Roman was limited in the things he could do. Also Drew vs Randy was the main event of hell in a cell just a minor side note.
The Tribal Combat match is something I liked, but it definitely felt off. Either posponing it or even being experimental and removing the World Title from the picture in favor of making it just about the Tribal Chief role would have made it conceptually better.
Jey is almost 40 and been wrestling since his early 20s. If he hasnt done it by now, he wont. Wrestling is rarely one of those things where you get better later in your career. Maybe if he would have left some years ago, built himself up at another promotion and just now came back but that ship has sailed too.
jey has been a tag team wrestler for over 10 years and this is only his first year on the single run i think he is a main event material and he is the most over wrestler in the whole company. his match with jimmy wasnt good but they both wrestled together for 10+ years, and they didnt had alot of time for some reason
I think what he means by the Intercontinental Title being worth more than the World Heavyweight Title is that Gunther’s reign was so good that it managed to become even more prestigious than Seth’s WHC reign. And even after Gunther lost the belt, Sami is continuing the momentum that he created. Damian Priest is not doing that with the WHC. That’s why the IC title feels more prestigious rn
Its the move set for me. Without Jimmy the current move set does not work heavily in singles matches. Matter of fact the Spear and rock slap were good additions. Him and his brother don't have their own move. They do the same things with Superkicks being very frowned upon for obvious reasons.
When The Rock and SCSA were at the peak of their popularity, did you have any doubts about their main event status when they spoke or wrestled? No, because they were undeniable. With Jey, it feels like he's trying too hard to keep up with actual main event-level talent. He has no gravitas and his in-ring work isn't good enough to carry him past his weak promos. I am genuinely surprised the crowd likes him and "Yeet!" is such a weak catchphrase.
I mean, he has a point, I normally see Jey as a good midcarder, however right now he seems like a better option for WHC than Damian, and he is doing ok with what they gave him. When he said that he acts and wrestle like a midcarder he probably thinks about Jey having typical moveset that Samoans have plus superkick, and his promo work is also kinda meh often, even though he can cut decent promo from time to time. He is over and is doing good now, normally he is good midcarder but right now he can work as upper midcarder/main eventer.
People hating on jey for the limited moves same happened to cena but look at those same fans now
Why do you film vertically 😂
Thing is i get that jey uso is over af and i really like him but i could never see him do what gunther, sheamus, randy or aj did this week.
Those main event matches were ppv levels matches.
He wrestles like a tag team guy in a singles match and it doesn't work if his matches go longer than 20 minutes
Is a "midcard match" to him just a mediocre main event and/or title match?
They always shit on wrestlers with limited movsets smh
They always crap on wrestlers who are pushed
Bad movesets are more accurate
Yea. Same happened with Cena. This isn't surprising
But they like LA KNIGHT who is a great talker but in the ring he isnt that great but he is loved
@@JordanODash because he ain’t getting pushed yet
This D1 level hating right here 🔥🔥🔥
Jey already explained that WWE cut the match short for him and Jimmy.. that’s not his fault…I was a little disappointed at their match too but only because of their move set…One of them should have said let me switch it up and add a special move that the other one never seen before.. I think it would be cool. But see for them they never had to think about getting a finisher move because they were always in a tag team together and their finisher is one they do together.
I could definitely see how Jey matches doesn’t hold enough of a punch especially when he going against other wrestlers that beefier moveset. I’m telling you right now.. I’m nervous for him going against Draganov…dude is brutal and his finisher 🫣 I’ll be surprised if Jey makes it to the next round
this Monday jey uso better deliver again dragunov if not
How can Jey be one of the better actors if he constantly broke character?
Maybe not the wwe title but I'd be down with him wining the world title even if he has a short run he deserves atleast 1 world title to his name
Im here to defend the jey vs jimmy uso match at WrestleMania
Jey Uso stole his girlfriend. 😆🤭
I think he needs a whole new a move-set
Now, I agree with his broad opinion, he just doesnt have thst main event feel to me, that can always change though. BUT, he had a piss poor attempt at explaining it, he just came off as the "I don't like this wrestler, i hope they get burried" type
Feels forced but I get it! If that’s how you feel, I ain’t mad!
If it was all about moveset then hogan warrior wouldn't have been over.I don't know about aew but wwe is all about connecting with audience.
He is right tho its feel like the only thing jey have to pull the fan towards him is his yeet catchphrase, other then that he just not all thats interesting snd in time the fans will turn on him
The title of this video should be "Hating on Jey Uso, whether he deserves it or not."
He’s just not the main guy that doesn’t mean he isn’t a big deal
he’s just small and his move set is wack
Orton or AJ would destroy dude
They aren’t actors anyway the bloodline is Jeys story. It started with Roman wanting Jey to acknowledge him
Yesh i dont quite agree that someone cant be main event material, it doesn't matter what their in ring work is, is the fans love them to death and they get more cheers than 99 percent of the roster then that is what matters most to me, jey isnt even that bad in ring he just has a repetitive moveset which can get tiring but if hes still over then thats whats most important
i don’t wanna make it a race thing but… the majority of wrestling fans are white and Jey has more an urban persona to his character. they don’t get his lingo, his mannerisms and all that shit. it prob makes them feel uncomfortable. i love seeing dragonuv tweak as much as the next guy, the dickriding is crazy. bro def sounds like a european fan that prefers his wrestlers looking like him. he reminds me of a jeff hardy, who was also a tag team guy with a decent move set and a shit ton of charisma. why was it cool when he did it?
The Only Problem With Jey USO Honestly is the fact he lacks character even with all this Momentum and Charisma. LA KNIGHT is still so over that he will still be Main Event Level. He has the character to make people want to see him win or as a heel to lose. Even Roman Reigns finally started understanding the character is the key to being great.
Jey uso is over, crowd reaction and merchandise sales.
Don’t think he has it to me a top top guy but he’ll be very useful in upper Midcard.
Seen a lot of people say his entrance is over more than him but people are chosing to spend money on his merch
I disagree because he always has showed his amazing talent except for at wrestlemania 40 when it was just super kicks and spears but jeys backlash match showed that he has some talent that definitely needs to be used like I get it’s your opinion but honestly y’all as much as y’all say y’all like him y’all sleep on him because once he gets a title in his hands it will get to show his talent because weather you disagree or agree he’s proven that tag teams can become solo champions but they keep tryna push him for the biggest tittle when it does not makes sense give him the nxt tittle the us tittle the ic tittle and it will be amazing
I think he has it he needs to expand his move set and eventually drop the yeet thing and he’ll be good people go crazy for him, I just don’t think attaching your gimmick to an out dated meme is gonna mean longevity for it
Why would you drop yeet when it’s over 😂 you dumb fans make no sense
Jey needz sum mo moves
How can you say that? Okay yeah he’s had a lot of chances and he’s lost but he still works hard.. how dare you say that he isn’t main event material..
It’s just that when they do pull him back, we’re all gonna bitch and moan about how “they wasted him” or “they never gave him a chance”. THEY ALREADY FUCKING DID!!! He wasted it with super kicks and stealing Roman’s spear
it just seems like hating to be honest. He says in the video a wrestler doesn't need to have insane wrestling ability just charisma which Jey has he just doesn't like Jey Uso
Jey Usos can be a main eventer, but his current superkick and yeet spamming leave much to be desired.
I think Jey needs is single title with either Ic or us champion and make him legitment run with those titles. To have legitment claim that he go world title run. Have him win Royal Rumble and then go against the champ with title for title. Then he can be truly consider one the best championship win at mania with not only one but two titles. True Roman as did with both heavyweight champion. But can you imagine if beat Roman or better yet Cody (the person who beat Roman) to show his family the whole tribal cheif was pure nonsense.
At the end of the day. Jey Uso single matches aren't very good. His only really solid singles matches are Clash of Champions, Hell in a Cell. He is a phenomenal tag team wrestler. Same with Jimmy, but tbh I am much more entertained with Jimmy vs. Randy, LA, or Aj on Smackdown over Jey vs. Shinsuke, Seth, and Finn on Raw.
Nothing wrong with jey uso. People on the internet don't fall for it
I agree he shouldn't be in the main event until he gets less annoying with the whole yeet thing
He cool I just don’t like his matches
Honestly, dude, who made this video just a hater Jay USO should win a world championship.
He is tho if jimmy didnt cost him the matchs he wouldve won the title
Mann...i just don't connect with jey!!!
His limited vocabulary and the biggest problem is his limited vocabulary!! Mann i have only heard him say yeet and uce in last 6 months !!!
This guy sounds more like a jey uso hater
Fr certified yapper
'Does this guy think Jey is the only person in these matches?'
Sometimes, my dude, your takes are straight stupid. He obviously doesn't think that, but what he's correct fully identified is that Jey is the constant variable in all these bad matches. I like Jey as a character, but his matches are the absolute worst. Superkick, Superkick, Weird spit-slap, Superkick, Superkick, weak-ass Spear, Uso Splash. He's charismatic, and he's entrtaining, but he can't seem to work a decent match. He was fantastic as a tag guy, and maybe his style suits that, but he hasn't figured out how to work a singles match well yet.
For example, he isn't the only person in the Roman/Jey match - but we've seen Roman produce absolute bangers with almost everybody else, and Uso hasn't. So it makes sense to assume Uso is the problem.
Just hating for the sake of hating
Finally someone said it
Nah I’m jey uso all the way. Give that man the strap. Hell I’d take him over damien priest any day
Bro why yall talking about his moveset so much when Cena literally had 5 moves?? How diverse was Austin? How diverse was the rock? If Jey started at a singles competitor nobody would be saying anything. This is a stupid point.
Jey Uso is an entrance thats it, dude is half responsible for one of the worst WrestleMania matches of all time outside of his Pandemic era matches with Roman and his two matches with Seth and Gunther I can not remember a single match of Jey's that had me like "WOW I need to go back and watch it again" he's not that guy and its time accept it
This dude dont make no dam sense 😂
He actually has a point about Joey's limited moveset and needed much better moves to replace the old moves.....and Jey character after bloodline is basically a Yeet man and I think he deserves to be treated much more than 1 dimensional character.
@tuanmohdarfantuankhusairry2977 dude literally said he should win the world title tho 😂
Lol couldn’t even watch the viedo this comment is just for the title of the viedo simply that Stop The cap Catchphrase theme music. USO splash homage to jimmy fly bruh has tequila sunrise as a submission. Just cause he put on a super kick party at mania don’t mean he not main event
Daddy sooplex come here bbg
I swear at this point if I hear any person with a UK accent try to give a wrestling take I automatically just ignore it lol they always give a shit take and will die on the hill for it
Why are you gehh
