Hi I just need a bit of guidance please I am totally new to this and working on a project where I have to validate the fire alarm system on a site, what I need to do is add symbols and text, I don't need to draw much,just a few lines at most, I have the DWGs of original drawings, what should I use nanoCAD or FreeCAD, I work for a fire company and this will really impress my bosses, any tips and help would be appreciated.
Hello, I think NanoCAD will be your best bet because it's quite like Autocad. A friend of mine who runs an architecture business asked me for help with some dwg drawings and I was able to help because NanoCAD can work with DWG files. I'm not so sure that freecad can open dwgs, I could be wrong but I would go with nanocad, hope that helps.
