Partly responsible... it's a Sam Spacey production originally credited to No One Driving and originally on Phoenix Platinum. I don't actually think Jon had anything to do with it initially. The major label release, which is a different production, was credited to No One Driving vs. Novacane (Jon the Dentist).

Great interview although i would disagree with Jon about the Euro dance sound never being that popular in the UK...especially seeing as in the other interviews with people like Signum, Ferry, Thrillseekers, Safari Duo etc its the UK charts that their singles performed the best on commercially in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Only finally got round to watching this interview with Jon. He makes some valid point which I totally agree on, but I pissed myself laughing with the 'Adagio For Strings' didn't work on any level. I pretty sure a composer like William Orbit wouldn't release a track that didn't sound right with a 4/4 beat? And then Ferry Corsten provide a remix with another 4/4 beat and end up with best selling remixes of 1999? LOOOOL! Jon it seems, isn't afraid to say or write his opinions. Just don't mention Brexit... oops.

Not sure i agree with him that todays trance music is better than 90's stuff, i presume he's talking about early 90's and not mid to late 90's because that was the golden time for trance. Production quality may be worse on some early stuff but the tunes were way better. Today's trance is too generic and most producers have just took samples from older tunes.

Respect to the Dentist but... 'modern trance is better'... get out of here. "The production is superior"... who cares? Technically maybe. But just because something is technically better doesn't make it better to listen to or more entertaining. Nowadays, it all sounds the same. Cookie cutter producers sitting in front of their laptops all using the same bloody 'sample packs'. Rougher production, synths, drum machines, finding your own samples was what gave the older tracks character and individuality. There's a reason this channel covers mostly nineties and early noughties music...
