Classic track
Ferry's remix of this is utterly devastating. There is no greater compliment. (Also, I love 'Another Day' for the same reason and only realise via this fabulously informative video - for which thanks! - that it includes an interpolation, which explains A LOT!)
❤️
OMG the very prospect (and missed opportunity) of a Lange remix of 'Saltwater'... 😢 (The way he says 'Chicane - Saltwater' absolutely indicates that he deeply regrets not doing it, even though he then says that he thinks he made the right decision.)
Oh my goodness I've only just discovered his 2013 cover of 'Hold That Sucker Down'. How do I miss these things?
Honestly I think the Lange's Sunset Dub mix of this ties with Communication Part 2 as my favourite trance track ever. It's so beautiful and dissolves me every single time. (That's E minor for you.)
This is a bit off topic (although Felix and JX were both on Hooj Choons, so there's a connection of sorts) but I was so thrilled to discover Rex The Dog's 'Change This Pain For Ecstasy' last year. I thought, thank God people are still making music like this! 😍😍😍
I didn't realise how well this did everywhere. The international chart positions on Wikipedia are insane. The original is of course everything but the Candy Girls remix adds a certain deranged something.
Just discovered these interviews. Love your work! Re-igniting the my love for all of these incredible dance tracks
Thanks so much! More to come soon, so much in the works, so little time 😂🙈
I love how he located the term "topless features" rather than going for "tits" 😂😂😂
😂
I'm really pleased to see this one being recognised and discussed. I especially love the Sulphuric Mix (czcams.com/video/FkD0qrXPwNc/video.html).
I love this song. The Quivver Amityville Vocal is particularly stunning.
Hello !!! How about Antiloop interview?)
I would love that, but unfortunately I don’t have a travel budget for these interviews…. So I can only do interviews with people who live nearby (I’m based in the south of the Netherlands), or with people who visit The Netherlands for gigs or so. Muzikxpress is “just” a hobby for me and unfortunately there’s not much advertising revenue if you don’t have millions of views…. Thanks for your understanding!

What do you think? 😉
These two are responsible for so many enduringly stunning, incredibly beautiful and emotionally charged trance classics ❤️
This jam was hitting hard back in mid 90 out in Chicago
The GREATEST ERA EVER!!!! All these songs were my best carefree childhood!!!! Thank you for this Twan!!! 🥹
When I discovered Punk, it must have been '06 or '07, and it was very hard to find by then. Thankfully, it was released on an ASOT classics volume. And shortly after on his Flashback label. Thank you, Ferry, for a timeless and original track. 🙏
The whole of the So Alive album is fantastic, well worth seeking out
Still love this song ❤❤❤
Ever since I first heard that track, it was literally imprinted in my brain. Lost the songs name and producer over the years, but never forgot the melody, sometimes randomly humming it not even knowing why. Even today, it still sends shivers down my spine. Was so f*kin happy to rediscover it with the 2015 version! But I still think the original is best, its timeless :)
Kleiner Nachtrag ,, er war der Mann meiner schlaflosen Nächte Robby❤,und er sieht immer noch gut aus
legends 💥💥💥
legend
🙌🏻
Loved this interview... What a great guy and passionate man. Loved how he told his story with a certain level of enthousiasm & nostalgia. Also the "ja toch" that slipped in at 21:10 was quite funny.
Thanks so much! And indeed, ja toch? 😂😉 BTW, one more interview with Jeroen will be posted in a few weeks as well!
Such a versatile music maker, the hithouse stuff was awesome,I remember it around the early start of the uk hardcore/techno scene , along with R&S Record's that were getting released over here, good music to this day, iconic and very well produced ❤❤❤ thanks for the fun memories dude , I still listen to that music 30 years later 👍
🙌🏻
First time I heard it, I cried. The pinnacle of what trance should be That piano breakdown says it all without saying very much.
That's how Trance is supposed to make you feel!
bought the floorfiller e.p. at the Wild shop and went to Subtopia around that time. golden days!
Aaahhh lucky! I bet those were golden days indeed! BTW, nice to see you here Eric! Legend!
Jeroen, I am one of those fans. I look forward to every new Party Animals release. Atomic my all time favourite. Hope to hear new Party Animals stuff in the future for sure, next to the golden classics!
🤞🏻
Normally i speed up al CZcams videos but for him i just listen all of the video with normal speed😍😁
trading an amiga for a 909, those were the days
What a deal right? 😂
Need that FRD sweater! 👍🏼
haha Twan, I started the video and it instantly made me smile, because I have the exact same SuperDry T-shirt
Haha nice one! I love SuperDry! 😊
"The Dutch accent that everybody in The Netherlands hates" Yeah and everybody else in the world can't get enough of !! 🇳🇱🌷
So true! Whenever people complain about my accent, it’s usually Dutchies! 😂🙈🤡
Still remember exactly where I was when I first heard 'Rubb It In'. What a time to be alive Great interview as ever Twan! 👏
Thanks so much! 🙌🏻
Classic is the future again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Throw you hair up in the air!
Yo Twan, thanks for this amazing interview (as always). Being 44 years old, this man is one of the Dutch dance music icons. With the House Party 1 mix cd, I heard "Fierce Ruling Diva - Rubb It In" for the first time and then also on Move the House 3. Of course, what he started with the Party Animals, his influence is massive to the Dutch dance / hardcore scene. Thanks and probs to him doing this interview.
Thank you so much! Always happy to read when people enjoy the interviews!
This track "Rubb It In" is the way techno sounded when I first started DJing in the very early 90's, along with tracks from producers like Prodigy, Bizzare Inc, Moby, etc. Fierce Ruling Diva was a very influential producer back then. I'll never forget the way this underground rave music first sounded, it was glorious. Thanks so much for arranging this interview!
W30 was in die tijd toch wel een krachtige machine. Prodigy heeft daar ook veel op gemaakt. Boys Interface van DJ Rob ook (ok niet de sequencing maar de sampling). Zit ook een cool filter in.
Love that song then and still to this day 🔥
So Twan! I LOVE the things You do with the intrviews of imho legends when it comes to edm theese days. One of my greatest questions is based on th fact that most of theese "guys" were schooled in a classical form of music schoole. One was a drummer, another was a guitarist etc. Eventually they all "clashed" with the digital world. And now here is my Q. Also one that id like You to bring up futurewise interwievs if possible. How big of an impact would they say the digital world brought upon them and how do they see in the fact that Ai comming up, and what they think of it. Best regards
Thanks so much! And good one, let's see what I can do in some of the future interviews! :) LOTS in the works hehe
Unforgottable times with the mythical Sash!!
Pure Gold!
Wow! An hour and some flew by, Flamman is such an interesting man and has wonderful stories to share❤😊 ive always loved FRD, and grown to love their tunes as a Rotterdam person😅 this man, together with Jeff have made such a great contribution and changes to the (Dutch) housescene, and always are ready to light up a party! 🎉❤🔥💃🔥
Thanks a lot! And yes, Jeroen has so many great stories! What a legend! Glad you enjoyed the interview!
@@muzikxpress I saw how long it was, and was like, wow! I don't know if that's going to happen... But it flew by, you've got good questions, and Jeroen can talk about all that fascinating history. Amazingly they made their first tracks with such minimal tools and instruments! Maybe that was due to them both being regular musicians first?
Thanks Jeroen and Twan :)
And thank you too!
Twan bedankt! Deze Rotterdammer is groot fan van deze man. Next up Klubbheads? 😎
Dank je wel! En de Klubbheads staan al een hele tijd op mijn lange wish-list. Tot nu toe helaas nog niet gelukt om wat in te plannen, hopelijk gaat het er ooit nog eens van komen :)
i wanted to skip this interview, but than i remembered the Flamman & Abraxis duo and watched the whole interview! really entertaining and informative. Prachtig!
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed the interview!
Amazing interview. Respect for flamman and abraxis or fierce rulling diva ....hope on more of this interviews😇
Thank you so much! More to come for sure! Still have about 8 interviews to edit and like 6+ to prepare / record for the next months hehe
Great interview! I played Rubb It In relentlessly. Loudest bit I've vinyl I ever owned too.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the interview!
SShit, yeah, it WAS loud, wasn't it! Just reminded me of that 👏
