    That batarang thing was from the Batman and Spawn crossover written by Frank Miller. Miller wasn't exactly the most gracious of hosts at the time and acted like, well, a modern Batman fanboy in it. He knew practically nothing about Spawn, but he sure as heck didn't hold back on his worship for Batman in their crossover, often treating Al like crap and even called him an "undisciplined fool" despite the fact that Spawn was ex-military, a highly trained and disciplined hitman who knew how to fight well, with or without weapons.
    Also, the maskless appearance isn't even based off of that, there are numerous times in the comics, the movie and even the cartoon where Spawn takes off his mask. He looks that way because his body was burned by the man who hired him.

There were variants of it in blue instead of black, another maskless dubbed "Hamburger Head" with a shoelace stitching his face showing continuity with the Batman crossover, and a third that is both blue and maskless with no shoelace, but instead a few crawling worms dubbed either "Blue Hamburger Head" or "Worm Head".

      Also, around his highschool years, Todd was constantly making sketches to send to comic companies so he could get a job in the industry he was impassioned for. I guess he didn't believe that he'd get there through studying. He was clearly putting all his eggs in that basket, and it definitely paid off. Guy's super successful, haha.

      As someone who is nearly a spawn expert I can say yes though awesome spawn seems random but that's because Todd changes his universe based on his beliefs and kinda forgets to finish storylines and kinda winds them all together while constantly dropping plot bombshells don't believe me? Well he was leading up to some big reveal about god himself and then they did other stuff then they just reincarnated god and the devil yada yada apocalypse four horsemen then granny becomes a badass heaven spawn that killed a lot of demons and spawn shows up after being killed by judas and eating the fruit of power which turned him into a god with the help of the creator of the universe which is the parent of god and the devil but was also a different character introduced much earlier and looked completely different are you getting an idea of how twisty twisty it gets? Don't get me wrong each individual puzzle piece is awesome but when you try and put it all together well umm ok spawn had a dream where all heroes and villains from marvel and Dc and even superman give spawn his powers and spawn gets the family he always wanted and it never comes up again 😮 The brass balls they hurt my face I didn't even get into the after the ending the series just kinda keeps on trucking and adding shit like I know we went through death hell and the apocalypse but spawn forgot to mention that he had a brother that's a priest and a mother who is a satanist and it only comes up for two issues 😮The brass my god my god oh my god now spawn is a vampire/hellspawn for one issue that repeats on loop I am not making any of this up and I'm not even mentioning the 2 times he met batman or the time he met savage dragon in hell

    Even though Lars is a Mishima it doesn't eliminate a possibility of him being a direct descendant of Seigfried. They share strong similarities when it came to personality and appearance(especially possessing facial scars). It would definitely be very cool to see a possible transformation for both of them since Seigfried possesses some mysterious demonic power that is link to Inferno which can possibly be passed down to his descendents, and for Lars which Mishimas never explained their full extent of their powers can possibly be linked to some other supernatural beings or demons.

    There is a hack of SCII's GameCube version in the works that mods the game to import Heihachi's and Spawn's movesets. At the time of writing this comment, it hasn't imported the two characters' models yet (apparently importing models is hard), so they're using Mitsurugi and Necrid's 2P costumes as bases for the imported movesets and voice lines. The mod's called SCII Plus, and it also incorporates other features like a playable Inferno.

    Namco needs to return the favor and put a Soul Calibur character in Smash. Once they've ported SCII HD to the Switch, of course. We need a complete version of SCII! It was a fun gimmick back then, but console-exclusive guests are massive double-edged sword, if you'll pardon the pun.

    • @GreenChillZone
      @GreenChillZone Před 5 lety

      @@Stumblebee I'm thinking Nightmare for iconicity and offering something a little different from the other sword users (namely, having a sword bigger than some of the cast members). Maybe they'd be able to add Siegfried as his echo if he returned after that. In terms of whose moves would translate the best to Smash I think Yoshimitsu is the best candidate to represent SC or Tekken (and maybe have costumes from both series), but since he's not the main character that would diminish his chances.

    Not including the part where you play with fire on the Smash series, I eagerly await your coverage of the Jedi and Sith in Soulcalibur IV. Something I always wanted personally and still enjoy the hell out of. I'll even defend the justifications of why lightsabers don't cut weapons in the series like they do damn near everything in the movies, mainly from lore in RPG's like Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 and shooters like Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.
    For reference (and pardon the Star Wars nerdiness here, but you might need it for your Jedi/Sith guests video as you got some from Spawn in this video): Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Outcast cover that some metals are lightsaber resistant, particularly "Cortosis" as in the former, Revan and the Exile (Meetra Suurik in some sources) wield "Cortosis" blades before they get lightsabers, where in Outcast, some Imperial troops wear lightsaber resistant armor. In Jedi Academy, an artifact when fully powered and wielded by a Sith apprentice possessed by a fallen Sith warlord, is also resistant to lightsabers (which is shown in the light side ending), but when it isn't, it CAN be destroyed by a saber.
