    The fact that Soto walks more than he strikes out every season is the big difference between him and Judge. Both are Rolls Royce's of baseball players.

    • @thebrightsidepodcast301

      Judge can’t take pitches. The umps call him worse than any other player.

    • @TheRexrapper
      @TheRexrapper Před 26 dny

      I wouldn't even argue that because Judge still gets on base at an elite clip. Damn near .400 on base percentage for his career. Even with the strikeouts, Judge is still getting on base a ton.

  • @bigpictureguys8415
    @bigpictureguys8415 Před měsícem +4

    Judge’s prime is better than Soto’s prime obviously but overall career wise Soto is better because Soto was elite immediately at 19.

  • @renegadeoffunk32
    @renegadeoffunk32 Před měsícem +4

    Yes Soto is better. But we're lucky to have both of them in their prime. Long may it continue 😊

  • @bigpictureguys8415
    @bigpictureguys8415 Před měsícem +2

    2:19 WRONG.
    It’s not that Soto was “born later”. It’s that Soto was better earlier, hence why he made the league @19.

  • @danielcenteno-ww8ft
    @danielcenteno-ww8ft Před měsícem +1

    Judge is top 5 best player in the league, he's still in the prime of his career, obviously as he gets older he might decline, but so Soto is definitely a beast no doubt

  • @jpetersgoyanks
    @jpetersgoyanks Před měsícem +1

    9:37 age is totally irrelevant when discussing who’s a better player. A better player isn’t a projection. A better player is either “who is better now” or “who had the better career” and in both cases Aaron Judge is not beat. They are highly equivalent elite players.

    It's a little silly to debate who is better with Soto vs Judge. Sure, it's a fun little debate I guess but in the end they are both generational talents. Judge is 100% going to the HoF unless something insane happens the rest of his career. Soto can make the HoF too if he keeps it up the way he is. Soto is a great overall hitter and is consistently good and is very clutch. He is a below average defender. Judge is just a phenomenal hitter and a phenomenal defender. People look at Judge and think he only hits home runs but that's just not true. He has hit THE MOST home runs in a season ever (without steroids) and he also has a high average. He is not just a home run hitter. Not to mention he's a terrific defender. Soto and Judge are different players but both very, very good.

  • @Jukeboxster
    @Jukeboxster Před měsícem

    Soto was getting MVP votes at age 20, and was an all-star by age 22. There's no telling how good Soto is going to be when he's Judge's age. I think he *will* be better than Judge when it's all said and done.

    Obviously, Judge is a better All-round Player as long as he's capable to play the field. We already know Judge's Peak offensively. We don't know Soto's Peak yet. I don't think Soto can hit more than 40 Hrs because he walks too much and hits more for average. The big difference is that in a game winning situation, I'd rather have Soto at bat than Judge.

    • @TheRexrapper
      @TheRexrapper Před 26 dny

      What does hitting for more average have to do with home runs? If you are hitting for average and have power, you can still hit a lot of home runs. Soto is on pace to hit 44. Let's see if he can maintain it. The big difference to me is Judge is a more dangerous hitter. He hits for average and has prodigious power.

  • @iviggz53

    Eyeball test. I like you gentleman. I really do. But to have the ignorance to even compare these two players as if judge is some kind of conversation to be had when talking about Soto because of numbers and stats?
    Let’s talk about their careers juice heads. Juan Soto took a team that lost Bryce Harper and NO ONE saw coming to the World Series and got himself a ring. Judge has never taken us to the World Series.
    You saw our god awful team last year; When you needed judge most he chokes.
    We have all witnessed Juan Soto change our entire culture. Last year you would have thought we had some kind of curse. Whatever that was has been erased because he shows up and he has grown man work ethic unlike showboat judge who strikes out a billion times a year.
    Soto has single handedly set the tone for the rest of the guys in the clubhouse. This is what a true leader does. They lead by example. No one can learn from judges long body 6’8 frame because you can’t teach how to hit 500 ft. It just makes guys feel like they’ll never be as good.
    Juan Soto is a generational talent. That will forever be a stepping stone for kids to learn from. You don’t have to be 6’8 hitting 500 to be a phenomenal ball player. In fact your work ethic can out perform them all year long.
    As he shows time and time again at the plate. If I’m a manager. I’m walking Soto to get to judge. Less likely to do damage when you need him the most.
    Let’s not even get into plate awareness. If we had more children being taught about plate awareness at the level of Soto. We just might see Major League Baseball actually look like the Major Leagues again. Can’t believe this sport has turned into what it has
