If you close your eyes you can pretend is Alexisonfire that's playing. I always loved how WATO was so similar to AOF, but keeping their own style at the same time. Dan and Liam made a perfect match singing like George and Dallas did before.

I agree I think he did have a lot of influence but a lot of their notoriety in the beginning was over their guitarist who was like 15 when this was made way back when. I wasn't a fan of the screaming in WATO when his voice changed. Hawthorne Heights had the same thing when their screamer died... Never the same
+Daniel Simpson wtf are you on about? early wato were trying too hard to be post hardcore, yeah they lost their dedicatred screamo vox but thats no loss when it comes to defining an identity. liam can do both clean and scream, Id never say ive been a massive fan of the band from dayt 1, but Ive watched them progress over the last 6 years, and apart from liams locks, they are 10x a band they were and musically, so easily recognisable. latest album is probably too grown up for the tweenymoshers... and @ricky morley, it hasnt really "evolved" without dan, the songwriting and performance style are still very similar to before before dan left, but the band has grown up, and that maturity has been reflected. theres been no squandering here, just honest rockhearts following there guardian star/angel...
