Not only I enjoyed looking at my antique French linens, I used them daily. I feel them in my hands and in my skin. But most of all I enjoyed hand washing them one by one - feel their fabrics in my hand. As soon as they are hang dry, I ironed them one linen at the time. It is the most enjoyable moment of my linen weekend day. My mother insisted that I used them and never just store and look at them.

2 minutes into this video, I felt butterflies and knew I'd love what I was about to see. These are the most exquisite vintage linens, and the stories behind them were enthralling. The story of how your aunt so lovingly gifted the embroidered sheet for your wedding gift was just the topping on the cake. Thank you for a lovely modern day "tea party!"

Watching this video has been inspiring; I'm going to turn one of my antique cupboards into a linen closet! Can't wait!

Lovely linens should be used, the older ones develop a patina and hold special memories of those times you have entertained. And, what a nice complement to your guests that they are special! Most of all you, the owner, are special and should enjoy them. I actually think the linens appreciate being enjoyed!

It’s a bit sad to think the reason why many of these pieces are in such perfect condition is because the first owners valued them so highly they locked them away, too afraid to enjoy them. Time is short, cherish them but also enjoy the utility of these pieces. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I get it. She had more than one armoire with linen and silver in it.

Thank you. I believe all families have stories and I hope they get passed down.

A sad one but true. I can only imagine what disappeared and how devastated she must have been.

I use a lot of my vintage linens. The ones I just put in the back of the cupboard are the white embroidered linen hand towels. I can't bear to see them stained.

Oh please use them. They were made to be used. Life happens and some may get stains that you can not remove. You are just adding the characters of life to an object. Enjoy them.

i get it, i really do. when my house flooded during hurricane Harvey 2017 my linens were in a 1920s era lane cedar chest. even though submerged, the linens inside were found to be dry. truly was air-tight.

Your kidding. That is sad news about the hurricane but wonderful news about the cedar chest! What a testimonial!

I have too many French vintage antique sheets to count lol. Also Irish ones. And antique linen and hemp towels and dresses. I particularly love either the really fine linen or the handloomed ones. These types of weaved are practically no longer found in modern linen. So beautiful and I’m so addicted lol. Your collection sounds wonderful!
