Take a short length of mono and tie to your mainline as if tying a stopknot. Add some swan shot or bomb to one of the tag ends and trim the other tag end. Tie a hook to your mainline and you are ready to go. You are now fishing with your Mainline straight through to your hook with just one knot. Also the stopknot with your weight on will slide up or down to you preferred length. Useful if you you are fishing crust. Why complicate things?

Really. That’s the most complicated chub rig I’ve ever seen. Fixed paternoster with a few SSG or running rig if using a heavy lead.
