The beginning of a 3 day adventure at Horseshoe Bend and the kickoff to our 1 month sabbatical vacation
Today we visit the Horseshoe Bend overlook, a Vermillion Cliffs viewpoint, the Navajo Bridge, Cliff Dwellers, and Lee's Ferry Campground.

Day 1 of Sabbatical: Our trip was delayed a day due to heavy wind advisories. It was okay though because our backhaul captain was able to schedule us early the next morning. Fortunately we had flexibility in our schedule. Because we were scheduled to meet at Lee's Ferry Dock at 8:00 am we decided to drive up a day early and enjoy Horseshoe Bend from the iconic viewpoint. We also enjoyed the viewpoint of the Vermillion Cliffs, visited Navajo Bridge, checked out the Stone Houses at Cliff Dwellers, and played at Colorado Beach across from our campground. We camped at Lee's Ferry Campground so we would be close to the dock in the morning.
