    Last week I finally got around to changing my phone with the Galaxy S10 I had bought long ago but never used. I was amazed by how quickly the battery drained while not even being used. I then found you followed your great instructions for us non tech people and my battery seems to last forever. It only drops 2% to 4% overnight when it used to drop by 35% to 50% over the similar time period. Now I no longer need to carry a back up charger. Thank you

    I think you just saved my S9+ and my S10 (regular one) from stayng so much time in the drawer. Currently using my battery champs (iPhone 11 Pro, Huawei P20 Pro and Galaxy S10+) and suffering so much for my iPhone SE 2020 (this one has no salvation, but I
    Will never forgive Apple for not boosting the battery in my favorite format ever - I LOVE bezels that let you hold the phone with fingers up front, instead of on the sides). And now I may give a chance to my old Samsung favorites: S9+ for photography) better than ALL subsequent versions, you should re-test it, S10 "normal" for smaller form factor, and now a surprise: S7 Edge for... yes, format, weight and photography.
    THANK YOU!

    I had some battery issues on my S21 Ultra 512 snapdragon model, but I fixed them. Currently my percentage is at 74%, with an onscreen time of 2 hours, and last full charge was 23hr 18min, without a full charge or some charge. I have the phone on FHD, 60hz, 4GLTE. I have WiFi scanning off, Play protect scanning off in the google play store, location off (as well as wifi and Bluetooth scan for accuracy). I do have the adaptive battery on. That is the only option that I use, I do not use the power saving feature. I have force dark mode option on in developer settings. I have noticed because I have T-mobile as well that 5G even though it is better, will use more power from your device, especially if you don't have good signal, I was a communications guy in the military and it will run your battery down quicker than 4GLTE. If you wanna test the quality of your 5G and see how effective it is I just turned mine on right now, go to about phone, status info, and select Sim card status, my signal strength on 5G is -111 dBm which is pretty crappy signal, even though everything is running smooth. I switched to 4GLTE and checked my signal is -87 which is better and less battery drain than 5G. You will in reality want a level between high -70s and mid -80s, but the rule is the closer the number is to 0 the better your signal will be, but in reality I have seen my phone, not just this one but the lowest I ever seen was probably -70. The last thing I forgot to say is I go to my apps, and select the app, then select Mobile data, if you do not want that app running in the background select "Allow background data usage" off and "allow data usage while data saver is on" off. I've done this for the majority of my apps, only left my CZcams, amazon Music, messaging, and probably like 5 more apps turned on for this. Hope this helps lemme know if you have any questions. Almost forgot Sync is off. Also last thing the quality and building materials that the building you are in plays a huge role, if it has to use more battery because it is struggling to get a signal and is always scanning, then it will drain your battery more. I would turn on your wifi and wifi calling and disable your data, you will still receive text messages with this option off. Hope this helps!

    Hey Saki, love the channel. Just upgraded from S9+ to Note20Ultra. Still figuring it out and using your tips.
    What about putting all these power saving modes into one Bixby routine that one could turn on and off when one needs extreme power saving???
    Is that possible with Bixby routines one "writes" oneself like youve shown recently?

    • @peterc504
      @peterc504 Před 3 lety

      I think this is possible. I want to learn how to do it as well. When Im at work Im not using my phone at all but only for listening to music via Bluetooth. I wonder if putting a bixby routine to go into a power saving mode would help battery life immensely? Why have the CPU running at 100% when your only using the phone to listen to music? A good example is my PC. When I'm not gaming or doing anything intense where CPU & GPU are being pushed the PC down-clocks itself and uses 70% less power bc it doesn't need it!! Thats super efficient & saves you money in the long run bc you dont need the power anyways!

    Need Help with the SLEEP settings:
    I have certain apps that I know never give me or rarely give me notifications - These apps I want to put to deep sleep.
    There are other apps that I use more frequently that do give me notifications, such as text, IG, snapchat, email, etc.
    I want to preserve battery on these apps, but I still want to get notifications.
    Do I put them to sleep?
    I noticed that even though some apps were not in the 'put to sleep' section, I would still not get notifications (such as emails) unless my phone was turned back on from the locked mode.
    I don't want this to happen.

      AOD always kills battery, especially overnight.
      If you don't look at it often best to turn it off

    🤔I don't think that you should make or use your 1500$ Premium Smartphone like a 20$ Basic cell phone by disabling most of its features/options to save battery,You need to have a battery case or a powerbank but If you pay 1500$ for a premium phone you want to enjoy it's maximum performance and every feature it has.

    Location allowance is important for using apps like fb etch. Apps working in the background of u disable them, some money making apps do not run. Edge lighting turning it off??? Seriously??? Is like buying these fancy new vehicles with led lights in the interior, but you wanna tern them off....to save ur vehicle battery ....really??? Just buy a 200£ phone instead for social media usage only

    What brightness would you recommend for dark mode?

    • @bfdia51
      @bfdia51 Před 3 lety +1

      It really doesn't matter with an oled display. When the screen is black on oled the pixels are off so they do not use any battery to show black. So if you have a black picture it will be like your screen is off bc it is. So brightness won't do anything

      When I charge my phone it will notify me what time or how many hours it will take to fully charge it so what I did is I go to clock app and sched for an alarm. You can do the same. Just a suggestion.
