    Awesome, thanks so much. This is one area I really need to learn. So any videos you can put towards editing would be great! Best, Scott

    Thanks for this video and the LUT pack, I was wondering when someone would come up with one, just downloaded so have no clue how they work, but judging from this video they seem pretty darn good. BTW I'm glad you finally got serious, the slapstick stuff on these Vlogs is .............nuf said

    I take it the h.265 hdr10 video options are new(er) on the Evo 2 pro. I was expecting 10 bit log as the only HDR compatible option from the evo 2 pro, though discovered it records 10 bit hdr10 footage in other factory color profiles. They eliminate the ability for manual exposure, but for something I didn't intend to have, it's a nice surprise.
    HEVC 10 bit log footage is still available with full exposure control. Just have to make sure the "HDR" button is off.
    Using DaVinci Resolve, I've gone grey attempting to render an HDR deliverable recognized as such by CZcams.
    I've finally gotten it so all my other devices recognize it as HDR, just not the tube of you's.

    In the market for a new drone and was thinking DJI but after hearing about your customer support and watching some of your videos I may have changed my mind. It's great to see a company equipping their customers with all the tools to produce such great shots. Keep it up!

      @Agent К_видео I just got an EVO, my first drone, maybe I get excited easily but it is very intuitive to fly, I took it out in very windy Chicago weather and it stayed remarkably still through gusts of wind, also did the orbit flight mode, the video it takes is very sharp

    Are your LUTs appropriate for the EVO II PRO or will you be creating new LUTs for the new drones?

    Davinci Resolve recommends you select the input color space for a clip. As of Feb 2022 they don't list color spaces for the Autel drones. I have the LUT for the Evo 2 Pro installed but can you tell us what the input color space would be? Thanks

      Guys, get yourself DaVinci Resolve and start watching some tutorials on it. The is a free version that only has a few limitations over the paid version. It is widely regarded as THE colour correction/grading NLE. Fairly insane just how powerful it is for a free product.

    • @HunterWadeMusic
      @HunterWadeMusic Před 3 lety

      Color director accepts cube Luts. Just a warning that their claims of 10 bit HDR support are grossly overstated. When working in the timeline it concerts everything to 8 bit rec709 and allowed you to render that 8 bit grade in a 10 bit HEVC (h.265) container.

    Will 10 bit be added to 4k 60 fps or 5.4k 30 fps in autel evo ii pro v2? So far this drone only record 10 bit in 4k30 fps

    How can I edit out the propellers? Since the controls are so jerky at times, just a slight touch forward tilt and you see the propellers in the frame. I know you can lower the tilt and this will help but I would like to leave the gimbal level or maybe even UPWARD?. Thank you.

    • @AutelRobotics
      @AutelRobotics  Před 5 lety +1

      Editing out props can be difficult without launching in a few percent. We recommend setting your shutter speed correctly so the camera doesn't record them. If you're recording at 30fps try 1/60 or 60fps try 1/120. You will also most likely need to tou an ND filter to control light instead shooting at faster speeds. But that should help a lot!

    • @mixchifius
      @mixchifius Před 5 lety

      I know it minot be totally in agreement with your composition, but you might want to tilt down a bit more when you plan to film in Ludicrous mode, funny I never get props when I'm filming because I keep the speed fairly slow

    • @gsampl4es
      @gsampl4es Před 5 lety +1

      Always tilt down 10 degrees after takeoff and you will never see the props. Only time I run at 0 degrees tilt is if I am taking photos.

  • @dominic-ryan
    @dominic-ryan Před 5 lety

    Guys, I've just got an Autel Evo after it was stated at @2:47 that it can do H.265 10-bit recording using the LOG profile. This 10-bit H.265 recording capability was also listed in this previous video czcams.com/video/DFqQQKuqSrE/video.html. I have updated to the latest firmware and cannot find a 10-bit option anywhere. I have taken numerous video samples cycling through each of the different video settings while using LOG and when I examine the file headers they are all reporting an 8-bit bit depth. What settings need to be configured to enable this 10-bit recording?

    • @HunterWadeMusic
      @HunterWadeMusic Před 3 lety

      Did you find it? It's in the camera menu. Select h.265 or h.264.
      Bottom of app, arrow up to open the camera settings menu. All the way on the right hand side there's a little icon of a camera.
      Push that button and POW more settings including h.265 format.

      @@HunterWadeMusic wow, blast from the past 🙂. I unfortunately do not have my Evo 1 anymore. Great drone, but the changing regulations with heavy fines attached had me chicken out in favour of getting a DJI Mini II to get under the 250g classification.
      No idea what Autel have in their firmware now, but at the time the h.265 log recordings were being reported as 8-bit rather than 10-bit. 8-bit encoding suffers considerably when trying to recover shadow detail due to quantisation, which is why the 10-bit claim here had me super excited at the time. These days I just try an keep dynamic range to a minimum in my composition and ETTR to give myself maximum latitude for grading in post.

  • @RichardGilmoreDronetech

    Did. I HEAR THAT CORRECTLY??? At 2.50. He says RECORDING.. IN H.265 10BIT recording? 10 bit. Is that correct???

    • @dominic-ryan
      @dominic-ryan Před 5 lety +1

      Yep, log profile in H.265 10-bit. I gather the chroma subsampling is 4:2:0, the same as the Mavic 2? What would be REALLY great is if Autel could make some actual Evo log footage recorded in H.265 10 bit available for download so we can dive in an see how well the codec stands up to grading.

    • @DennisSchmitz
      @DennisSchmitz Před 5 lety

      Wait what?? 4k60p 10 bit log for $999?

    • @dominic-ryan
      @dominic-ryan Před 5 lety +1

      @@DennisSchmitz unfortunately no. It seems the Autel creative team took the fact the Ambarella H2 image processor in the Evo is capable of 10-bit as meaning it record video in 10-bit. It doesn't.
      I have found three references to Evo 10-bit recording from videos on the Autel YT channel. I'm not disappointed with my Evo, but the 10-bit capability was a major factor in my purchasing decision. I really wish the creative team would address this directly in a video as it doesn't do the brand any favours having these false claims up on their official YT channel.

    This type of info is very welcome. I have yet to shoot in log, but will try it soon because of this. I downloaded the Lut pack and just so you know, it will install on Pinnacle Studio 22 Ultimate. I also tried the Lut's and they do work so you can recommend it for that NLE too. Keep up the great work.

    Got my Evo two days ago. Used this LUT pack (file number 2) to grade footage from my first flight today. Looks amazing, super cinematic! czcams.com/video/TOaGpXik5WE/video.html I do wish there was some kind of way to know if the props are in or will be in the shot though (like perhaps knowing what kind of angle the gimbal should be below to avoid props in the shot), it can be hard to see on the phone or OLED. I gotta train myself to see that stuff. All that said, so excited to work on a real project with this puppy!

      But it doesn't really support hdr. It converts everything in the timeline to 8-bit Rex 709 and then allows you to store that information in a 10 bit container but it only uses the 8-Bit space in h.265.
