- Offensive highlights of the best P4P boxer of all time!
Sugar Ray Robinson - Was an American professional boxer. Frequently cited as the greatest boxer of all time, Robinson's performances in the welterweight and middleweight divisions prompted sportswriters to create "pound for pound" rankings, where they compared fighters regardless of weight. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.

Highlights Knockouts Tribute
------------------------------------------------
haNZAgod - Sport
The idea that there's probably an entire other half of Robinson's career that's unfilmed, in his physical prime, makes me and I'm sure any other fan salivate just thinking about it
and it was when he was welterwieght his natural wieght division where he beasted everyone in it and was in his prime of age
we were born in a wrong generation even the music was way better back then
Noah R. de Luzuriaga I can't even imagine what a prime welterweight Robinson looked like. I mean he was so staggeringly good as a middle weight itself. Truly the most well engineered fighter ever! What a miss not to be born in that era!
The way he threw his combinations, his timing, speed, reflexes, rhythm. Man as a middleweight the way he threw combinations and then manoeuvred away from counter punches I don’t know how he did it honestly....
Unbeat as a welterweight, only lost to Lamotta who was a middleweight when fighting Ray who was welter.
@@sayyid5869 yeah he was 146 and lamotta was 155.
The man had 174 wins 109 ko's 19 losses and 6 draws. In his early days he went 129-1... Who the hell gonna break that record. He was on another level. An the man has never been knocked out. He is the greatest. Sweet as sugar 🐐
Charlie Zenoloff claim his 500-0. 🤣🤣🤣
I think it was 132-1
number wise Pep had a better peak resume at 134-1-1 and Jimmy Wilde at 103-0-1. but Robinson's peak record is considered the greatest peak record in boxing not only because of it's impressive win and loss ratio but more about the competition that it is made of. imagine having a record of 11-1 against Hall of Famers Sammy Anggott, Fritzie Zivic, Marty Servo, Jake LaMotta, Henry Armstrong, Bernard Docusen, Georgie Abrams, Kid Gavilan, and Bobo Olson.
@@ralphdupas6179 Pep barely knocked out people so his resume compared to ray is nothing. By 1951 Ray Robinson record was 128-1-1 with 84 knockouts. All Pep did was danced all the way to 15 rounds. Pep even loss to Ray Robinson when they fought early on.
@@xGhostRidah I don't take anything away from Pep because he's not knocking people out and according to you is just dancing to a decision win. that's very disrespectful not only to Pep but to boxing itself. boxing is about to hit but not get hit. it's not about knocking your opponents out. knock outs are just extra rewards.
But like I said I agree that Sugar Ray Robinson peak record is far more impressive than both Pep and Wilde. But number wise it's Pep and Wilde.
That left hook SHEESH!!!!!
the left hook of sugar is the best i saw in all boxe story, and the 3 times left hook in sequence, is incredible fr that age of boxe, even today would be difficult to contrast.
I cant imagine what Robinson would have been like in his prime!!!
Donald Duck literally
@samuel s Ray Robinson is his own fighter
@@pasifikbwoy7278 He was his own fighter, but guys like Roy Jones are a product of Sugar Ray Robinson so you can see Sugar Ray in Roy.
He was so smooth and so fast it was so hard to land a punch on him in his prime. That's why we all hear/read this story that he was so slick. He could even throw triple right hooks in his prime.
i’ve been here before?
Most don't realize that his only loss in his first 100+ fights was when he fought the full fledged Middleweight Lamotta and Ray came into the fight under 145. With mob influence, racism, and other factors to include very frequent fights, that feat is only overshadowed by his unseen combination of boxing ability, speed, and one punch power in each hand. GOAT
MJ Johnson robinson never had any connection with the mafia. The mafia never botherd him. Frankie Carbo tried to make a deal with robinson but ray declined and that was it
@@PistolKev but lamotta had...
@@michadebicki6534 no actually. He never threw fights.
@@michadebicki6534 Robinson said “I don’t do business like that” after Frankie Carbo told him to take a dive and cut the phone Frankie carbo didn’t do anything to ray.
SRR was just the greatest fighter who ever lived. You're talking about a man who had 201 fights with 19 losses. 15 of those loses came AFTER THE AGE OF 36. 98 straight wins BEFORE his first loss!
LEGEND! PERIOD!
Plus most of the guys that SRR lost too he had a rematch with and he beat them
@@Exploretheearthh he also never got knocked out ever
@@neverastraightanswer9802 I tell people that all the time and also Robinson was an avoided fighter in his prime that people didn’t want to fight because they knew they would lose that’s why he was running out of competition in welterweight so he moved up to middleweight
I mean he could do things that most fighters can’t do like throw triple left hooks in a fast short time…and to think we barely have any footage of Robinson in his prime seems somewhat shady to me.
@@Exploretheearthh it’s sad honestly
He did things in training that only a fraction of the boxers today can do!!!!💯💯

1:17 That’s beautiful Bolo punch
the greatest of all time, no doubt
Damiano Zerneri Joe Louis was more technical IMHO
They both were pretty technical. Joe Had better balance and was likely just as fast. Some would think that Sugar Ray Robinson didn't have a smorgasbord of techniques compared to Louis ( at least not to the untrained eye). But no doubt going by pvp and his resume, he was the greatest.
No doubt
Damiano Zerneri the goat 💪
Muhammad Ali was a dancer?
he is the best boxer ever live I love him I wish he was alive I wana see him
Love the way he looks at his opponent for a moment after he knocks them down.
perfect fighter
Fuck this guy could fight! speed, footwork, combinations, boxer, puncher, both hands KO power, heart, will to win, chin, stamina, great defence. SRR had it all!
He was truly the best!!

Sugar Ray Robinson is one of my favorite boxers of all time. His style was unique. He was a warrior and fought other great fighters like Lamotta, Basilio, Turpin, Kid Gavilan, and others. He was an excellent boxer and to some people, he is considered the best to ever in boxing.
Great video!
Sadly, when people are talking about Sugar Ray, they are only talking about his rivalries against LaMotta, Basilio, Fullmer and Gavilan. They only tell a fraction of his greatness. Even among the experts, they tend to forget to tell about his victories over Sammy Anggott, Marty Servo, Fritzie Zivic, Tommy Bell, Izzy Jannazo, Robert Villemain, Charley Fusari, George'Sugar'Costner, Jose Basora, Bernard Docusen, Cyrille Delanoitte, Bobo Olson, California Jackie Wilson and Maxie Berger. Most fans, especially the casual and modern day fans, has these impression that he's good but not that great compared to the modern greats like Pacquiao and Mayweather because even experts failed to teach them who are these guys and how great they are. How can we expect fans will understand how great Sugar Ray Robinson is if they have no idea who the hell California Jackie Wilson is?

@@ralphdupas6179 I laugh when someone opens up their mouth saying Floyd is the greatest, he’s a great fighter definitely one of the greatest but no where near a level like Roy Jones JR. and his defense hasn’t surpassed Pernell Whitaker’s (the man who trained him how too be a defensive wizard) and obviously not close too SRR level. Yes he’s mastered the art of defensive fighting and looks amazing doing that but the shit gets boring and I know he can’t use his hands as much unfortunately because they are damaged but damn if he could he’d be giving his opponents 10X worse damage then they already received.
There's a reason why Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Roy Jones were as great as they were. It's because of this man, Sugar Ray Robinson.
Sugar Ray was the example of the perfect fighter. Had every skill. 129 and 1 in first 130??? Simply da best ever, in any weight or era
Mr Robinson LOVE the song! My favorite boxer!!! RIP RAY🌪
Can't get enough of those left hooks
Has there ever been another fighter that has knocked out so many opponents with their left hand! doubt it somehow, no wonder he's recognised as the best and forged the way for Ali and Ray Leonard .

By every and any meteric, Sugar Ray is always the best of the best...no boxing fan has ever designed a creditable rating system to rate boxers for their greatness in which Ray doesn't win. Check around and see if you can find any that I may have missed, it's a challenge.
greatest video ever and I like the music Sugar Ray robinson is the goat no debate than Ali
Chanel Wiggins that's right beautiful you know what's up
Chanel Wiggins Ali will tell you the same thing he said he was the greatest fighter he ever seen.
I would put Sam Langford second after Ray Robinson, then Ali as third.
A fraction of his fights is all we get
Well made... better music feel than most.
SpiderRico says I watch this over & over & over everyday
02:07 remains one of the craziest things I've seen done in a fight.
That was so smooth
no no no thats not human anymore
G.O.A.T INSPIRIATION 🥊🐐
ranked ahead of Tyson in P4P punching power
He was and still is the best fighter
Best welterweight and middleweight absolutely
@@harryroberts2403 he was the best welterweight ever top 3 best middleweight ever he stayed too long 13 of his 17 losses came after he was 36 he disliked fighting only did it for the money
SRR was the REAL greatest. He was harder to hit than the number, had blinding speed and could hit harder then a mule kicks. The ultimate 222 fighter

Sugar ray robinson el mejor boxeador del mundo 🐐🥊🥊
There's a highlight of sugar to the song "slipping into darkness" - can't remember the link for the life of me...
The flow with the punches some of them might not be the most clean and sharpest but pure destruction goat 🐐
Sugar sugar 💪
Uber Sweet left-hook
Goodness sake those left hooks are scary!
The music is "Never knew korentine"
What's the track behind this , sugar Ray , what beautiful brutality it was
Ali:A heavyweight with the footwork of a lightweight
Sugar ray:A lightweight with the fists of a heavyweight
That left hand was a DEMON
Nobody does it better.
The beat smacks. Anyone know what the title of the song is?
Smh... He was straight whooping guys asses back then!! Damn! 😧
Raio de açucar,literalmente um raio
Man now that is a fighter. And he didn't have all this modern stuff like today. He fought 3 times a month sometimes. Nofighter boxing should ever say retired or not they are better than srr. You say50 and 0 right. Do the history and Robinson broke all records I'm just saying. Sugar Ray Robinson. G. O A. T.
Look at the faces of the fighters in the bar room scene on requiem for a heavy weight
how fast was he even
natures most perfect fighter.
what beat/song in background? SRR The GOAT - ask Ali ~
And ask Joe Lewis.
The song is sun by crookram if you still care to know
Left Hooks, WoW!!!!!
!!!😊
I’m sorry but there is no welterweight past and present that beats SRR in his prime. Past his prime he’ll beat most natural hall of fame middleweights aswell. He would give Hagler, Leonard and Hopkins a run for their money! The guy was an animal look at the combinations at 50 second mark and the fully body punch at 40 second mark... very ferocious!! I think not only Ali learned things from SRR but probably Mike Tyson!
He would have beaten Hagler, Hopkins, and Leonard. But Leonard would have given him the toughest fight.
I don t think so. Hagler would be the hardest of that list
один из Величайших
I remember during my earlier days as a boxing fan and people said that Muhammad Ali's idol is SRR so I search for some highlights for this dude, and you know what ??
"This guy looks nothing like Ali !!"
@haNZAgod can u make a Diego Corrales video?

Whats the song in the background
Awesome soundtrack mind telling me what it is?
+Decon Sturm Funky Notes - Never Knew
+haNZAgod Ey can you please make a highlights vid on Eder Jofre?
Imagine prime SRR vs prime Duran. Daaaaamn
I'll go with Sugar Ray. Duran was great but style wise he's no match for Sugar Ray. Duran tends to fight in straight line when fighting a tall, long boxer-puncher. That would be a perfect style for a great counter-puncher like Sugar Ray.
I'll go with SRR too. Duran was at his best as a lightweight and I don't see anyone moving up in weight and beating SRR. If we're talking P4P then it would be one hell of a fight.
Floyd maybe TBE, but Sugar Ray Robinson is the real best ever. Period
SUGAR RAY...SWEET FIGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)) :))
At 1:07 when he's punching going backwards 🔥🔥
Robinson è la perfezione come Nadia Comanenci 10 PERFETTO .
song name?
floyd is tbe come on Men what is this a joke sugar ray robinson is the greatest of all time for ever
+HussainHitman Hmm that's an interesting comment. Just out of curiosity, other than Manny Pacquiao who else out of Floyd's opponents would you rate better than the likes of Jake LaMotta, Henry Armstrong and Kid Gavilan?
+HussainHitman srr is complete is hand speed power punching footwork presicion chin and amazing agressive and technique and great defense floyd is god fighter but srr knockout floyd easily
+HussainHitman In terms of quality opposition Robinson had better while in terms of quantity Floyd's record is made up of nearly 50% of world champions. Both men are undeniably great but I still say Robinson is the best ever because Robinson was more versatile with his fighting ability, he had everything and could do everything as a fighter, while Floyd is a pure boxer type that had problems with guys who jump right in and rough him up, IE... Castilo and Maidana in their first fights.
***** Gavilan and Robinson did fight, Robinson won. The opponents you named I just simply cannot understand how anyone could think they were better than LaMotta, Gavilan and Armstrong. If you think Floyd is greater than Robinson that's absolutely fine but Robinson fought better opponents, that's just a fact.
***** But so did Robinson.
Anybody that thinks there's another human being that was a better fighter than SRR needs to seek a counselor
His left hand look like it almost took off a few heads
if u fight him u crazy u wanna die
سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم
