  • I picked up this WeedEater Featherlite XT260 (952711795) string trimmer for $10 to fix and flip. Let’s see if I can get it running again.
    carb removal, carb cleaning, fuel line replacement, new fuel lines, new fuel filter, line spool, replace head line, respool head, carb adjustment, testing

    That was my first 2 stroke weed-eater I bought from Kmart back in late summer of 2012, loved it, but it had carb problems, only had it for 3 yrs, was hoping for it to last another 8 or 9 yrs. Until it stopped working, wish I still had it and could’ve fixed it. It was a powerful featherlight weed eater for the budget.

      Definitely an underrated trimmer for sure. I was surprised with it during the 2 weeks I was testing it before cutting it loose

    New one is 100 bucks, junk ones 5 bucks if it’s all there and looks good

    better if it's liquid wrench since carb cleaner would be worse than straight fuel in removing residual lube.

      never thought to use liquid wrench, thanks. I really just need to find a good squirt-type bottle to have 2cycle mix in for testing
