I have a Fiat Panda with the same engine it was clogged almost solid with soot. Excessive EGR flow and gentle driving are the culprit. By the way. Cam chains last 100,000 miles and will be broken by 120,000. They almost never rattle. It’s a service item.

Got a 1.3cdti 2007 reg. Having issues with misfiring. Replaced the wiring looms to the injectors. The engine fan is constantly running even with a cold engine. Wondering if anyone could help me out? Cheers
Blocked EGR, DPF & dirty MAF on my 1.7 CdTi are comman after 50k, needs constant cleaning for a damn good run to clean the carbon. Also, not a good sign..”never cleaned the filter” i wonder what else has not been done. Bad EGR & DPF can contaminate oil, adding poor reliability. Also Diesels hate slow runs, they just carbon up, hence need regular servicing!!!!
Mine is doing the exact same will start first thing then if I go 2 minutes down the road won't start again but after that it will be fine the rest of the day changed the diesel filter still doing it annoying the life out me
Hello my friend this car still does this on occasion, best to connect a cheap scan tool and see if u can still access live data when it's a no start cheers sandy
@@sandyande it's so annoying too cause starts for turn off the key in the morning if I turn it off 2 seconds later won't start again but if I start it first thing and run it for a good 8-10 miles journey it's fine
@@sandyande went into the garage was starting fine cause it had been ran so he said to leave it overnight with him and he will check it tomorrow but it never flags up a engine managment light so going to be hard to diagnose I think 😥

There is a known issue with the abs unit on this model!

Engine fan is running because it has detected misfire, what are your codes?

Probably doesn't have one because the government says they emit to much hydrocarbons during filter change cheers sandy
