The best thing about these saves are that those goals are huge... It doesn't look that big on the screen, but when you stand in a football goal yourself you feel how huge those goals are.

7:15 don’t know if anyone commented it yet. The reason he saved with his head is because it was his own teammate who, very poorly, tried to pass him the ball, and the goalkeeper isn’t allowed to use his hands if that’s the case. This is to prevent time wasting.

If a player passes it back to their own goalie, then the goalie cant grab it with his hands otherwise it will be a foul aka " 2-touch freekick" on the spot where he grabbed the ball. that is why you see goalkeepers making saves with their heads because their own players did a panic back pass to their goalie. keep up the great videos.
*passes it back with their foot. Team mates can pass to goalie with the head, shoulder, chest, etc with no problem. Foot is the exception

The reflexes of the Goalkeepers are insane
The reason why those 2 goalkeepers used their heads is because they cant use their hands when a team mate passes the ball, so, to avoid a foul dangerously close to the goal, they headed the ball out instead of using their hands. It's very impressive, much more than some shown that are just being lucky but with a good spread.

A goalkeeper is the one who has the most responsability most of the times. If a striker is not doing well, the team stuggles but maybe the wingers can score the goals or others. But if the goalkeeper is not doing right, that goes instantly to the score against you and the confidence of the team falls down. A striker can make mistakes and the game goes on, but if the goalkeeper makes a single mistake, it might as well be game over and the season is done.
Gianluigi Buffon and Iker Casillas are the all time legends in goalkeeper position.

Just a note. There were two saves with a head from a goalkeeper. There is a rule in football, that a goalkeeper can't touch or take the ball with his hands if the pass was made with player's feet. Chest and head are acceptable, meaning you can pass the ball to your goalkeeper with a head and he will be allowed to take it with his hands.
In those clips (7:11 and 14:05), they had to use the head, as those were foot passes from their teammates.

I’m not sure if goalkeeper is the most difficult position, but no doubt is the most specialized.
As a goalie I can say it’s one of the toughest positions in the game. No one can really know the struggle of it unless you are one. You have a major responsibility to be at your best every game. A forward makes a mistake he has 10 other players to fix it. But if a goalie makes one it can cause you the whole game.
One of my favorite goalkeepers is Zydrunas Karcemarskas. Very underrated.

Goalies should always be the best athletes in a football field .. and for that save that the goalie used his head to save the ball there's a rule in football that if a defender passes the ball to his goalie he can't touch it with his hands unless it is a header , a clearance or the defender passes it with his chest or shoulder... If after a normal pass the goalie touches the ball with his hands a foul is given to the other team in the penalty area

I would say yes, there are multiple reason as in the fact you are the last defense. You are the only person in that position, if it rains or snows the ball will change in different direction if hit hard, and how close and if there are redirected ball. I don’t even play the position but I know it is hard it’s crazy lol

Do I think being a goalie is the hardest position? Well ... it kind-of is, because it is the position where almost every mistake you make results in a goal for the opponent. 99% of the time there nobody behind you to clean up your mess. So as a goalie you have to be one that take full responsibility and owns up to it. At the same time, it's the offense that sells the tickets, so goalies are generally under-rated as compared to strikers.
Regarding those saves on the line ... the rule is that the complete circumference of the ball has to cross the line for the ball to be considered in the goal (or out if it is an out line). If any part of the ball is still above the line - even if it is just a fraction of the ball - the ball has still not crossed the line.
The one when he keep the ball with the head because was a shot from his teammate and the goalkeeper can touch with the hands a shot or a pass From a teammate. So that was also more tuf

Yes it is the toughest becuz you have to deal with constant presuare you need to be consentrated Even If the ball is nowhere near you and you need to tell your teamate where the opposition is in lets say corners. But most of all you need high reactions and a good jump. I am a young goalie myself
