Relegation is a good thing in my opinion, because in leagues like MLS or even the NBA, where the worst team is not kicked out of the league, there is not the same desire of winning, because in MLS and NBA you want to win to get higher and to get better prizes, in european football you play to win not only for prizes, but also for your "salvation", and if you are a small team the fact that you play against top teams makes the work even harder, because the difference between the best and worst team is far more evident than in MLS: a game between Juventus and Crotone 9 times out of 10 will end like 3-0, 4-0 or more; in the MLS the best team can play against the worst and usually wins by a small margin or draws, it was just an example, but it can give you the idea of what i'm talking about

I feel like the NBA does it to balance the rosters a bit better for closer games between teams as sports is the best entertainment imo, and with closer competition, it's much more thrilling.
The thing with European (also South American) football, is that it is life for the players, the fans. Relegation exists because if you're bad, you literally get slapped on your face and kicked out. The true essence (at least how it's used to be and still being lived by many fans) of football is pride. In terms of finance, there are teams who don't even want sponsors and just want to develop without the financial aspect.

He won everything in his career (that began in 1995 and he is still playing!) like world cup, 5 times keeper of the year (record), 2nd place in ballon d'or (the only keeper to place that high after Yashin), and he won like 15/20 national trophies and many other individual awards.

Sports leagues in the US tend to be franchises, so, the Franchisor (NFL, NBA, NHL...etc.) would not want to relegate teams and then promote replacement teams from a lower league who are _not_ franchisees.
Teams that are near the bottom of the league are very dangerous to the teams above them because they play like wounded tigers, they are fighting for survival.
Newly promoted teams from lower leagues, quite often continue their good run of form from the previous season that got them promoted. They too can be very dangerous until players become injured and the richer clubs with their deeper squads begin to pull away from them.
_"...Leagues never lie..."_ , you deserve to be where you are at the end of the season.

I mean, tyler twellman said when he asked about the fate of USNT and the system in MLSthat this system was not fit for football (soccer) he said it was lack of accountability and rewarding to mediocracy. And it was proven in NFL this season when eagles "intentionally" lose to prevent giants went to playoffs.

The relegation was not accurate explained..
Actually from the 3 worst teams of the season..just the last has to leave into the second league while the winner of the second league gets the place in the 1st league.
The second last has to play against the 2nd of the 2nd league in 2 games (home/away) for staying in the league and the third last has to play against the 3rd of the second league in 2 games for staying in the league...by a draw after 2 games..that can be 2 drawed games or every team wins one match exactly with the same result then a penalty shootout is deciding who has to go into the 2nd league.
    Offside:
Imagine a line on the field as like in American football..that line is marked from the actual position of the last defender, his position is the initial point for that imagined offside-line....the attacker has to be exactly at the same line as like as the last defender in the moment where the pass towards him or behind the defending line was played (the moment where the ball leaves the foot respectively the player hits the ball in order to pass to that attacker or playing behind the defending line is the mark) in order to be not offside.
Even when just a toe or a heel or any bodypart is just the slightest over that imagined offside-line (maybe he is leaning forward although his feet are exactly there where they should be) in that particular moment when the ball was played towards him or behind the defensive line you are offside.
    General rules:
Every foul is penalized with a free kick from the spot where that foul happened.. Every foul in the box is penalized with a penalty. Hard fouls or obviously tactical fouls are additionaly penalized with a yellow card as well. Fouls from behind are an additional yellow card as well
2 yellow cards during a match is turning into a red card and the player has to leave the game and the team has to play with one player less.
Off the ball incidents, any unsportmanships and very dangerous fouls are straight red and the player has to leave the game and the team has to play with one player less..
When the current last positioned defender makes a foul on the attacker in a situation where the attacker clearly would had have a free run towards the goal or while the player is clearly attempting to shoot on the goal is also red when its done by the last positioned defender (seen as an unsportsmanship)
A 2yellow red also means suspension for the next game. A straight red means suspension depending on the actual incident for more than just the next game, at least 2 games suspension....collecting 5 yellow cards during the season is also a suspension for the next game.
