Just bought a threaded barrel from Numrich last November for 70+ dollars. Suppressor coming. Going to do some night maneuvers in the hood against my buddies the notorious armadillo yard destroyer. Great company, fast shipping.
You might want to check the box. Mine came with the pic rail and a wrench to change it out. The pic rail even has a fixed notch so you can have a fixed sight to use with the rail installed. My SW22 is very accurate with Aquila ammo. good shooting.
The victory with its single screw disassambly is good enough, I'm was not going to pay $100 more simply for the Mark 4 and its take down button. My victory DEMANDED to be be upgraded, its designed for modifications and needs it, the poor grip on the bolt NEEDS a charging ring, and its factory grip leaves much to be desired. That said I loved modifying mine into the "de-rat-inator" with dual laser sights and silencer for trying to control the rat population in the old family farm. Other problems is the safety would spontanously engage, had to open the grip and adjust the spring on the safety to prevent that. Oh and the stainless steel on stainless steel action of the victory is really loud, with subsonic ammo and a silencer you will notice that. Besides that its tough as hell, as to be expected from all stainless steel.
I was surprised. I have both guns, and the Victory's trigger is much better than the Ruger 22/45. The Victory was also more accurate, but in all fairness I didn't test several different brands of ammo. Time will tell. Thanks for the good review.
I’ve always liked that Ruger the pic rail is sweet..I run a sig 322 which when I say “run” I own it for training new firearm handlers who may have anxiety with larger calibers. I probably need to shoot 22 more for ammo cost..good info!
I have both, and three Buckmarks. From the factory, the SW is a solid third place in accuracy, trigger pull, and sights. It also costs the least. The Brownings have the best magazines and factory triggers. The MK4 Ruger has disassembly and value. Both the Buckys and Ruger are wicked accurate. I had to spend $650+ on my $400 SW to get it to shoot as well as my $500 MK4. None of them can touch my Volquartsens. The SW does what it was engineered to do very very well. Be an entry level cost efficient .22 pistol that can be upgraded over time and is easy to maintain. In its most common factory trim, it makes for a great field gun, plinker, target shooter and fun gun.
A very nice video...thanks for sharing. A question please: how does the SW22 Victory compare to the Browning Buck Mark Field Target, just in case you've experienced/know about the Browning for target shooting as well?
Thank you very much! I’ve not had the chance to shoot the buckmark just yet. It looks as though the buckmark has a smaller grip like the victory has. I may have to get one to play with. Thank you for watching!
My Victory has a horrible feed/eject jamming issue. Apparently this is a common problem with them...requires either being sent to the factory or bending of a welded flange inside the gun. I have a Ruger Mark 2 competition and Mark 4 Lite...not a single issue after literally thousands of rounds.
Do yourself a favor and bend the ejector! I bought mine in 2016 and couldn't get through a full mag no matter what ammo. Since the mod, ive shot 10k+ rounds and never have a problem as long as its not too dirty. All shooting suppressed so it gets dirty quicker.
@johnbutler1943 My cousin works at S&W and told me that it was a factory defect. He told me how they were fixing them at the factory...I fixed mine that way. It will cycle any ammo now.
My Victory will not shoot Remington or Winchester without feed issues. I have found that shooting Aquila ammo gives me ZERO problems. I was shooting a Steel Challenge match recently where I ran out of Agulia and had to finish with Winchester. I immediately began having all kinds of feeding issues. Back to Agulia, everything is fine. I have other ammo I have not tried, such as Federal, but since I know the Aquila works I will stay with it. I have read about problems with the pistol, and maybe that is so, just telling you what corrected my issue. I love my Victory!
I may do that if I run across a deal. I’ve got a buddy that has the GSG, but he hasn’t talked much about it. We’ve got a few other 22 pistols, but these are our favorites by far.

Great video!! S&W now has the new Shield .22 WMR with a 30 round capacity!!!
I run a browning buck mark .22 I absolutely love that pistol. Accurate as shit. Good video brother.
Thank you brother! I’ve been eyeballing the Buckmark Camper for a while. Might have to pick one up.

If either of these companies would make a double stacked (or staggered) model, I think they will sell a ton. Good video brother!
Thank you brother! 10 rounds is a bit light by todays standards.

Thank you for watching! Both guns have their strengths and weaknesses. You can’t go wrong with either one though.
Yet again, another good informational video👍🏼
Thank you brother! I really appreciate that.

Thank you brother! The 322 might be better to get a new shooter going due to how the slide works.

Very good points! I’ve not owned a Buckmark yet, but may look for one just to have it. Thanks for your info and thank you for watching!!

we too have each pistol and we feel the same way as your review indicated
Both are great plinkers.
Keep up the great work brother
Thank you brother! I really appreciate it.
Indeed, great content in your video Sir.
Thank you very much! And thank you for watching.
Great comparison video i hope you have an awesome weekend
Thank you Chris. You have a great weekend as well!

I hate to hear that. My wife’s victory has been a great plinker for her

It’s the ammo, they are particular. Try different ones till you get it right.

These are pretty cool. Always interested me. Id prefer one of the 1911 22LR models. GSG or the Walther. Maybe you could check them out.

Love my GSG. Fun to shoot and with the +4 follower, less reloading.
My wife just got the victory and loves that gun
They seem to fit a woman’s hand really well. My wife loves hers as well
Nice review, I have a lot of experience with the Ruger MK’s but none with the S&W Victory.
Thank you! I wouldn’t have bought the Victory for myself, but glad the wife did. They are both solid plinkers.
the picatinny rail is included now when you buy a victory.
Good to know! Glad they include those now.
polymer won't corrode like aluminum.
