    __IN THIS EPISODE:__
    In 1978 Kempton Park Hospital opened its doors. At the time, it was one of the best medical facilities in South Africa. Close to 2x decades later, on 26 December 1996, all doctors and medical staff abandoned the hospital in a single day, leaving behind a fully operational facility with all of its medical equipment worth millions, but worse yet, leaving patients to fend for themselves.
    In the following days, some say that patients were seen leaving the hospital in their hospital gowns, looking helpless and not knowing where to go…
    Being a state-owned medical facility, no real explanation was given for the abandonment of this place… leaving room for speculation, the rise of urban myths, and Kempton Park Hospital becoming one of the most haunted places in the country.
    Join me over the next few episodes, as we step into the heart of this once world class facility, to see what remains after almost 3 decades of abandonment…

    It leaves you speechless when one thinks that in a modern, developed society and city something like this could be allowed - a stone's throw from the international Oliver Tambo airport! Thank you Dries for a very good high quality video - technically as well as information wise! 🥇

      It is a tragedy indeed. Unfortunately it seems to be a culture in South Africa to loot, strip and destroy abandoned places. We try to document these places, to remember what once was, and also before they completely disappear. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it 🙏🏻😉

    why did the medical staff actually leave without notice?

    • @TheRogueUrbex
      @TheRogueUrbex  Před rokem +2

      Thanks so much for the question 😁
      This was a state owned facility, and there are numerous reasons, mostly speculation though, because of corrupt politics the truth is always hidden.
      In the next episode (Part 2) we will be discussing one of the reasons, in the form of a pretend Pedeatrician who murdered several infants. He is one of the main reasons, and hospital administration probably trying to avoid massive lawsuits, but this is also speculation.
      So stay tuned, as we delve deeper into the mysteries of this place over the next few episodes...
      Thanks so much for watching and supporting 😎

    Years ago i went there to see if the stories was real, i didnt even view the whole place i was still on the ground floor when stuff starting to happen, lights went on in the hallways, lifts go up and down by it self, dark rooms i could hear people scatter around but theres no one, beds or chairs moving around, and we got chills and headache and threw up we were sick for an hour or so. I took photos in the dark, and when i got home i moved it to PC and watch the photos and zoomed in i could see faces in the floor with their mouths open like spirits thats trapped in the floor screaming for help and that was in the babies room. I still have the pictures thou

      Wow 😲 , that is so amazing and totally creepy at the same time.
      We captured a few paranormal encounters, which will appear in the next few episodes of this place, coming over the next couple of weeks.
      Maybe we will go back for a midnight shoot of this place in the near future, if I can get one or two brave souls to join me 😱
      Thanks for the awesome comment, and also for the support, it is much appreciated 😉 👍🏻
