I don't like country-fried steak but my husband LOVES it and he only gets it when we eat out. He would have happily devoured what you made as it looked so nice.
Every thing looks so yummy and homemade with lots of love! 💕 I am getting back to baking bread from scratch again! I baked a lot when I first married then I stopped. Homemade is better! Thanks Shelby!
I don’t know why I’ve never made country fried steak at home. Looks delicious! Thanks for all these incredible recipes ❤
Great to see you back! Would love an updated pantry tour!

Shelby this is a recipe for Veda bread, it is an Ulster classic. Ulster is really Northern Ireland. It is delicious sliced with lashings of butter and strong cheddar cheese. Recipe: Veda Bread
Ingredients
280 g white flour
20 g roasted barley malt flour
30 g brown malt flour with walnuts
60 g barley malt extract
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
150 g warm water
8 g yeast
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°C, and place a container of water inside.
In a bowl, mix the warm water with the flour.
Leave to stand for 5 minutes at room temperature.
Then add the salt, oil, barley malt extract, 3 flours and yeast.
Knead generously until you obtain a homogeneous ball.
Leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Press the air out of the dough and knead again.
Place the dough in a loaf tin.
Bake at 400°C for 30 to 40 minutes.
If the bread sounds hollow, it's done, otherwise you can put it back in the oven.
Oh my goodness, it all looks wonderful. I have a question. Shelby, could you use your recipe and put in the bread machine?
Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been searching for a practical way to package individual servings of soup for 2 of my children attending college. Your method of storage would work perfectly!
What a hearty breakfast. I think my boys would enjoy that. I've never made country steak myself. Will have to give it a try. Stay well...😊
J'aime beaucoup vos préparations. Bénédictions +++!!!
Yum, yum and yum!❤
Hey Shelby- everything looks so good! It’s amazing to me how much wonderfulness comes out of your pantry! One question… with the gravy, is there a reason you use chicken bouillon instead of beef? Thank you for sharing! 🩷 xo
I always wondered what country fried steak was? Looks tasty
Delicious as always, I was hoping you would film your doggie 😊
when the time comes, PLEASE share canning recipes. I water bathed for years...the typicals like jam, tomatoes-stewed, sauce, etc
But I just recently got an electric pressure canner and cant wait to can with it. Need tried and true recipes to use for all the produce I get (gifts, organic crop share, growing etc)
Can you please do us a grocery haul I know you used to doing back in the day and you used to doing for a whole year right
I think she had to endure a lot of criticism for the amount of money she spent on those hauls, with people not appreciating that it was a yearly stock up rather than just a regular thing. Maybe she’s reluctant to do them again because of that, particularly seeing how much prices have risen since?
Looks so good so glad 6our baçk
With the electric slicer...how do you store your meat? Do you freeze the meat and just thaw out what you need for the week? Love this idea
Oooooo brown bread 🍞 yummy ❤
Can you please show us how you drain the oil? I always wonder what you drain it into, and what the easiest/safest way is to get hot oil out of a pan.
I keep an old coffee cup and drain my oil from my pans into it. Let it cool completely and the fat will solidify and you then can just toss it into the trash. Wash the coffee mug and it is ready for the next time.
Dear Shelby, trying all your wonderful meals out, i'm gettin urgent need to go out and cut some wood! But, since i dont have any, i'm going to the couch and enjoy a hallmark movie. It's the same, right. 😅
I tried making a bread like that once - it looked wonderful but it was so sweet we couldn’t eat it, so it ended up in the bin.
I love the measuring cups!! Can you share where you got them ? Or maybe a link to purchase? Please ❤thank you.
Shelby, ty bys měla napsat kuchařku tvých receptů.
I want to be you when I grow up
