Apex Legends Tips - Hry
Needs a video on dropping and breaking off.. to many times you end up in a bad situation because of a bad randoms drop. OR they don’t break off and steal all the loot you intend to grab on the drop. Inevitably screwing you over. As well as RATTING doesn’t work this season
Plus a video on stressing how caustic or certain legends play off buildings or are more of an anchor for the team. Caustic main too but even late game to many times teammates give up a trapped building with good ground to push a stupid fight. And I’m stuck trying to decide between helping and taking a BIG RISK or playing myself only to be yelled at by the guy you decided to find him mic after he dies
This right here. We shall call it Apex Etiquette. Ppl need to learn it
If they take all the loot off drop with you, just improvise and go look for some loot somewhere else. If you landed hot that's on you
These bad random drops are because of misinformation from CZcamsrs saying that in order to improve the fastest in apex you must drop hot and get into as many gunfights as possible per session. So please don't make this video because it will get misinterpreted and further destroy solo queue.
The whole team could say they intended to grab that loot, what I do if its a hot drop is grab one gun instead of two so teammate can grab the other.
My wife's favorite phrase when I ask why she wide swung = "I thought I had it" 😂😂😂
My bad habit is chasing down an Octane player and trying to be a good teammate. Only to find out that once he goes down by a three stack, he just to leave the game.
real
(Definitely not the overstimming idiot) I need to have better risk analysis, even if aggressive plays are really fun
Yeah, being a good teammate doesn’t apply to pubs unfortunately. Imo just play like you’re 1vx unless you realize your teammates actually care about playing together. The brighter side is that you improve on clutch situations
Playing ranked will take out the quitter element.
"Get comfortable with less". Preach dude...as someone who mostly solo queues, I cant count the number of times my teams been full killed b/c somebody was off looting or spending too much time looking for that one piece of loot they had to have.
Man i got these dudes i que with sometimes and jeeeeeeez. "Oh my god this iron sight sucks, i CANT fight until i find my 2x" *does 0 damage* "oh man its the hemlock man i had no scope".... Ugh, these typa guys always confuse me. Dont they know theres a training arena to get used to a hemlock, g7, stock pk, 3030 iron sight?
@@mlikonlineGod forbid I wanna be at my full potential
@@calvingillespie1177lol this video is exactly meant for you.
"Wait I'm not at my full potential, don't push me"
Regarding looting: I totally agree with most of what you said - but I think people also need to hear that you DO need SOME loot to fight most effectively. When I solo queue, I often have a teammate who won't back off even after one (or all) of us are out of ammo and/or heals and shields. In extended fights, sometimes just cutting your losses, looting up again, and reengaging is actually the best bet - especially if it seems your enemies still have ammo so you can't get close to melee. I've just had too many randoms screaming "COWARD" after I told them we're entirely out of ammo in the area and have to back off.
It's players like those that are hard stuck plat because they don't have any brain cells. The majority of players get tunnel vision when they hear shooting or are fighting. Like you said, if you don't have the resources, there is no reason to engage, but back off. Another thing about having no resources, the fight will drag on which means you will be thirded. But yeah some randoms get tunnel vision and most of them get hard stuck the moment they have to use one brain cell lol.
Once I hear a teammate say "I'm out of ammo" I ping to back out. I normally go off and loot alone. Since I'm normally playing support, if they choose to stay and die, it's up to them. It sucks to view it this way, but some players don't care.
I've even had a few games where I'm clearly low on health, I ping that I have nothing and my teammate don't ping anything or drop anything to help me out, but will push a fight together anyways. I just go off to loot alone. In this instance, it's more about caring for your life, especially since your teammates don't. I honestly don't know why some players play this way tbh
even though i get your point but most of the time you should have all you need if you keep killing teams and about the extended fights is a problem by itself as you should finish your fights as fast as possible so you dont get third teamed.
in other words fishish your fights asap=less resources used(except for nades)=less scenarios where you "need more" loot.
i know that there are times where it does happens that you dont have enough resources but the percentage that it should happen shouldnt affect your elo
also a tip that i see many people not doing, if a team you killed doesnt have the ammo you need and dont have then change weapons and communicate with your team if they have extra resources
@@Mon_55 if you are going to play support dont go loot alone and "support" your team, lifeline and conduit have skills that heal, loba shouldnt have a problem about loot, new castle and gib's shield are pretty usefull and maybe you can use your mic too and not just ping because sometimes some players dont hear or see the pings when they are fighting
this just became lfg and you now have a new squad mate
As someone who solo ques, getting comfortable with less doesn’t always work out for me. I’ll wipe an entire squad off drop with maybe 40 rounds to my name and no heals cause I use them all during the fight only to rez my two downed teammates who then proceed to steal all the loot I worked for. And if I loot before I Rez I’ll get chirped at by my two downed teammates who didn’t contribute to the fight at all. After experiencing this for so many games I’ve learned that my life is more important then my randoms lives I’ll loot up everything I need before I help teammates now and if they don’t like it they can leave😊
Facts
Sounds like a pubs problem. In most ranked games I've played, teammates are more than willing to share ammo, meds, etc as long as you're using your mic and communicating with them
@@OfArgento I don’t comm at all in pubs cause I feel as tho there’s no need for it. I don’t take pubs seriously just run around and find people to kill. Also the ping system gives my teammates all the information they need from me. As far as ranked goes solo queuing is very bad from my experience. Earlier ranks up to gold are pretty easy due to a lot of players not being good so you don’t need as much teamwork to win. Diamond is where it becomes increasingly difficult to play with randoms if you’re not all on the same page which happens with me a lot. I’ll comm the right play to my teammates (usually 2 stackers) and they don’t listen to my comms thinking they know best and then we all die and I just lost 80 RP due to someone’s ego which is why I don’t really play ranked anymore pubs is much less stressful and much more fun for someone who has no one to play with.
@@KevinBacon207 yeah I will agree with you there. Solo queuing in diamond and up is pretty much impossible, only every once in a while you will get good teammates who are on the same page as you
When i solo que i will loot and shield swap then res lol at least one box worth of shit bc god knows even if they do fuck all theyre looting everything
My biggest problem with the game is that if i dont have my favorite guns for close range, like a havok, r99, or prowler, I feel lost.
mango is the main creator helping me get back into apex after a two year break. Thank you!
Welcome back. Pretty much same thing but I've been back for about a month now. It's actually been fun. NGL.
🔥🔥🔥
This is a great video, I moved from cod for BF1 then played only Apex since launch. I’m in my 40’s and all my buddies still only play COD, I think APEX is genuinely intimidating to those that haven’t played and don’t have much time to game. I just wish they’d give it a shot…I solo Q and whilst it has its rewards through its challenges I’d love to 3 stack with pals
We are in the same situation with the age and the solo q. I feel ya brother.
Same situation not same eage but! You know my pals says you uhave to find the items for your guns no LOADOUTS etc etc! That's why they don't move from Warzone even when the cheaters partying everyday! That's why they won't go to PUBG also or to something else! Feel you so much since i am a solo player cuz my pals wanna play LOADOUT BRs!
Yup. Same age and mostly solo q for the same reasons. I try and message on various Apex discords LFGing for teammates with limited success.
I’m 35 n I have to solo Q too my mates just can’t get used to the back n forth in gunfights nor the TTK… one of my mates even said it looks like a recipe for an epileptic fit when I showed him a hectic final circle from one of my games
Do you play ranked?
yes definitely make a video about over looting and inventory management would help me a lot
lately ive been focusing on my breathing more as i play and it helps so much to reduce stress and panic, makes me feel more calm and focused which = better plays.
What I been working on swinging wide with cover. And I noticed that I finish more fights and win games crazy. Thanks for the tips!!
One of my worst habits is always trying to finish knocked enemies causing me to get knocked😢
Try using them as cover it makes it a lot easier to live players like pulling out there knock shields for this reason cause they know you want the thirst
I nipped this one early on in my plays. While it is always enticing to end on a kill, you squander the capability to get more by focusing on a non-threat. Good teammates will finish them off for you. But even better if you get the squad wipe. It depends on the situation though, if I get a down with a sniper, I will usually quickly followup shot to get the kill. In tight fights its better to pop an ability near the downed enemy to put pressure on their supporting teammates.
Same, especially in ranked😂😂😂
This can definitely hinder you, BUT--if the team has a lifeline, and you can fully kill the knocks safely it's always worth it to do so she doesn't rez.
Ive een playing since launch and i find this super informative for all players
Much love to ur channel over the seasons I’ve been improving as a player by watching ur content ❤❤❤
In ranked I like to keep a very narrow weapon/legend pool. A lot of players like to mix is up but the easiest way to improve is using 3-4 weapons max and maybe 2 legends over and over again so you master them
You're right. Unless you've been playing this game from day one and have used each weapon consistently once, there's no reason to switch weapons every game. I usually do 4, since sometimes you can't find the weapons you need. For example, last season i was using hemlok/3030, CAR/R9. This season i'm using a similar load out with 3030/hemlok, but using a havoc/volt or switching back to CAR if i need to. I'm doing the same for legends, but changing them based on the map. Worlds edge i've been using caustic more, olympus i use wattson, and storm point i use valk or wattson depending on my teams comp. I'd also add that players should pick 3 POIs to always land in based on the drop shit and always land there. A lot of players also have the habit of landing in different POIs.
That's why I main loba always have the best weapons for my play style. Lobas perfect I always longbow/3030 while my teammates push then bracelet.
the tip where you mention that people need to be calm in high stress situations is the reason i stuck with apex. when i first started playing apex i liked it but i really stuck wit hit for how intense the game can get. i love it when its the final circle and theres explosions going on everywhere from a bangalore ultimate or a fuse q, theres 4 squads all shooting at each other its just pure chaos and everybodies screaming trying to be heard. ITS SO LIT!!!! those are my favorite
Sounds like you are hard stuck bronze
So what if he does, games are all about having fun i mean there's bad players even on high diamond .
Just hot drop in every single trio and find comfort in the chaos, that will help you to keep your composure while fighting in end zones.
I honestly love this explanation.
Apex be wild especially three strikes
@@euqinemorfax people swear they good by they rank when they’ve been carried the whole time
would love a loot breakdown from ur pov; been following the channel since i got into apex and you talk about tips involving looting less and being comfortable with less a lot but something more detailed wld be stellar
Bro ur videos are so awesome and so helpful I love u so much❤❤❤ Keep it up mango!!!🔥🔥🔥
I keep up with patch notes and changes but now realize I don’t change the way I play. I still play like it’s season 0-4.. I need to take a second to find out what works now not what used to work. Thanks for that tip.
I come across alot of players in lower ranks (gold/plat and below) who don't know how to take advantage of their advantages in a fight (when they crack a shield or get a knock). Average players don't know how to close gaps and finish fights with their advantages and either lose that advantage (and then the fight) or take too long and get partied. Good players see an inch and take a mile; they see an opportunity and full swing it to their advantage and end fights quickly. Teamwork and desicive decision-making is key. Inexperienced players get a crack or a knock and run away or linger too long. That's a skill that good players use to win a lot of their fights; it's way more than just shooting straight.
Speaking of this i was on an alt thats g1 and we kept bullying this team and taking ground at barometer and they kept just falling back to different buildings farther into cave where zone was going down eventually we pushed them back to final zone but had to take out two teams coming into zone from behind but we cleared them and finally got to fight them again but with no where to run they got shredded.
Wasnt a bad team they were good at breaking contact and knowing when to pull back but they were mad annoying bc of it😂
Would love a video on looting, looting paths, and needing less.
My main issue is how much ammo to carry in the start. I know that only having 20 rounds is going to get me killed and then there is 100ish round with some weapons isn't enough for me.
thank you I am new and this really helps!
Very good tips. Thx
Real useful tips. I felt that about not capitalizing on damage I do to enemies
Love your videos of in depth explanation bro. However, I would love to see a video on how can you play caustic aggressively and also not taking too much damage. I love to play caustic and he is the only legend that I love to play. Somehow I take too much damage whenever I have to be in a gun fight so it will be great to see a video of explanation on playing as caustic.
Appreciate this banger of a video. Helped me realize I need to work on my awareness to capitalize on entry damage and to be mindful of swinging too wide/not using cover.
Haven’t watched the video- about to. But me and my teams bad habit is looting way too long after a fight. I need to prioritize looting quick and moving on. I don’t need to check every box - do I have ammo? Batts? Meds? Okay good moving on. I don’t need to find that blue stock lol I’ll get it next gun fight.
Great advice!
Team mates over looting is so frustrating. I’m in a battle and the are opening boxes.
4:45 "Is there another enemy team that can make you pay for pushing?"
YES! THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS YES!
My main issue is getting tunnel vision in fights and beelining it to enemies and usually I'm on my own and get downed in a 1v2 or 1v3 lmao
Hmm. I always knew I was doing something wrong...😂 Thanks for this banger, Mangos
I'm going to focus more on cover. Thanks!
Good info as usual
Very great video🔥
do you have a video on early, mid and late game analysis. I often find myself just following my teammate or goofing off in early and mid games.
Late games I know what to do because there are less variables and it's pretty straight forward.
The best strategy I have for early and mid games is to take a poi in the map and hold it till it's out of circle. Or follow the sound of fights.
I've seen some people follow the edge of the ring. But I only do that when I'm the only one left on my team and I can't get them back.
Cover is always the hardest for me to be disciplined about
One thing abt cover you can use your downed enemies as cover typically players like to pull out there knock down shields cause they don’t wanna be thirsted I’ve been using this more in fights and it’s helped take less damage and secure more kills it’s way more useful than you think it can be
yo which do you think is better bloodhound or bangalore in general?
The biggest thing I see new players struggle with is loot distribution, if I see my teammate is even half a second ahead of me trying to loot something I'll loot a different spot but so often I see teammates fighting for loot then both of them won't barely get any loot. Another thing I see that drives me crazy is new players trying to just use snipers, they will be sooo far from their teammates just poking people and that rarely will help your team or get u kills. The biggest tip I tell people that applies to a lot of games really is "be proactive not reactive" for example don't wait for an opportunity to get a kill or escape from a bad situation make that opportunity possible for u
Can you make a video on how to push a fight off initial damage from sniper/marksman distance
Would love a video on positioning and rotating vs. ratting; a lot of people think that's the same thing when it's not.
i have great mechs like able to beat top 200 apex pred friends on a regular basis in 1v1s but in battle royale i struggle with placement in fights and how to take them instead of just rushing in. do u have any tips for players like me?
Love your videos they're really on point. The problem i face though is occasionally everything clicks in place great, but then game after game I'm playing against ppl who just massively outclass me. Don't get me wrong i know im not a good player and the answer is practice practice practice, but i play casually and don't want to turn a fun thing into basically a second job.
Sorry just venting.
Over looting so often results in you just being a juicy loot delivery box for an enemy team.
Would you be able to make a video for gun play? I can't seem to hit my shots. Best sensitivity? Etc?😊
about point #3 try box breathing i.e. breath in nose 4sec, hold breath 4sec, exhale through mouth 4sec.
i had problems with hands shaking so hard i can't aim in last ring situations, box breathe when you feel the pressure rising and it keeps your body calm
I want a video on how to counter or adapt to the movement from high level players.. I can do well in fights where I usually come out on top, but then I'll see a Wraith who's cranking 90's and one clipping me with a kraber. It would be helpful if you made a video for new-ish players who have to deal with the strafing and wall jumping players
Honestly wish I could have you coach me, trying to learn from your videos but putting it into practice is my downfall. Love your work
One thing I’ve noticed about the way I play as I’ve gotten somewhat decent over the years, is taking advantage of the other players panicking, example would be say a supply bin, you and another player both grab a gun and he turns to empty is clip into you (they all do) so instead of challenging I just play the angles behind the bin until his clip is empty, then I just grapple to the other side of it and drop him before he can even turn around (3 million+ damage pathy main here) so all these tips are super viable but I’d say the not panicking is essential
As a Caustic main myself all of these tips are amazing. But I have to point out for all 6 some counterpoints that maybe people can help with.
1. As a controller legend, fortifying a building is great until it isnt. If you are on say Broken Moon or out in the open on Storm Point, with the exception of Catalyst your abilities are almost useless. Putting up an amped wall, gas trap or fence in the clear open or behind the 2 rocks in the area, is very weak in comparison to going up against Skirmisher legends. So I struggle to see how being mindful of abilities when they happen to have little utility can help.
2. Pushing damage. How do you move off of damage as a controller or support legend if your squad isnt going to back you up? We've all seen the famous Wraith, Octane and Revenant solo push. But then they blame you for not supporting the bad situation that occurred from capitalizing on that opportunity. Now imagine a Wattson or Caustic solo push 1v3. Without ult that is very hard to get the jump on.
3. Panic is normal especially on hot drop. But alot of situations having a level head isnt going to win a 1v6. Only thing you can do is take it as a learning experience for how to avoid the disadvantage.
4. I love the swing from cover tips. Especially for legends that can create cover. Again getting caught out in the open with a single gas trap as cover is lobby though.
5. Game state. I have a very good awareness of the state in the match. However especially in pubs, teammates do not. And get caught holding an area for too long, behind the ring or just blindly engaging in bad fights. Meta is also important to keep up on but sometimes I struggle to follow the constant weapon meta when sometimes it is a single mod that changes the performance.
6. Overloot is bad. But dropping and getting a single mag on P2020 isnt exactly a suitable start. Especially since getting weapons on drop isnt as common as well depending on the season.
Overall great tips but still need more ways to survive, engage and learn without obliterating my KD pushing squads with base shields like 90% of the teams are doing.
good to see so much Havoc gameplay, that gun is so slept on.
You use the spitfire an awful lot for a diamond player in your footage, is it a weapon you like and actively seek out or do you just use the gun you got good attachments for first?
My issue is the looting part. I like to have enough ammo and heals to last one 3v3 fight. Imo that like 100 rounds of usable ammo. You can't guarantee that who youre facing isnt good at manuevering.
Why do your grenades aim further. Mine is usually interrupted by the ult display. Is there a setting that all pros use or soemthing?
Awesome tips. Cant stress these enough. Dont ego chall everything.Don't be greedy. Whether it be stealing loot or thirsting for absolutely no reason. This game has a high ttk for a reason. It's like chess. My advice is treat it like so. Learn to take angles and how to make angles. When to take advantage of pushing or when pushing is a no bueno. Every body makes mistakes. Just remember to learn from them.
I would love a video on inventory management
Can I get help with positioning? I swear I should just do the opposite of where I think I should go. I’m either late to the party and don’t help, or I get caught out between cover.
An example of not keeping up, I just found out about the 5 map 😅 3 days ago
Listen regarding the final point i get it BUT. I am using LMG weapons like spitfire because my Aim sucks! Sucks to the point of my bullets might actually heal you instead of damaging you.
So to counter this weakness i am always looking for weapons with big magazines so when i am emptying my entire magazine on you i have cracked your shield and left you with 10% HP and my teammates can finish you off.
Please do a series on how to do team roles. How to anchor, how to frag, support, igl, etc
Need some tips on playing solo which is 99% of my apex playtime. I always try and play close-ish to my team mates but they're either a lower skill level or very high and leave when they've been downed. Not even sure why I play anymore 😂
I really enjoyed this video
Hey Mango, could you make a video explaining the difference of controller playstyle vs mnk playstyle?
Bro my teammate that I play duos with doesn’t know what to carry and how much of what and I try to teach him but he can’t learn and it’s holding us back 😭
You have received my sub
Can you make a updated sens video please I can’t play w out it
Yes please do an inventory video
Having this video for lunch is amazing
Pd: make the video about the inventory
More of these talks is what we need for the gaming community…😂❤
Great advice....should have explained how to achieve "Zero" recoil like your game clips.
I would love a video about communication. I'm trying to play with 2 very good friends BUT somehow our comms suck badly... And I don't know how I can fix it, I've tried everything
Greetings from Germany🎉
13:09 That would actually be helpful, would love it
Okay off topic but that fuse clip was Absolutely diabolical😭 if dat happend to me I wouldn't touch the game for the rest of the week💀
in matters of learning how to use the environment and cover like an habit if you like to play apex go play ghost recon wild lands and the next one in the sequele to improve in mental gameplay in apex and other fps games
A looting break down would be very helpful
great video, but I miss the skate clips at the end
My friends I play with are too stuck to using snipers and NEVER pushing. It’s rough.
I really wished respawn adds were you get get KP for knocks, so annoying when you get four knocks and zero profit
why? that would encourage everyone to just post up somewhere and snipe. If you leave them enough time to revive 4 times without getting one finish you need to be more aggressive in finishing your kills.
@@IhaveaDoghouseThat's true, I just wished they had something for close quarters.
Definitely make a video on looting I’m so bad at it
The ability one is soo true,.. i think we can all say that we have encountered a “teammate” who did not use their abilities enough (or at all) which resulted in a loss
I mean try to utilize everything to get the advantage right
Yeah ur washed you dont know what ur talkin bout
Oh sorry mb
Oh dw happens to the best
@@prometheus_arrowBro are you serious you didn’t switch your account before you started talking to yourself so embarrassing
Dope video. Hard to communicate this to teammates
Soloq automatically puts you into massive disadv. when climbing. You need Comms and chemistry. Even with 1 random its difficult to win. Game was meant for 3 stacking
I have been playing since season 8, but this season I feel like an absolute noob 😂. I'm sure it's because I am making stupid mistakes, but it just seems like I have gotten worse over a short period of time honestly.
8:21 Mangos you should know what I'm gonna ask by now
Music?
What Bloodhound skin was that at 3:21
A lot of what you said here isn't even really about apex and more about just thinking tactically in general and being a functional person 😂 I find it funny because a lot of people need the advice you're giving for their daily life not just for the game
very true! W video. thanks for the game btw. BUSHIN B!
Please make the video of balancing looting and and fighting or awareness or whatever
Bro great video the tips are priceless!!! The staying calm tip is top advice I have learned to relax in the middle of a fight and remember to pop a batt or cell … 👌
bad habits can form even in the best of players! its good to take a step back and listen to someone with outside perspective or someone thats recently dropped their own bad habits
I mained the old Revenant, and I don't know who to play anymore because rev was my character. I did main wattson at one point and learnt her well, but I played way more rev. What do you recommend?
You could try Ash. I guess she comes sort of close to old rev. She can hold people with her snare like when you couldn't use your abilities with old revs silence. New revenant is also fun tho
@@siebnooij Ill try her, new rev doesn't really feel satisfying for me tho, I liked how it felt to take away people's abilities (especially wraith)
@@zipzac8509 if that's what you like, crypto and seer both have abilities to take away other's abilities. But most importantly, have fun while playing
@@siebnooij I thought seers silence was an interrupt, not a long silence. I used to main crypto, might try him for the next split. Thanks for your help
@@zipzac8509 a lot of characters also have abilities to stun like mad maggie's wrecking ball or valk's missiles. It's not the same as a silence but it might work for you. You're welcome brother
What's holding me back is my teammates, hope people who que ranked see this video. People i get matched whit push 24/7 even whit 0 shields and hits 10 dmg blames me more people who is in the same boat ?
I think the thing holding me back the most in apex is not using a XIM or ZEN and also playing a non meta legend. If you want to be good at apex these days you need both of those for sure.
One more thing: use and use grenades correctly
All 3 types of grenades in the game are useful and strong in their own way. They are like an additional ability for your legend, which allows you to gain time or position, finish off the enemy and more
Most players either do not use them at all, or do so uselessly, discarding them and not gaining any advantage from them. A properly thrown grenade, at the right time, is a huge contribution towards victory
My problem is, i get 1 clipped 95% of the time. Some nights on duos i can't peak because they have a wingman or 3030 with a SP. Not to mention horizon players jumping sliding sideways hitting 100 per shot with the PK.
What's holding me back is 30fps and potato quality graphics 💀
How & where do you find real people as teammate in this game?
my biggest pet peeve is when teammates immediately heal or running after taking any damage instead of repeeking the enemies cross. thats time youre not shooting your gun and giving the other team space and angles on your team. even if you lose health you can trade damage when theyre in the open giving your team better opportunity to win outright or force them to not full commit.
oh yeah repeaking instead of healing is definitely a tip
@@cameron2348 reading is hard I know. It doesn’t mean ego chall after getting cracked. It also says ANY damage not peek when you’re one hp
I really like and dont like meta legends.
On one hand it's fun to run into those lesser played legends like gibby or rampart (and i dont mean the level 10 who just started playing but the guy whos been playint rampart/gibby for many seasons) but it's also annoying because theres always 10 octanes, 10 pathfinders and 10 horizons in basically every match.
Predator player? They are playing 1 of the legends mentioned above ORRR the new meta legend (conduit)
And those less picked legends get hated on because they don't have enough Players to really show what they are capable of
