    Thanks for the tip! My Bissell Proheat Pet carpet cleaner was not spraying from the floor sprayers nor hand tool. Installing the belt was very easy and I thought it would resolve my issue completely, but it didn't. However, I can say it helped as it was a combination of things that ended up resolving the no spray issue. And here is everything I did to finally get my cleaner to work...might be your case too - unclogged one line near the auto load receiver (where the water tank valve connects), placed a tire valve cap (can use a screw) which pushes up on the tank valve to allow the water pump to do its thing, unclogged the heater (it was filled with gunky soap and calcium), and finally replaced the water pump (it would spray for just a few seconds, then go into a drip and finally no water) in both floor and hand tool sprayers. Just a note, these repairs did not happen over night or a few hours, if you know what I mean, but determination and confidence that I was going to fix this plastic machine kept me at it! Ensure unit is unplugged when working around internal components. Good luck! (Don't give up!)

    Replacement belts should be available, you can just buy by length, just like a mower tractor belt, car accessory belt or any other belt out there.

      Probably where you put the collection container, it probably doesn’t have a good seal. Open up the container and then take it off, clean around where the top goes back on the container. Put it back together and you should be good. If not, take it outside pick it up over your head and throw it as far as you can. And that should pretty much take care of it. Problem solved.

    • @jmayor88
      @jmayor88  Před 5 lety

      I don't think so. If you are having fluid pump issues you may want to check the traps to see if there is any lint in the filters slowing down the fluid passages. Also make sure the tank is pressed in securely; I've had it a few times where I thought it was in but it wasn't seated all the way.

      Well the only way to know if the belt is "fine" is to open it up and check and see if it is taught or not. Having a new belt to compare it to is a good idea.
      If you are having issues with spray from the main housing in the front then it may just be clogged with lint; that is pretty common as well. I'm no Bissell tech, though... check everything from lint traps to seals and the nozzles themselves. A tooth brush can clean nozzles very easily.

    so many videos tap dancing around the issue that I have. Loads of people have weak flow, no flow to the hose, Bissell seems to think were all morons and forget to fill the soap bottle and everyone mentions changing the belts. My belts are fine, the brushes turn full power, the vac works 100% there is not weak flow, there is literally zero flow. I tore it down to expose the pump, removed it and spun it with a power drill and there is zero suction. There is next to no one talking about the pump and how to test it for failure.
    We have had our unit for a few years and in that time have not used it much except for 1 room deep clean and a few carpet spot cleanings. The thing I think happened is the soap chemicals destroyed the pump seals from sitting in the pump after use. I think after replacing the pump I am going to flush the unit with just hot water to make sure there is no soap residue in the pump after use before sitting in storage for another year. I got their branded soap on my skin once and it burned like hell, so I can imagine it melting away rubber or plastic seal parts inside the pump.

    Get to the point. And then show how to put the belt on.
