EDIT: I get people store their cars in the winter to avoid salt when it snows, I get that, but if the roads are clear why not get em out and for a quick drive. I know for northeast and Midwest car guys that's not very often.

Nah man, this is powershifting. You can see it hit the red-line mid shift. True noliftshift system automatically cuts revs, so throttle stays open, and turbo continues spining, next gear is prepared with full boost, power and automatic rev drop prevents from clutch/trans braking, due to reduced drivetrain schock. This man just abusing his tranny and clutch...

This is real no lift shift, you can even see that boost doesn't go to the full vacuum. Imagine what will happen with big turbo, even longer spool on regular shifts. so nolift shift/flatshift/shift-cut allows to maintain boost, and prevent trans break on high HP projects.

Crazy. I would think that's horrible for the car but you do it so fast it's like a double clutch paddle shift. Looks smoother than my smooth shifting 😆
Well, it's definitely not good for it at all. Every shift the RPM spikes and then suddenly the engine had to match speed of the transmission. That shock is not good for the clutch or the transmission. At least GM has no lift shifting programmed into the ECM so that the engine cuts the timing for a smooth shift.
Gm makes good for it to not be horrible the way it’s programmed

@@raymondamoroso2049 it’s a old school saying “banging” or “rowing” gears. And no lift shifting is possible in any manual with a swift clutch foot and a keen feel for stick engagement.

Nice driving. Try not to put pressuring or weight on the shifter before disengaging the clutch though; otherwise, you make damage the shift forks!
Nice job. Power shifting is a skill and an art form. And when done properly as you have just demonstrated it has to be at minimum as fast as any modern paddle shift trans.

Thats how you shift!!!!.. a good tranny and good gearbox will do this USUALLY without fail. but its not a sure thing, you very much can miss/blow a gear(shift) .. And in blowing a gear you can damage the gearbox. BUT when dragracing.. this is typically how you shift. That said it also depends on the car. From a standstill you may not be able to hunker down on the power like that, especially if the car has tons of power and torque, youd obviously just be breaking traction and spinning the wheels. so.. you either granny shift coming off the gas between shifts or you get good sticky tires that wont break traction.. (i prefer a good set of sticky Mick's!!) mickey thompsons. And ironically.. while most people opt for larger tires you very well may be better off with smaller than average tires and smaller wheels. Less rotational mass. equates to amplitudes of more torque and horsepower conveyed. Whats easier for your engine and transmition to spin around a bit heavy sticky wheels or a smaller sticky wheel. think of the same principle as a lightweight flywheel. smaller tire, less mass faster rotation faster acceleration. we learned this back in the 80's 5.0 era. And people thought we had engine mods. We didnt even have a change in stock gear ratios and we still beat most cars just from having smaller wheels that hooked up well. Sticky mick's goes a long way.
Driving a performance car in inclement weather.. nice. 1, salt on the roads makes the car rust. 2, cold tires dont grip well and you could've spun out or slid going so fast. Save ut for the summer
