I just came back from going to Rainbow mountain and was wonderful, much better experience than going to Macchupicchu, also this video does not show how scary is the drive there....
Was the drive there scary for you? I guess we had been in Peru for a while and the drive there was just on another mountain road. ;)
yes, the roads do not have any protection along the edges, people drive fast.. that was the worse part of my trip to Cusco in particulate, I also felt that way going to Macchupicchu,so went I go back I will try to walk more to these places, like Choquequirao
True, we do like walking a lot more than driving. We never went to Choquequirao, but we will next time we return to Peru.

Hi Andrea, thanks for the compliments. If you watched the video, you could see us staying in those beautiful lodges along the way. This 5-day hiking trip can only be organized through Andean Lodges, the Peruvian company who owns the rights/land to do the trek in this area. If you want to see the rainbow mountains, that's the way to go.
