Bobs uncontrollable giddy excitement for Simz is matched only by his reflexive disgust towards Drake 😂
It’s so enjoyable watching someone enjoy an album for the first time so much like this.
:)
Incredible album, haven't stopped listening since it dropped
I keep saying “yeah” outloud whenever Bob gives his opinion.
lol
LITTLE SIMZ?? COMMON BOB W
Brother, you clearly don’t know
This album feels like the best of both of her last two I love Introvert but it's a little bloated which is why some people prefer grey area as it's just as good but quicker and too the point. No thank you feels like it has both the pacing and simplicity of a grey area but the feel, scale and ambition of introvert.
Yup, I totally agree. It's right in that sweet spot
This is an incredible album. I didn’t love it at first for some reason, but now I can’t stop listening to it.
I’m still not in love with the second part of the album as much as the first, but all those songs up to Broken are top top top tier.
Heart on Fire is especially my favorite, but man, she goes OFF on X, Silhouette, and Angel and aaaah I love her.
She’s the best in the world right now for me
hope you found your way to "who even cares" because it's a jaaaaammmm
Sideways sample comes from Cleo Sols song, also titled "Sideways".
Cleo Sol is another gem to listen to.
1:11:30 bob that’s one of the best hip hop breakdowns I’ve heard in so long. Changed how I view this album and going to go into so many new albums with that. The idea of mantras is so important and flows through this album correct!
1:09:42 This is my favourite line from the album, it literally can change lives
Yep, it really can. It's so easy to get lost in the noise, and statements like that help cut right through it and make people realize... "Oh man"
Saw you listening on spotify and hoped a reaction was coming! I ended up writing an essay about this album and SZA’s album SOS last semester for an undergrad modern philosophy class. Two different responses to the abuse of industries and systems, one revolutionary one perverse but each so beautiful and so human. So glad you are putting Simz at the top where she deserves to be, thanks for your love for the music and i hope april is smooth sailing for everyone reading 😝
“Little Simz is not your savior” - Bob
I'm so jealous of you who get to write essays about music for classes. I never got to do that!
I would have definitely written about Little Simz for my Buddhism course back in Uni, the way she talks about ego, evolution, accountability, modesty, honesty, nirvana, angels and demons, integrity, I could go and on, and how Bob pointed out the mantras in this album.. Little Simz would need to know not a single thing about Buddhism, she is, I think, a Buddha among us, Enlightened One. I love her, she is my #1.
Bob, when you started laughing at yourself for being amazed and loving the music "too much" I literally see myself losing it too. This album made me go nuts, Im as old as Simz is, she has always been one of my favorite artists, but when I listened to this the day after it went out I just knew I was living a moment I would always treassure. She in inmese, Heart on Fire makes me cry everytime still, so I just wanna say that watching you react has always made me feel understoond deeply. Even if we will never meet, I know for a fact that someone else connects as deeply as I do. And all the watchers here as well! So yeah, thanks for being ypurself and sharing it. Much love from Andrea in Mexico City :)
PS: Yes, this album is AMAZING, every line gets better and better. I loved your take on the choruses being mantras, It feels so so accurate. I love that the sound is so grand it hugs you and uplifts you while she is spitting harsh truths in exactly a precise and beoutiful way.
I absolutely LOVE your breakdown and your inputs on each track. Amazing.
was waiting on this one!! such a brilliant album, check the music video for the album it covers a few tracks and is just visually stunning and powerful, really adds to the experience. thanks for the good vibes Bob
Nice, I'll check it out now 👍
Bob gonna faint when he sees her live
I know this for a fact
I haven’t heard this album yet & im loving it. “Broken” reminds me of another great song called “Fighters” by Lupe Fiasco from “The Cool”
i felt like in broken the chorus also is her telling herself to go back to this letter/ these verses 'when she's feeling broken' to remind herself of her worth etc.
Funny thing, if you change No merci to non merci it's no thank you in French. Very cool double entendre throughout the song.
Yup, and I didn't even realize it on the first go through lol
I think it really creates the double meaning for the entire album. No thank you to everything this industry is bringing to her life, and no mercy in revealing to the rest of us how vile it is
I was sitting here waiting for this to drop while buying tickets to her LA show. Lets go !!
I SOOOOOOO want to go to that, but I can't :(
Other things going on that day and it just kills me. I know how rare it is for her to be able to put on a show out here.
so glad to see the appreciation this album deserves! i think this is her best writing so far. i still prefer her last two works, but this is still a very quality release and i think she reached a standard with her lyricism and production that not many can match right now. it's one of the best 3 album runs imo. and you could tell she really had a LOT to say.
Hearts on Fire and Broken
Thank you for appreciating this album. This whole shit changed my year in 2023, honestly 💗
This is one of my favorite reactions from u. Love the simz appreciation
59:26 Little Simz broke him
hot take this is her best work :) great album!!
Not sure best but my favorite for sure
Tough week been saying that my whole life 💀.
Prolly the line that hit me the most from the album
Very powerful line
For me personally this feels more like a B sides album and a “f the label” one too. I don’t feel like it’s her best but I don’t think it’s trying to be either. I’m glad it’s a nice and chill listen from her.
Agree in general...but Broken is a masterpiece
Stillness in wonderland by Little simz is great too, you may want to check that out.
damn, i was expecting the earl super friday this month, but still a good pick to react to😥
sameeeeeeeeee
absolutely love your discussion on the complex topics the album explores. hearing your thoughts on the bits about capitalism and religion made me appreciate this amazing album even more
Bob freaking out over how amazing Simz is is a mood
Incredible album! If you want to dive more into UK rap I would suggest Dave - We're all alone in this together
I REALLY need to listen to some Dave. I've been putting it off for so long.
X, Angel, and Gorilla are my favorite off this album ❤
Bob. Earl sweatshirt. Please
Some rap songs and Sick! Please!
Common's 'Be' and Blu's 'Below the Heavens' also get overlooked too much as fantastic albums
Common's album has been recommended to me tirelessly. I really need to sit down with that one.
Does someone knows the song Bob mentions on Control ?
I've had the same feeling but can't remember
I know for a fact that you'll love 'we are all in this together' by dave
Broken is so soulful it's definitely my favorite
Bob, have you done psycho drama by dave yet? Amazing album
Hey bobbb love the reaction, please continue reacting to the Saturation Series
Break literally just started let’s gooo
Amazing album a great review
Still waiting for Solange - A Seat at the Table
You won't be disappointed. One of the few agreed-on modern neo-soul classics
She's so cold man. Absolutely love her to bits
POLO G - Die A Legend (1st album)
The GOAT (2nd album)
Hall of fame (3rd album)
Gonna watch Simz live this summer, can't wait 🎉
also urgent THE PIANO SONG ON CONTROL IS LAYLA!!!! THE PIANO EXIT I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE BOB DONT WORRY IT PLAGUED ME FOR 2 MONTHS!!!!! DEREK AND THE DOMINOS and GOODFELLAS (i think)
Yup, Layla :)
I finally figured that out too. My brain was making a fusion of "Layla" and "End of Innocence" by Don Henley
Hey I love you reactions bob. I think you would really enjoy the other saturation albums from BROCKHAMPTON, please react to those!!!
He did the first one if you didn't know.
I’d love to see you react to konnichwa by Skepta. It would be such a different experience of hip hop for you
YES LETS GOOOOO BOB!!!! Little Simz is an amazing artist. She's unbelievable .
I think the “Bank got bigger, been a different species” is her saying that the people around her changed into something else when she started getting hella money, they turned into a different species, it may be a reach tho 😂
I know you probably have a million albums to listen to, but I think 10,000 gecs by 100 gecs is a worthy listen for sure ❤
My wife and I were hoping to sit down with that one and listen together, but we just haven't found the window for it yet.
@@bobthepoppop I LOVED your guys’ reaction to the first album! But no rush at all, I understand we’re all busy rn 😅
you should react to 1999
oh hohoho here we goooo!
As a fairly recent hip hop listener do you feel a bit taken a back by the British accent or is it sound for you? I know a Lot of Americans that have listened to rap for many years do have some issues, But I wonder if your ears hear it different as there’s leas years of context? Love to hear back from you. Typing this from rainy rainy Leeds :) great video
A little, but not enough to be bothered by it. I'm a fan of British comedy and will watch a lot of different things on CZcams, so I'm somewhat used to the accent
great video, Would love to see some skepta content
Surprised you didn't do the estate sale by Tyler or don't go outside by unruly and klwn cat. I think you'd really like the latter.
Would love to see uncommon valor-ra the rugged man ft jedi mind tricks. And patience-damian marley ft nas
Redeemed for robbing simz in the bracket
react to tylers new deluxe version of call me if you get lost, its called "call me if you get lost: estate sale"
TYLER TYLER TYLER
Will you react to the Tyler deluxe? It’s 8 tracks and great
Bob plz do The Weeknd thursday! It’s literally so amazing!

Did he do Simbi already? I am asking this without watching the video yet cus I ain't have time yet
yeah
Rapsody "Eve" album 👀👀
Simz is the best UK rapper in the game by far. Maybe the best UK rapper ever.
SIM SIMMAAAA
I know this is old and I know you might have already been exposed to it, but I will take the risk in asking, have you watched the music video with a compilation of some of her songs? I think it’s just called the “no thank you music video”. Heart's on fire is WICKEDDDD
I’m waitin for that Tyler the creator the estate sale reaction🙏
Do “LUV is Rage 2” by Lil Uzi Vert or “The Life Of Pierre 4” by Pierre Bourne next! :)
React to Dead Prez - They School
Fantastic album from Little Simz. Please make a a reaction vid to Melt My Eyez See Your Future by Denzel Curry. I feel like you will absolutely love it!! It is a soulful introspective album with incredible production. Check it out ;)

@@bobthepoppop Bob please please listen to Paid In Full. It's a very important album for you journey through hip hop
He reacted to Melt My Eyes a long time ago. He linked it for you. :)
@@fernandoreyes680It will likely happen eventually.
Whenever you find the time or energy to do it can you react to some lil uzi vert albums? or atleast consider it. i know you have a lot going on right now but if you can find the time.
he said something about not wanting to do much trap I think. not 100% tho
Hey bob, I hope you consider Bladee for a reaction soon
please react to "i dont like shit, i dont go outsitde" or x or lil peep
I’ve never heard of the recent albums you’ve done
they’re all pretty great definitely check them out!
Rapsody...same high quality lyrics...without the monotone voice.
first?
yes... first
not*
Bro is listening to the most obscure albums before the classics lol
Huh? He has done PLENTY of classics. Actually, I would assume he has heard more of the "classics" than most modern hip-hop fans. So that is an unfair and disingenous assessment. And you act like he sold the idea that he was strictly going to listen to what you consider "classic". That term is so subjective. What you're really saying is "I can't belive he isn't only acting to album I personally think he should react to." lol He is keeping his selection diverse, because that gives a far more honest and accurate taste of the genre. Just listening to the same time period would get dull, even if the albums are amazing.
It is so wild the entitlement people will willingly have towards music. And not just that, but how someone consumes it. I'll let you in on a secret, there is no wrong way. It's just beyond childish, in all honesty.
Xxxtentacion
😪 another week I’ll have to wait for a good album
L review. Better albums
You fell off bc you started listening to all the nerds ab what to listen to.
simz is important to hip hop. worth getting to know !
Cmon bro wtf is this. No way you actually listen to this shit over any Asap Rocky, Joey badass or schoolboy Q album. Been pretty disappointed the last few weeks.
@@austinr.g8349 I guarantee I’ve listened to more hip hop albums than you. Look at Jon Denton for example, he pumped out all the heavy hitting hip hop album reactions with lots of success. I feel like Bob has more relevant albums he could be doing in his journey through hip hop, which i believe would consequently get bob more views.
just dont watch
@@austinr.g8349 when did i claim i’m a musical scholar? I would rather watch reactions to albums that I like. Also not hating on Bob, just questioning the album reaction choices
Little simz is actually pretty good imo she's one of my favorites you should check her out.
I really hope Bob does eventually get around to Asap rocky. Even if its testing that would be fine.
@@baraobam8416 bro Simz dropping fire for the last couple years. Asap rocky silent for 4 years.
