New songs are always the hardest to take in. These boys signed to a new label this year. We can only hope this means some of the best work from them. I too was expecting a little more heavy hitting riffs and screams like in their teaser on twitter. I'm a huge fan so I will support them regardless. Really looking forward to this new album. Caught myself thinking about them today actually.

blessthefall is one of my favorite bands, I've been listening to them since Witness and they were my first "post-hardcore/metalcore" band, and I honestly love that they joined Rise records and this song is really great, I really enjoy the direction and I'm sure hard feelings is going to be a great album.
His screams are good and in the right place of the song. I love this song and every album they have put out.
This band has always played between heavier and softer songs on all their albums, this ONE song isnt heavy but that doesnt mean they wont have anything heavier. You guys seriously need to chill out. Lol

It's funny because for example bands such as Killswitch Engage, Every Time I Die, and Silverstein do the same exact thing yet they have some great fanbases that are open to more hooky songs. Maybe the main complaint here is the lyrics, though I really don't think they're that bad.

This song is fantastic! There's always been lighter songs on every album for example "see you on the outside" and "the departures". But what you've got to realise is that they've got to do what is best for gaining new followers. I think this is great, stop hating because it's not heavy and grow up, thank you.

Honestly this is the closest to “generic” of any metal band i listen to, but im never disappointed because it’s just... really good. Everything is mixed well, individual instruments/vocals are performed well, composition is fluid; btf just do their stuff really well and if you find it to be close to generic like i do, you have to admit that if you had to listen to generic, it would have to be these guys.

Great single. Everyone being hard on this song needs to realize this is a song to give people a catchy taste of what Blessthefall has been working on. There will be "heavier" singles and less "generic" songs.
It's good. Not groundbreaking. But it is good, the band should have more heavier songs in the new record so we should reserve our full thoughts until the record comes out.
Either way, i'm excited for what Blessthefall will offer with album #6.

Nikita Ember yeah the bass player is Jared and yes he does most of the screaming. But Elliot is the guitarist opposit of Eric. And Elliot is the one who does the screams at the end of the song “Walk on Water”. And his screams are fuckin amazing and they should let him do more instead of putting it all on Jared.
Nikita Ember they sound much diff in my opinion, but i can assure u its 100% elliot who does the ending of walk on water. It shows him in the music video singing it and watch live performances of walk on water. Elliots screams are very very impressive. And no, unfortunatly he hasnt been features in any other songs yet which to me is very disappointing because his screams are great and it would take some of the load off of Jared

This song is really great and I’ll always support BTF because they’ve always been solid, but this made me realize Hollow Bodies just can’t be topped. I wish they put in the effort into trying to match that, because they totally could, but choose not to and go the more catchy route. Here’s to hoping they have some really unique and more creative songs on the album. I’m optimistic though.

As long as they have Zack then the riffs will still be there but I really want it their new album to be more riffy like Trapped, Made This Way, Grunge, and Sellout had killer riffs and I loved the djent sound esp in the title track.
