@@Wally-H Seriously. Thanks. I watched every single episode I could get my hands on. Astonishing that ACORN or BBC hasn't managed to make it available digitally.
@@EstrafaDC Sadly it is rather underrated in this country despite the fact at its peak it got a very large audience. It seems largely forgotten when people talk about the truly great British sitcoms - I don't really know why; it is partly due I would say to how successful Briers' previous comedy 'The Good Life' was as that gets more recognition. They were released on DVD: I used to have series 1, so I assume you can get the rest in that format.
Brilliant - for me, ranks alongside the episode where Anne is next door at Paul's party and Martin calls her and says, in that stern way of his, "The cocoa is on..."
What a wonderful actress Penelope Wilton is..
Brilliant series. Really wish it was available in the United States. Briers was a brilliant comedic actor. RIP.
Thank you for appreciating it, it was a brilliant series.

Kidderminster? But it’s Tuesday? 🤣🤣🤣
"I've got a smile starting inside, Anne, but I'm not sure if I can make it come out on my face." LOL. that's the best line in the whole series.

It’s Ovaltine, not cocoa.
