Just reading these comments. Remember Joe is giving us a slice of his world. He’s friends with the people we watch and listen to, and he’s doing a podcast with a journalistic POV. So he will need to apologize at times. That’s just being mature not a clown.
True, but being that this is something this happening a lot often than it should be I believe his next preventative measure should be to think carefully before he says anything. Him and his cast mates alike instead of having to issue apologies after the fact. I’m willing to grant you don’t know what’s going to offend someone until after it’s said but he called him a Clout chaser to support the idea that the song sucked. The 2 are unrelated.

Unlike most journalists, Joe knows the people he is giving his journalistic opinion on so he is always walking a fine line. But he has a show to produce. Another thing, what makes this podcast better than all others is that it’s not over produced. It’s free flowing. They bleep things when they feel it can’t get out. But the nature of it being organic and not over structured is why this podcast is #1. He (Joe), they (cast and crew) know what they are doing because it is working!
@@marse8796 You can not overproduce your content without needlessly saying things you don’t mean for shock value and attention. And simply because the formula works in one way doesn’t mean it can’t be improved others and may fail in many other ways. He’s grabbed attention sure but at the cost of a relationship with legend in the game, hence the phone call.
I would imagine you to be a free thinker but being free doesn’t mean carelessly toss your words around because while you’re in pursuit of authenticity, you sacrifice accuracy and being imprecise furthers how ineffective you are rhetorically. As a journalist, I would imagine that be at the forefront of his agenda because if what you say is just inaccurate, the clout chasing comment for example, too many of those and your opinions on a matter start to value less. That is also not being careful. I think most of what is being said is a natural response, which is what I’m here for. This is why I love this podcast. To be honest, the only formula I’m seeing here is to be real. The style or format of the show is not a cookie cutter layout. They bring up whatever topics they want, in whatever order they feel. Then they give their opinions. This is where it gets tricky, because so many people watch it and yes even famous people. That’s how good this podcast is. People actually carve out hours of their day to listen to this, which is unheard of with the way people take in content these days. Anyway…Joe has decided to give his raw uncut opinion, good, bad or ugly, he delivers it. And I am here for it. I want that! Whether people feel it’s clout chasing or not that is their business. From my assessment, listening to what his friends say about his personality, Joe is blunt. Thats is him. Remember this is NOT CNN. I liken this to the opinion column or segment reporting on news or in this case pop culture news. I like the way you write and debate. Thumbs up for that!

I would like to say that i understand the need for unfiltered and raw content because a lot of platforms are watered down and try too hard to appeal to civility. I just think there’s a better way to go about it without just saying everything and anything. For example, if we were to try to have this conversation and have the primary focus be authenticity. I’m sure that there’s plenty of disrespectful things you and I could say to be real. If that’s what’s ultimately the goal, then we’re good but if the goal is to be accurate about the subject at hand and in Joe’s case have journalistic integrity, selecting your words carefully should not have to come at the expense of authenticity if we wish to maintain civility or disregarding needless quarrel in my opinion. I do completely understand and agree to some extent with your claim. Thank you for this.
