Finally another season. Been playing and practicing everyday and I swear there needs to be more BW. Too much sc2 not enough bw. Not that i hate sc2 or anything but we need more BW man !

yeeee. what? I play both games and love sc2 also but for being the better game theres not nearly enough offline BW tournaments.
I genuinely don't think that translates to hate. I, for one, would love more Brood War representation. I love the hell out of StarCraft and I want both games in the series to do well. Not just one of them.
you know that its subjective which one is the better game, right? and that you could have just wished for more BW tournaments without saying "too much sc2" (the fact that its not even correlated aside).
Shine v Sky was fuckin nuts. So was Shuttle v Light. I love early game brawls, especially when they're as messy as these. You don't know who's winning until it's over.
I just love Shine, i seriously hope he wins the ASL or at least defeat Flash or Larva

I think Larva is in a good level now, you have to see his amateur matches vs flash, he really stands against him. He played bad on the ASL 5 tho

It is a kind of side-effect or bug caused by the map, behind some map engineering of starcraft.
First of all, the map is designed so players can't take the third/vacant main.
In order to do that, a special indestructible building (crystal formation) is placed on each start-location. Two occupied start-locations will remove the special building under it. By removing building unnaturally, the game allows(bug) to build buildings on the place where the special building used to be.

is it me or the marine rush would have worked if when the probes started to hit the marines he go back a little and destroy the probes? he just stuck there waiting for miracle. PLUS the marines being on low ground only have 50% chance hitting units on top, right?
I think even if that worked, Terran should kill all dragoons, because draoons will outrange bunkers. Two shield batteries didn't make it easy thing tho. So my conclusion is that marine rush was very likely to fail (of course, mainly because of the ramp, and the pylon on 3 o'clock that enables probe drill).

Broodwar is a sick alternative to II, but if they're using the Remastered client, they could spruce up the observer view. Production and what's in a shuttle would be nice.
you238 well I actually think there is something cool about *not* displaying the production tab! It adds an additional sense of suspense & excitement for the viewer to not know precisely what is happening (if that makes sense). Idk, it is nice to have the production tab and stuff for analyzing the match, but as a viewer I prefer not having it!

Completely disagree. Good suspense comes from what "what are they going to do" not "what are they currently doing." As an observer we should be able to observe every aspect of the game to appreciate the strategies each player has in mind, and the casters would use this information give the viewers a better idea of what the players have in mind.

The reason why the workers spawn above the base on transistor is because the mapmaker put a block where the workers would spawn, and for some reason the way Transistor's maker did it allowed the tiles under the CC to be buildable.
Addendum: The cause is a neutral khaydarin formation that also blocks the third spawn from being usable. Usually when mapmakers do it they use hallucinated units and hallucinated minerals slightly offset, so that it collides with the start location.
basically the map is modded its a usm (use map settings) map.
It's not a UMS. I do map making, and I've looked at the .scm for transistor. It's careful sprite placement, not triggers
oh well artosis and tastless said it was a UMS i think and that's the reason they could place it like that. I trust what Artosis says, tbh.

M1zzu q yeah that’s intentional. We don’t want a production tab or any of that. we prefer without it. They put it in for a while, and actually I think it’s an option you can enable but no one uses it. It’s better without it
Not what I meant. If you click on a production building (e.g. warpgate), the unit screen in the lower right should display what's in the production queue for that building (just like in the old UI). Currently it doesn't, and there's zero reason for that. For an example, see 1:22:13. These starports are definitely producing something (they are blinking), but we can't see what. Unit screen is empty.

"We" don't. If you want people to get interested in your 20 year old game (and I enjoy it) we like knowing what is going on.
Palevangelist a lot of brood war fans prefer it this way. For a while they did have all that info on screen but the overwhelming response was that we didn’t want it. I love not knowing everything thay is happening. Makes it much more exciting. It’s how brood war has always been done
