Ah yes, because millions of Americans are dying to see Mallorca vs Rayo Vallecano.
We all know the only matches that will be played in the USA are El Classico
Nah.
They’ll have Madrid but their away game at like Real Betis or some other mid table club
@@kalmenbarkin5708I think for the most part, but maybe in a year where there’s like 4 classicos maybe they’ll throw one in America

The Premier League wanted to do this too. They wanted to add an extra game to the season and have that game played elsewhere in the world. Everyone referred it simply as "Game 39"
Weren't the Fifa rules the reason Game 39 didn't happen? This puts it back on the table. We could have Rangers and Celtic games in Australia as well.
@@williamrennie9331 I think so. Supporters hated it as well.
@williamrennie9331 there was a reason it was mainly because of Scheduling issues if there's a tournament that starts /ends in may Eg UCL /UEL, world cup, confederations Cup, copa America, FA Cup ect it would put issues of on may 26th we play the FA Cup at Wembley then at may 30th we play the UCL final and on June 4th we play game 39.
@@williamrennie9331 what about a Rangers Celtic in Belfast or Dublin 🤯😂
This simply isn’t going to work out, I doubt there is going to be much of an audience outside of Spain for Grenada vs Athletic Bilbao
It won't work out because there is not a big Spanish community that lives outside of Spain.
If serie A held a match in Canada or the States especially in new York or New Jersey they would get the demand.
@@Micfri300actually NJ and NYC has a large Spain community. Especially NJ, there is a whole area in Newark filled with Spanish Tapas restaurants.

You could say the same about the Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany, but that’s happening.
I’m sure there’s more Americans that would follow Bilbao or Betis than Germans that follow the Panthers
La Liga is just trying to sell their biggest assets, the NFL is promoting their sport and league
Actually, while the NFL somewhat rotates teams, they've decided that the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the unofficial "London Home Team" for the league, and they regularly play one of the games over there every year, in order to give the English fans a regular team to root for
This is because their owner owns / owned Fulham and was the biggest supporter of the whole NFL London thing
Theyre eventually going to be putting an actual NFL franchise in London full time. Theyve been doing the ground work for years now.
@@keeranjaniThe Rams don’t always plan in London because Stan Kronke owns them and Arsenal. The Jaguars have bad attendance, and Shad Khan wanted to play in London every year, so they give up a home game every year. Last year they played in London twice, but played one game as the road team.
Football is ending, it is a money scheme
Always has been
Mark my words, one day it’s going to become like
Dream League Soccer.
(the game)
Tbh it’s just LaLiga doing this BS. Turkey already showed how overseas games don’t work so I doubt other leagues will follow suit. And Texas will probably be home in the next 3-5 years so good riddance to him.
World is ending my friend , enjoy the last decade
@@tomekkaminski2677it’s not ending but ok
Dont forget that all but 2 clubs in Spain's top 2 divisions keep voting for Tebas and his dumb policies. Huge respect for Real Madrid and Athletic Club for not being sellouts
Barcelona and .....?
As Betis fan it's because we're broke, even though the club has posted relative growth and a positive net spend in the transfer market we simply can't keep up and the gap keeps on widening (both within the league and in europe) so we'll desperately continue to look for ways to make additional money. We're also majority fan owned (55%) and the upgrades to the Villamarin have also impacted the accounts, meaning that we'll take every bit of money we can scrounge up to remain competitive unfortunately
But Real is Still BACKING the Super League so Technically they ARE Sellouts.
Real Madrid wants the Super League, so only Bilbao

There are already exceptions to the "must be played in the country" rule- Welsh teams in the English pyramid, FC Vaduz in the Swiss league, FC Andorra in the Spanish league.
All clubs you listed is protected by history. Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham, and Methyr Town have played in EFL before Cymru League even exist. FC Vaduz played in Swiss because the country's footballing structure is weak (plus Vaduz are forbidden to qualify in Europe through Swiss). For Andorra, they already some sort of regular on Spanish league structure, they even won Copa Catalunya back to back in 2022-2024.
And all of this example, referencing neighbouring nation's club playing in neighbouring nation's division. They still played in their ground, not like fans of Almeria have to travel to USA for home game against Celta Vigo.

Sounds like a Prince Andrew excuse to me…
Bundesliga is the new best league change my mind, Best fans, most fans, best stadiums, best talents, good in europe
Always has been the best.
The NFL plays WAY more than one match in London. My Eagles are playing in Brazil the first game of the season, FFS. There are also games in Germany now. I fully expect a game on Reunion Island at this point.
I think the will go to Spain soon
The new Inter Miami stadium will be ready in 2025, ready for the opening La Liga event.
In my opinion the only big 5 league that could pull off consistently playing a game in the USA is serie A due to the italo American community where you have a lot of napoli inter ac milan roma and juventus fans
This has got to be some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard tbh
The US has also many germans and spanish and french ...yeah no
no only laliga and premier league and for laliga only barca and madrid
Serie A has ZERO market penetration in the US. The only soccer league with any is the PL, and even then, it's the big 6 PL clubs that have that market penetration.
@jamesdulany2176 serie A has zero market in the US...lol paramount+ would disagree with that..
Plus have a look at italian football TV..
the owners elect tebas. tebas is a lawyer, his mandate is to increase la liga revenue and also keep the owners happy. he is a force keeping conflicting interests and he also seemingly mirrors this with his bizarre actions and statements. but likewise it has been the case with other figures such as perez, the whole mess at barca, fifa and uefa. truly its the ownership model in football that is messed up. the onwership and administration, it has turned into a very weird product whereby it is more valued as an asset then as a sport.
In regard to playing league ganes outside of the country it represents, I cah think of 2.5 examples. The most well known would be Wellington Phoenix of New Zealand playing the Australian A-League (soon to be joined by an Auckland team next season iirc. The other example would be Derry City from Dorie who is located in Northern Ireland but because Dorie is a political powder keg and several stadium bans (one actually live right now due to fans being slabheads) they play in the Republic of Ireland's League of Ireland. The othet example thats a maybe is that team from Haiti who has to play in the Dominican Republic but that was an international competition so its subjective if that counts.
Im from Dominican Republic, i never heard about that
There's also FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein who play in the Swiss Challenge League
@@salvadorhenriquez4091 Viollette FC I believe, the club that destroyed Austin FC in Round of 16 in Concacaf Champions League played their home at Dominican Republic temporarily.

honestly i dont hate the idea that much partly bc im an nba fan so i really enjoy when the nba does the nba paris or london or whatever but it feels like it could be el clasico or the madrid derby played in the us and not a game between alavas and valencia or some shit
Most people in London and Britain hate the idea that the NFL steals our stadiums without a British team being involved in the league. Just do friendlies abroad - big league or cup games!
Chocolates now, marathon later? How about you go for a run, *now*
Theres already a big football presence in America, this is just about greed and sponsorship money. whereas NFL in Europe is to promote the game.
Of all the films I watched when I was younger, I never imagined that the most prophetic storyline from any of them would be Baseketball. Sad times
Do not buy a season ticket for these clubs unless it includes any matches played on another continent, and the cost of flights to get there.
Another difference between the NFL and la liga is that the NFL is not only trying to expand its success, but it is also trying to introduce the sport as a whole to a broader audience
Whats next ? Ligue 1 matches in Qatar ? Its gonna be wild when other leagues will do it. At some point , they will throw that idea out there too. And of course champions league matches playing in other continents i think have been an idea but idk much of it.
bro i feel ya, my Rugby League team in Australia merged with another team years ago and no i have to travel up to an hour to see their home games when and still is a 4 minute walk to our home stadium which we only get allocated 4 home games at out of the season, sometimes less.
La Liga only gives money to the top three teams, of course they want to play games in the United States. But guess who won't be losing a home game? Those top teams that need the money from the gate.
Okay, but what do I have to do to get Greek soccer televised in the US?
They tried to do a English Premier League Match 39 a couple of seasons ago over in America, but had a backlash
It wasn't strictly in America all 20 PL teams where gonna play in different countries 1 match in USA, 1 in Germany, one in Spain, France, Wales, Scotland, Argentina, Australia, Portugal, Brazil. All 20 clubs would play 1 extra PL match.
You claim theyre greedy, yet have no chocolate turtles 🤨
big difference is there's no profession american football league in the uk/germany/brazil so nothing to compete with, this isn't fair to mls either
.....I'm 28 and the opening monologue made me feel so normal....hahahaha
At least playing in a stadium in america the match can have goal line technology
I, for one, am looking forward to the halftime shows.
Btw that thumbnail is ruthless
Maybe they'll finally be able to afford that goalline technology.
Play Fifa 15 La liga has goal line technology they need it for this incident Alan.
What's happening to La Liga basically happened to the Scottish League in the late 90s - early 00's......La Liga is finished, The only thing keeping that league from total failure is the amazing weather.
And real madrid winning the champions league again.
What amazing weather? They started to build roofs over their stadions to be able to control the weather :D
I love Tebas adventures

Whenever Zealand has a story on Javier Tabas - there should be a CNN or FOX like ‘Breaking News’ intro
If you want to be warm, you should go run!
There have to be plans for a London based nfl team eventually. Spurs have a natural grass field with the nfl logo that just lives under the football pitch.
In the early 2010’s, the Premier League floated the idea of adding a 39th game and playing that abroad. It did not go down at all well and hasn’t been discussed seriously since.
It will happen for real soon. The money being left on the table not doing it is simply too much.
Imagine Strasbourg and PSG games being played in Stuttgart
Hello Green Bay Packer owners here. These international games are a hit and miss. My beloved Packers will be playing the Eagles in Brazil and my city is heated about it. Our home game are so important to our small city we can’t afford to lose out on home games. Now the la liga.. they don’t have the motion they think they do in the states nobody is gonna go watch Getafe vs Mallorca in Atlanta no teams have any motion in the states be sides the Madrid teams, Barca, and maybe Bilbao. This is a dumb idea. Now if they prem did this it would slap because the prem is comparable to the NFL in popularity
The only way this feasibly works is to do it at the beginning or end of the season when the big clubs have been touring these places or right before the Spanish winter break.
Can you do a video on Indianapolis mayor announcing a potential MLS team while backing out of a stadium deal with the local USL team Indy Eleven?
Hit the weight room Z-man, and forget about the damn marathon.
As an NYCFC fan, give me El Clasico in a baseball stadium you cowards!
As a NYRB fan, I agree with the statement.
La Liga are just desperate, financially they've fallen behind the Premier League, and are desperate to claw it back by any means necessary, that's why Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta (especially Laporta, Barca are struggling financially) really wanted the Super League, but the English clubs wouldn't join (the fan backlash the first time turned them off) which made the whole venture a bit pointless
Perez announced today essentially a 50+1 plan for Real Madrid which is a good sign
Tampa Bay Bucs playing in Germany was incredible to watch as a bucs fan, but that was only because of the german fans. They were insane. Made us in America look boring as hell (yes, we are)
Remember game 39?
I think the FA once considered playing the Community Shield in the US after a rose bowl game between Liverpool and United went really well, but i might be wrong
Tebas in this picture looks way too much like Hector Salamanca from Breaking Bad
Will this extra revenue provide the goal line technology? 😂 😂
One of the south american leagues was exploring exporting matches abroad not a european league. though now i think the middle east may nab some serie A
The Argentinian league played some super cups in Saudi Arabia, and yeah it sucks
The NFL has been sending the Jacksonville Jaguars for the Europe games every year because they can't sell out their home field in Jacksonville but they can over there.
If I had to pick a place, it would be Boise, ID for a Bilbao game. There is a sizable Basque population up there.
Of course, this is a hypothetical in which the Spanish league gets its way, but I don't want this at all.
Nobody talking about the thumbnail? "United in racism"
The Investors Deal falling through, i think fans have a say in this, if they want to mobilize against it.
You should vlog the marathon training, get a go pro strapped to your chest and let us see how you get one, from start of the training to the finish of the marathon
Xavier is just seeking attention at this point
Maybe this extra revenue could help them afford goal-line technology.
I think the middle ground would be to always host the expanded club world in the US but have FIFA kick some prize money to the league of the nations rhat have qualified teams at the tournament.
Z, how is your marathon training?
Pretty beautiful picture on the thumbnail: "United in racism".
Well if it's Real Madrid vs Barcelona then it's going to be huge, but if it's Girona vs Sevilla, I don't think they'll fill the stadium.
Think about it this way, if it’s successful they will be able to afford goal line technology
Anyone one else notice the writing behind him says "United Racism" in the thumbnail? hahaha
Maybe they can use that extra money to buy goalline technology x)
gotta eat more chocolate turtles brother
I mean, if Tebas ifms not going to install goal line technology, then he may as well scrap VAR and not bother with any of those. All in or all out.
Nobody better pretend to be shocked when the Premier League does this same thing soon.
There are more fans of the league outside of England than inside England, and theyll make far more money abroad.
The future of football is global.
Its like NFL playing some low-stakes league matches in Europe. Dolphins vs Vikings. Its only to promote the sport.
Naive
I mean as long as a team would t have to do it more than once a season, I don’t see it as a bad thing. Only problem is it would probably work better with the premier league but I could be wrong.
Premier league did float this and got massive pushback from the clubs if u remember correctly
At least he admitted child corn is bad, can't even assume that, look at Germany making it a misdemeanor
Feel like La Liga is going to go the way of Serie A. They need someone who makes better decisions. If it weren't for Real they'd be in the same state
Thumbnail saying "United in racism" 😂
This would’ve made sense a little bit if they did this from 2015-2018, you know when Messi and Ronaldo were at their peak, and playing in La Liga. But I literally see no reason to do this.
Tebas makes me feel better about Bettman and Goodell.
Disappointed Z changed the light color from green to blue lately. It just made so much sense to use the green lights for this channel, especially considering the channel logo is green.
I can’t believe La liga wanna give fans a chance to watch their favorite teams. How dare the fans want to be happy.
host your games on antarctica for the penguins!
All this money they getting and they still can't afford goal line technology
He thinks La Liga is a casual joke league where people only go for a weekend event like the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.
Tebas gives vilan vibes.. Like Penguin
What a fun decision it will be, which of the both Clasico home games will miss out. Bernabeu or Camp Nou? LOL
Run.
KEEPS help this man please
With goal line tech comes the prospect of loosing out on “donations” from the big clubs.
As an American who would love to be able to go to La Liga games in person, I still think this is a terrible idea and goes against the spirit of the sport.
When the pic on the thumbnail says 'United in Racism'...
