Gracias por servir a la comunidad
Looks fantastic🎉
No my man thank's for this video Bless you all
Awesome! Thank YoU!
amazing
Thank you
I’m glad they didn’t do the portion that’s exposed outside.. good shit!
Exelente trabajo
Thank you for this. What brand model sander is that at 01:52, the handheld one, and what sanding disks to use?
Can this be done on concave Floors like in a laundry room where there is a slight slope to the drain in the middle?
Yes
How long do i wait to add clear coat after done spreading the epoxy
Very good is Work! 👍🇷🇺
So how much did it all cost you?
Why do you have to apply epoxy within a few days on grinded floor ? why can't I wait longer , I am grinding my floor in 2 sections
Looks great, unlike what it took your bank account for 👍
What kind of epoxy and clear coat are you using that you guys don’t need a mask protector .? Also one day job it’s amazing. How much flakes you need for a full flakes job for a 2 car garage .? It’s the background color really important for a full flake job or this epoxy comes already tinted .? Do you think one coat of epoxy it’s enough .? How many years will last .?
Epoxy is typically 100%solids meaning no V.O.Cs. the clear coat would have needed a respirator tho
How do you get that plastic around the roller to keep it from ruining it
Una pregunta buenos dias y q material recomienda para hacer ese trabajo en mi garaje se lo agradeseria gracias
How many liters do you need for what you made?
What is the best company to buy the flakes from
How long did it take them?
Hello. I just had my Pergola floor epoxy flaked in brown and sealed with clear resin epoxy. I'm assuming my flaked floor can be recoated with the same epoxy material in the future. If so, my question is after a few years, to keep this epoxy looking like new, can you re-apply more of the same epoxy on top of the flake again? If so, do you just clean and wash with soap and water or do you require a self-etching and or a bonding layer before applying the epoxy to make sure it sticks. Thx
After 24 hours after the first layer is poured it’s not wise to pour again without scuffing the surface of the epoxy.
Is that stonewash flake pattern?
Very good video. What is the product name and brand? My garage has 2 year of use and does not have any paint. Is necessary the firt step (the big machine)? I hope you can answer me.
Hello. I don’t know the product name but I think they said they use an “in-house” epoxy product. I believe the big machine is only necessary to remove the old layer of paint / epoxy. If you don’t have an old layer, I don’t think the big machine is required.
@@JoshPostVlogs Also if your concrete has pits or just needs to be resurfaced due to salt damage.
hi this is dark grey mixed flake?
Better to add less flakes too much can not be taken back , that also depends on the customers liking
What kind of scraper is that?
After sanding the concrete floor is it ok To apply epoxy degreasing and etching? Or should I apply moisture sealer or some sealer like primer before applying epoxy?
If you feel floor needs 2 b degreased then I say do it its definitely a safe option but I would highly suggest priming the floor before laying epoxy coat 2 b safe & 2 sealer coats afterwards for better durability
@@ernztopp1360 thanks a lot for the reply. I am looking for light grey or off white coat and finish with stains like a marble like finish and glossy. Which product you recommend. Rustoleum has standard grey and tan only.
@@gmanikandan20Xtremepolishing systems has amazing products
They are literally taking the entire top layer of the existing floor right off. These guys are professionals. If you're using one of those Home Depot DIY kits you wouldn't be using that big sander. The whole point of sanding the floor like that is so they don't need to worry about a chemical degreaser or an acid etch. That sander also allows them to work much quicker whereas a degreaser and acid etch you have to wait to work. Those guys sanded the existing floor off in probably about 25-30 minutes and were then ready to epoxy.
Looks great! What were the guys names who did it?
Thanks for watching. I don’t remember the specific names of the guys since it was awhile ago but I know the company was garagefloors1day out of Irvine, CA.
How many pounds of flake did you use?
Turned out great! Did this company charge a deposit before putting down a floor like this?
Can we just use the roller without the squeegee when we put the epoxy
No it is to push the mass around than roller is to level the ridges roller levels it all out flat
Yes
Very nice job, Were i get thos shoes?
Footlocker
were ?
Track and field or your nearest golf shop
👍👍👍👍👍
Damn i would love to do this for my garage but i got gym equipment machine in there. I can’t let that outside of my garage for 3 days lol
I have everything from my garage outside right now, Tarped over and just checked yesterday, all still dry.
Looks great ! What's something like this cost ?
I'm getting a quote for a polyurea/polyaspartic coating this week. I've read online that it's around $6-7 per square foot. Epoxy is usually cheaper.
$6000
Cadê a máscara?!?
Mi estimado... Un excelente pero execelente trabajo.
Soy de México donde puedo comprar el material ?
What is the total cost for materials
Have a professional do it.. you’d have to buy degreaser and the wash the floor. Rent the grinder. Epoxy paint will run $70-100 per gallon. The chips can be very pricey for a full flake finish. And then a couple hundred for clear coat.
10 years ago I spent $1100-1200 on materials alone. Better off hiring a pro for the extra charge. It’s worth it.
So they don't go all the way to the edge with the grinder? That's where the floor is going to fail.
Trash
I’m not sold. Where’s the primer?
How much that cost?
Скажите пожалуйста из чего эти хлопья?
What state pls
cost?
What colour was that grey?
This particular company has color names that they make up in house. I’m not sure if you are thinking of using them specifically but they called the color “Bulldog Newport”. The company is Garage Floor 1 Day in Irvine, California. You can check their website also for all the color options.
What does something like that cost?
Depending on the size of garage, it could be between $2k and $3k. Also depends on several factors; if it’s just cement with little prep needed, it could be on lower end. Ours was 3 car garage and needed to remove old epoxy floor so it was on higher end.
Can you tell what you paid? Whats your square footage and what was the cost per square foot (and what is your closest major city area)? I'm near Des Moines and just got quoted a price of $6 per square foot (February 2023). Thanks!
@@ericracz4230 $6 is probably the market price for this. Thats typically what I charge, between 5-8ft and land around 6 unless there are bigger concerns that raise the price higher to 7 or 8
Wow didn’t know this was this much having a bro in-law that knows 400 bucks and I buy materials.
@@owenblake90 Geez that’s insane money. I guess it grows on trees up in NY….
how much would something like this cost for a 2 car garage?
I think between $2k to $3k - Depending on prices in your area.
How is the floor after 7months?
Excellent. Just like new still. Seems good quality.
@@JoshPostVlogs what did they charge sqft? thanks for your response!
We had our indoor pool deck done about 7 months ago but not by these guys. Our floor is looking really dirty despite cleaning it multiple times with just water., then dawn and now ammonia. We only walk on it no driving. Is there a way to clean it to make it look good or is there something else that needs done. Thank you
How many pounds of flake did you use?
That is not an orbital sander that is a planetary grinder with diamond tooling
What is the price to do something like this
It will depend on size of the garage and also differs by location but around $2k.
I bet they charge 15-20 per sqft that’s awesome
you can definitely make some good money doing this.
You are smoking if you think someone would charge that much for an epoxy floor. People don’t even charge that much for polyaspartic.
My company charges $5 a square foot for polyspartic
@@Impulze90charge more money bro. Holy shit. We are almost triple that
@@lawncaretoamillion trust me bro, I’ve tried to push that already. I completely agree it’s far too cheap.
How many pounds of Flakes are used??
How many pounds of flake did you use?
Did you do this in one day
Yes. All in one day.
@@JoshPostVlogs how do I order bulldog material? Website doesn't have shop links
I did this for 3 years and disagree with alot of what they did here
Why ? Just curious ? No acid etch ?
How it cost you
Wear a respirator
I guarantee that those corners are already failing
Nope
Sorry but I think it looked better WITHOUT those flakes !
Terrible job they left 4 inches of old paint on floor
It's good if you don't work on your cars I did epoxy chips on my garage it was waste of money
Why it rips it off?
You did a poor job lol
If you don’t mención the products you used
Then we are in nothing

One day epoxy never last long 🤥
Wich is the correct application?
@@alfredguevara19 long rant lol
Grind concrete or shot blast
apply moisture barrier primer coat
going to cost you a good amount but its going to last
apply a top coat epoxy with flakes
apply a poly or just a regualr clear coat just keep in mind might yellow but honestly even with poly after a lot of years the sun eats everything but you wont have chipping, the big issues with coating installation imo is that moisture are always so random ive tested one area and it passes you go down and it fails go down more and it passes and the issue is your sealing the concrete completely with the epoxy so the concrete can no longer breath so when the barrier isnt their it rips thru the epoxy and overtime fails, that and no sanding/shot-blasting a lot people pressure wash acid etch but its a 50/50 your epoxy will last
