IDK if it's available everywhere, but you can buy giant rattle cans of the Rustoleum enamel that have a 12" spray pattern. Might be worth it to avoid the cleanup of oil-based in your sprayer

You could have put your trailer all the way back on the frame and used the frames hitch to tow it with no hangover. next time

There is a product called paint over rust. Would have saved you so much time. Or what is called implement paint which is a heavy duty paint used on farm equipment. In some cases much cheaper than the paint you are using. Tractor Supply
