- It’s been a long time coming, I finally decided to put my Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition on the dyno to see what the V10 power plant has in it, and it laid down a best of 531 WHP & 370Lb/Tq

531 whp means it is making 610 - 620 HP at the crank when SAE corrrection factors are applied. At 563 HP factory claim, it is massively underrated from factory.
Not all dynos read the same. If you look at the huge influx of c8 dyno posts from its launch you'll see over a 200hp range from ppls posts of stock C8's.
@@stgdante4324 Do the math. 17% drivetrain loss is minimum for front engine/rear wheel drive cars. There is no way a 563 CHP car would make more than 470 - 475 whp on a dyno. Mid engine/RWD cars have far less drivetrain loss because there is no driveshaft. Less than 12 - 13% like FWD cars. That is why C8 dynos higher than expected.

@@stgdante4324 It does not matter what is going on with C8. MotorTrend got 425 whp from the C8. I am not talking about that. It is all about THIS dyno. I am simply saying, it is making way more than what a typical 563 HP front engine RWD car makes to the rear wheels. It is north of 600+ HP for sure.
It shifted on that pull so there's a spike at the end. 51x is what it really made like the pull before.

@@MM-su4gu They do, the old 5.0s sound much nicer than the newer Audi influenced 5.2s. They have that deep-chested howl that just sounds amazing. But the wail of the LFA... unbeatable tbh.

In reality, makes ~ 620 HP from only a 4.8 Liter V10 @ 9700 rpm while Lexus factory claim is 563 HP@9000 rpm. No wonder it ran a 7:14 around the Nürburgring with "only" 563 HP LOL
That's why I love Japanese car makers, they don't inflate the numbers like the Italians do.

Dude, if you find a 400k buck LFA, the seller is the greatest pigeon ever, or the car is totaled. because now, they are more around 800/900K than 400 xD

at 400k they lost money on every car they sold, building such cars doesn't pay.
@Frank I'm very sorry to say that but you don't know what you are saying, the m5 and m3 powertrain is off the shelf ordinary parts. The LFA is bespoke for the most part and engineering proper powertrains isn't cheap.
