The blond guitarist is Richie Faulkner. He joined Judas Priest in 2011 replacing founding Priest guitarist K.K. Downing... Faulkner is the youngest member of Judas Priest at age 44.
Current touring guitarist (and producer) Andy Sneap is 54... Rob Halford (vocals) and Ian Hill (bass) are both age 72... Scott Travis (drums) is 62... Glenn Tipton (guitar) who retired from touring in 2018 is 76.
Judas Priest are currently touring Europe... playing festivals between June/ July 2024 (Sorry, no UK shows)
'Diamonds and rust' was a folk song by Joan Baez... Judas Priest made a heavy metal version of the song in 1977 on their 3rd album 'Sin after sin' ( A live version was released on the 1979 live album 'Unleashed in the East') as well as the concert video "Live vengeance '82".
When Tim 'Ripper' Owens (vocals) replaced Rob Halford in 1997, Judas Priest started performing an acoustic version of 'Diamonds and rust' (included in 2 live CD's - "Live meltdown '98" and "Live in London" in 2002)
Rob Halford reunited w/ Judas Priest and performed the acoustic version as well... This clip was recorded on the band's 2011 'Epitaph' tour after Richie Faulkner (guitar) joined the band and is still actively recording & touring w/ them.

You can‘t have more Bob Dylan in a song without saying his name:
Judas Priest is named after Dylan‘s song “The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest”, the song Diamonds and Rust is written by Joan Baez about Bob Dylan when their relationship broke up.

Ian Hill is definitely a metal bassist you should pay attention to. He's been in that exact spot for 50 years and has held down the bottom end like a champ with his tasteful playing.

My favourite Judas Priest song is the Green Manalishi. It was the last song they played when inducted to the Rock n Roll hall of fame that brought the house down. Breaking the Law always makes me laugh and grin for some reason. I play it when my nephews are being little sh*ts and they love it. Its been used in a lot of comedy movies too.

Please check out the version from their live album Unleashed In The East. There's no live footage of that performance as far as I know, so check it out on your own time rather than in a reaction...watching a photo of an album cover would be a bit boring haha! Cheers!

I saw them about a month ago - and it was EPIC!
They were my first concert in 1981.
You should check out a band called Jelusick - "Reign of Vultures" is a good start, but anything from them is great

Yeah Judas Priest have so many good bass guitar lines! Indeed there's some songs that the bass is the main star of the song like "The Rage", "Revolution", "Rocka Rolla" and "Victim of Changes".

If you like the guitarist, Richie Faulkner, you must react to "Judas Priest - You've Got Another Thing Coming (from Epitaph)", with an epic guitar solo. In addition, he suffered an aortic aneurysm in a live show two years ago. Inexplicably, and thank goodness, he survived.

Cool review ))) This is a cool version but I prefer the 79 version from their Unleashed In The East live version... Another recommend BEYOND THE REALMS OF DEATH . That song was my go to song if I was having a bad day)))). It was their Stained Class album in 1977 ...I highly suggest that one)))As a bonus it has 2 guitar solos)))

Richie Faulkner is the guy you're looking for and if you're ondering if they still tour... yeah. They released new album in march of this year, so they are on tour right now :)) If I may, I recommend to check Panic Attack, Invincible Shield, Serpent and the King or Gates of Hell from that album and No Surrender from the previous one called Firepower released in 2018. ENJOY (I know you will).

Priest tickets are not as expensive as you might think. I think the tour they did over here in May tickets started around £55. There were more expensive seats, but who pays for seats to a metal gig unless you have some kind of physical disability.

When you go to a Judas Priest concert, you know the older songs are expected to have audience participation.
They are still touring. Glenn Tipton, the lead guitarist, has Parkinson's disease, and they had to hire another guitarist to take his place. Judas Priest finds ways for him to be included.
