That's amazing to hear your daughter's history with learning Italian!

She amazes me everyday with her vocabulary 😲. She watches Italian CZcamsrs, no English TV!! Plus she's picked up French and Latin well which I think is connected to the Italian knowledge 😍🇮🇹

I think it is amazing that your daughter is fluent in Italian. I am sure that will serve her well in her life. Open lots of opportunities for her.
I understand about not wanting to go vertical with the shelves. I was just thinking that it might give some treasures a home and help keep things off of the floor.
I wish I was good with plants, I am trying to keep three house plants alive and that is about all I can manage.
I am working on my garden this year, taking out some plants and rearranging. When we moved in 17 years ago, I just put in a bunch of plants that I thought looked pretty and now they have gone wild! I sit out in my garden swing and try to visualize what I want it to look like. Slowly but surely it will happen!
Enjoying your videos. I have commented before but not sure that I included that I am from Ohio. Have a good day!

I think most house plants need less care than we think.... there are a few drama queens though.... not too much water, but not too little, not direct light but not too dark....
Your garden sounds nice and it sounds relaxing to sit and plan how you want your garden to be 🌿😍. Thanks for your comment Lisa from Ohio.

After you mentioned recently in a comment that your lounge used to be your dining room, it makes sense that your dishes are in there.

Brilliant solution to store the empty pots in the wood boxes in the shed!🙌🏻 Also, this big sort out allows you to just use your prettiest ceramic pots for display inside while the ordinary plastic ones can be just for starting seeds in your greenhouse.👍

You have a beautiful garden ! I am so happy that you don't use pesticides. I don't either. The previous owner did, and now we have loads of weeds because I refuse to use them, but weeds to me are just misplaced plants and flowers. None of them harm what I am growing. In fact, I turned some " weeds" into a meal tonight of nettle pasta! Lovely to see your garden. Mealy bugs are not good, and so I would have taken it out and far away as soon as possible. Good video on your houseplants and cleaning. xox 24 degrees in the Far North of the Highlands today !

Hi Emma- I think your garden is beautiful. I like gardens that are a tad overgrown and they remind me of growing up in the countryside where fields were full of wildflowers. I'm fortunate to have many trees around my house so I can enjoy the greenery, which I do every day. I think it's great that you started your daughter learning Italian so young. Lots of kids grow up speaking two languages and they do very well with them. Your plant arrangement looks great! Good luck with your workshop. 😊🐦

Loving your videos ! Our homes are a constant project , supporting each other is lovely ! Thank goodness for the internet, it’s brought like wise beings together like friends . Totally agree with the early learning of language...... we have family where the parents are English and German ..... from birth they’ve spoke to their little girl each in their own language. Now 4 yrs old and she’s fluent in both 😁. Keep up the good work . Sending love from the North of England 💐

Hi Emma, Fantastic work in both your lounge and garden well done, and yes, your garden looks great. I do think you do have a lot of things, and you still need to get rid of lots more, but it will take time, Rome wasn't built in a day! Why don't you say to your husband and daughter that you want to have let's call it a clear out weekend. Get together as many boxes and bags as you can, give one to your daughter and one to your husband to start with, and tell them to fill it up with things to get rid of. I think if you sell it to your husband and to your daughter as a game, I'm sure there will be things in the boxes and bags at the end. When their box is full, give them each a bag and just see what happens. Maybe a small treat at the end for your daughter just to encourage her to think - do i really need everything in my room and play room. Just a thought, set a date for the weekend. Don't put it off this weekend is a bank holiday, so hey, ho, you have an extra day off to fit this in. I'm sure your daughter will love this challenge and find it lots of fun!. The other thing is why don't you turn the play room into a nice spare bedroom and tell your daughter her toys have to all go in her bedroom that way she will have to get rid of alot of things after all there are lots of toys for one child. I hope these suggestions help you, Emma. Lots of love have a lovely bank holiday. X ❤

I misspoke, I believe that they are swan planters, not geese. When you were enjoying your lunch, it was to your left.
I quite like a wilder garden. On Sunday my mother-in-law sent me a picture of our yard from Missouri. We had purchased several rose bushes that were labeled as shrubs that ended up being climbers. I liked to let some of the branches be free instead of tying them all up to the trellis.
Your plant window looks so beautiful! Could you show us what it looks like straight on so we can see everything at once?
It looks like your husband has been tidying up his crafts. I was a bit confused about what he's doing. Could you share about his games?
I do hope that when you make elderberry syrup or wine, that we get to watch! We have plums, choke cherries and mulberries which will be ready to eat or make into juice or jam soon.
I am unsure of what your library system is like there. Here in America we have the Libby app through our public library system that allows you to listen to audiobooks. I listen to most of my books this way.
I think it's wonderful how your daughter and her friend can use their imagination. My oldest nephew is visiting Japan now!

Great job with the houseplants! Mealy bug is such a pain. Just looking at your freshened-up window area in the lounge makes me wonder if you might consider trying the TV on the glass table and removing the wooden lattice box…..might be a reason why that wouldn’t work but it would open things up even more, and remove a flat surface which tends to attract things. Goof for you reaching a decision on the invigilating - it’s never worth spreading yourself too thinly.

    • @lauramitchell6725
      @lauramitchell6725 Před 3 měsíci +1

I was thinking the same about the TV and the glass table because of the similar size and shape! ( On camera it looks like it’s teetering on a little box but maybe it’s better in real life🤭)

It made me think when we were cleaning out my late aunties things, there was a lot of sentimental items such as greeting cards, her husband just said to get rid! Just shows that those things mean hard work when you’ve gone & of course you can’t take them with you.
