Cody Rhodes needs the same energy now.
It did, and it worked
Fkn crybabies.
Y’all going to kill that shit as soon he wins that belt let that shit backfire
Cody isnt half the champion or man

Still one of the best stories told by WWE in the PG era... The organic nature of it all just made this so much easier to invest in.
But behind the scenes with Vince McMahon: I don't even know why everybody likes this guy so much he's not Brock Lesnar he's not big and strong. Ugh give him the championship and then he can drop it in two months
@@attiepollard7847 Vince's thought process needs to be studied by science. In an industry who's foundation is literally fan service, this guy managed for 40 years to totally shit on the very people who continued to show up in droves to support his business and he got away with it. FOR 40 YEARS. Maybe we all need to be examined? LOL
@@FloridaManRacer people always say this, but he's been behind the best storylines in wrestling history...
@@handleunavailable I don't deny that one bit. All I'm saying is in most businesses, if you piss off your customer base as much as he willingly did for 40 years, the business is out of business lol.
Still doesn't make it good.
Mark Henry just thinking, "F*ck it." and raising Daniel Bryan's arm during the ceremony was a classic moment that's still smile-inducing to this day.
Bryan's Wrestlemania XXX adventure genuinely had my friends and I on the edge of our seats. It really felt like being Charlie Brown, just waiting for the football to be pulled away at the last second. And both of his matches were booked perfectly.
Between that and the Heist of the Century the following year, it was a good couple of years for Mania main events. But Bryan takes the (made with wholesome, vegan ingredients) cake
But that WrestleMania 30 match was to damn obvious. It should have just been on one-on-one match with Randy Orton instead of bringing in Batista after third guy..
@@attiepollard7847 it’s what happened after Vince and Executives shot themselves in the foot having Batista return and face Orton but not a single person wanted that. Causing The crew to last second change course and have Bryan challenge the members (minus Flair) of Evolution for the Title.
And then 7 years later he mainevented again because of his utter awesomeness
This was when Daniel Bryan finally got main event spotlight at WrestleMania because of fans . Not to mention CM Punk leaving the company also played bigger role . This was one of few moments Vince listened to fans
That WrestleMania 30 match was just too obvious to predict. They could have just kept it between him and Randy Orton..
@@attiepollard7847 shut up geek
And WWE will still continue to say that it was always the plan for Bryan to get his crowning moment at Wrestlemania. If that was the case, then they wouldn't have gave Big Show the "Yes" chants and Batista the Royal Rumble.
But don't you think it was just too obvious for him to win that match at WrestleMania 30? Why not just keep the match as unpredictable as possible. Do not have him go up against triple h in The opening match
They already have a Yes Movement documentary explicitly stating that the plan for Bryan was a midcard Sheamus match _until_ that whiner Punk quit and it became apparent that Batista was getting booed.
WWE has dropped the ball on a lot of stuff, but the Yes Movement was one of the things where they took their real life drama and made it into a powerful storytelling moment and put up the fan favorite.
Pity Bryan's injuries caught up with him after that.
Does Jack write these himself? These are written excellently.
Mmmmmhmmm mmmm mummmm
this is still my favourite story WWE has ever told, regardless of whether it was intended or not.
As a huge Michigan State fan I love that they helped with Daniel Bryan’s push
It always blows my mind how much Vince despised the fans and what they want. “I’ll tell you want you want, pal”
True but don't you think they could have made it a little bit more unpredictable to the point where the fans wouldn't even predict him winning the championship? They should have copied what they did with Chris Benoit WrestleMania 20 because lots of the fans did not predict he was going to win the championship.
@@attiepollard7847 I was 9 when the Benoit push happened and predicted it. He was being screwed since before the Rumble. He had to win at Mania.
Didn't stop it being my favourite wrestling moment.
*What makes this so great is that none of this was ever supposed to happen but that just proves that sometimes in life accidents can be blessings in disguise. Words can’t explain how 14-year-old me was so invested in Daniel Bryan’s road to WrestleMania 30 which is definitely one of the greatest storylines of the last decade in WWE. Even I was one of those people who was furious when he wasn’t in the 2014 Royal Rumble (when he should have and won it as well). I remember just literally losing my shit when he finally achieved the big one at ‘Mania. It’s without question one of the best feel-good moments in wrestling history because this was something that the fans actually wanted. It really sucks that he had to relinquish the world title after two months due to his injury.*
He's one of the very best technical wrestlers I've seen perform.
LOL
Idk why people say that all the time. He’s really not even top 5..
I still get chills when the crowds started the yes chants. I was going through a lot at the time and needed those yes chants and I found myself doing everyone I go as motivation extremely underrated.yes yes yes
because you’re a little PG kid that’s why. I am so glad that I grew up with
The Attitude era and ruthless Aggression era.
I was so disappointed when they made the Daniel Bryan storyline in 2014.
When Batista won the royal rumble he was supposed to face Orton at Wrestlemania and he was supposed win the WWE world heavyweight championship
And then we would have a rivalry
Between Batista and Brock lesnar at Summerslam
Imagine the promos and matches.
But these PG kids wanted daniel Bryan so much that Vince had no choice but change the plans. So we got a boring daniel Bryan story
His title reigns were also so horrible due to his injuries all the time so it was all nonsense
I still think it would be better if we had
Batista winning at Mania main event and then have a storyline with Brock lesnar.
True OG ruthless Aggression and Attitude era Fans would agree with my comment
@@elmaz46 get out of the past grandpa nobody cares anymore! And I actually love the attitude era but give it up bruh it’s bout that time, It’s wrestling the Daniel Bryan story line was amazing you see the amount of support he was getting nobody else but you and probably a few other 45 year old attitude era fiends feel that it was boring get yo ass on
4:10 "And while some of Bryan's other peers in group therapy later found the strength to reach for the sky."
I see what you did there.

Yes Movement and Kofimania, where ironically Bryan was the one to put over Kofi are my 2 favorite wrestlemania moments ever. I knew Kofi would be put over due to it being Bryan, but Bryan getting the belt I didn't trust so that was the bigger surprise out of the two, both amazing moments though in their own way.
Yeah kofimania is my favorite story of last 10 years. I think the involvement of Vince made the difference in two of them. No matter what Vince is one of the best heels ever.
I would love to see a True Story of the Crush Gals. They were more over in Japan than Hogan was in the U.S., and they were incredibly influential on future wrestling styles for both men and women, yet most western fans have never heard of them.
That's why he hasn't done one on them. Hell most westerners only have heard of Jumping Bomb Angels from that time.
Yeah, they were a legit top drawers for AJW. This created the school girl fangirling boom. But unfortunately the then "you must retire at the age of 25" policy was just dumb and the management of AJW realize this policy and later removed it in the late 80s.
This storyline is what made me fall in love with wrestling
This video took me down a rabbit hole of watching back all the main moments involving his story in 2014. Marvelous
Bryan Danielson is just simply fantastic. Absolutely dread the day he retires
Loved this! A really comprehensive take on it. Well done to all involved.
I liked how they explained in storyline that Jerry The King Lawler helped Daniel Bryan Occupy Raw in Memphis using his hometown connection
It's a finish to a wrestlemania that always brings the goosebumps. From the ring invasion, all the way through, it was definitely good for business (sic). Both matches with BD/DB with Triple H and then Orton and Batista, are excellent storytelling and very much worth a full re-watch.
Thank you!
I kind of forgot it's what an amazing ride it was. One of those few moments that wrestling gave me legit goosebumps of excitement and happiness.
🍻
Such a great series!
Such a great channel!
Thanks ahead of time, Jack. I know it’s going to be excellent!
I was in Providence for the Bryan YES chants in the cage. That building was shaking beneath our feet with each YES.
Wwe did EVERYTHING it could to make us stop wanting to cheer Bryan. We forced them to change their plans. Bryan said it best:
“They don’t have the power, WE HAVE THE POWER!!!!!!!!”
it's interesting how the guys the fans want to cheer versus the guys the company wants us to cheer are completely the opposite. especially nowadays. 'Roman Reigns sucks, he's been over for years, give us someone new' 'DID I HEAR YOU WANT MORE ROMAN REIGNS?!'
@@woobgamer5210 That was more of Vince being adamant in his refusal to do what the fans wanted...a "universe" he had grown to really despise.
And the minute he got his belt he fell of and thd movement died
@@lj-jf2xt False none of that you said is true in the slightest.
@@PrizeJ tye injury fucked him and set him back for quite a while. Before he returned and the title reign wasn't anything to praise either after he actually won the gold wat was there to be excited for the struggle was over , he got injured and at the time the people moved on
This story and the bloodline story are probably my favorite stories in wwe
I would have to say Daniel Bryan was true lightning in a bottle that was something rare in wrestling where a guy is more over with one word then the top guys are with their titles.
Well done, great video. Nicely narrated by Jack. Good s**t! More of this please.
What made me start to see some true good in HHH was being the heel getting bryan over in the yes movement. HHH slowly started understanding the fans. Dont get me wrong he aint perfect. But he has good in there.
Ok that sounds corny now that im done writing this comment BUT YOU GET WHAT I MEAN!
the higher ups tried there absolute hardest to bury Daniel bryan lol. This time of WWE was amazing.
And now there’s the YEAH movement
God this feels like forever ago now, almost like a dream.
Once again beautifully done
Thank for The Story Video and Thank for Shining My Day ❤️👌❤️👌❤️👌❤️👌
I certainly didn't get what I wanted during WM 30, Brock killed Taker's streak!!!!!! I'm still pissed about this one.
I didn't even see Bryan vs orton vs Batista because I switched off TV after Taker's match.
Scorpio Sky as Harold 😂
Always love these shows
before WM30 the average fan couldn’t remember Daniel Bryan even if they tried, and once the yes movement ended the average fan couldn’t remember he existed still. This is one of those times a wrestler was over with the crowd but undeserving of winning the title.
The best underdog story of ALL time! And nothing comes close
rey mysterio wrestlemania 22?
Bro u are an amazing storyteller
Fast track to 2022 it’s Chris “lionheart” Jericho vs Daniel “ American Dragon” Brianson
This video was awesome can you do one like this for Kofimainia
The greatest baby face!
Time is a flat circle. Here we are again with Cody Rhodes and The Rock this time.
Enjoyed this time period for sure
Imagine how good WWE could have been in the 2010s if they simply just listened to the fans with so much star power they had back then.
His ROH match series with Nigel McGuiness to me are STILL some of the best American Pro Wrestling matches ever . Damn i miss Nigel !!!!! Please go out of your way to watch these if your a fan of Bryan . And since Tony Kahn is buying rights to music .....!!!!! The FINAL COUNTDOWN !!!!!!!!! To me that will ALWAYS be HIS music to the ring !!!! So epic when the crowd sang along !!!!! Im surprised thi hasnt happened yet ! CMON TONY !!!!
One of my favorites time
I never knew that’s how he started the Yes chants. Also, I knew that guy looked like Scorpio Sky.
Ultimately, Daniel Bryan's night at WrestleMania XXX ended up being what it was due to the three key reasons:
1. Batista failed push & Royal Rumble win
2. CM Punk's walkout
3. Daniel Bryan popularity increasing more and more as weeks and months went on
CM Punk's walkout is important here not just because original plans had Triple H vs CM Punk. CM Punk's walkout is also important here because the only person in the WWE, at that point, that the fans would have accepted as walking out WMXXX as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was CM Punk. Then again, there was the end of the Streak so that main event of Punk/Orton/Batista probably would not have brought the fans back into that show the way Bryan/Orton/Batista did.
Fan from Lansing Mi here. What City is that when the spartan logo is up? It isn't us lol
Let’s do this for Cody
Greatest story in WWE besides the The undertaker vs Triple H saga
I heard the Authority didn’t want him as champion
The hottest star since the attitude era. I’ve been watching wrestling for almost 20 years and I’ve never seen anything quite like Daniel Bryan in 2013-14. He controlled every arena he was in to the levels of Austin or Rock but he did it his own way and organically.
he was only over by the smarks. He failed as champion in ratings
“I’m a monster, monster and it keeps getting stronger.” - Imagine Dragons
Great video
Cody’s next🙏🏽
The closest to a Mr. Rogers of professional wrestling I think we’ll ever have.
The fiend?
miss bryan danielson younger brother daniel bryan his yes chant is bigger than anything
Listening to it like this, it reminds me of the "Snyder-Cut" and "Sonic The Hedgehog Movie".
Still no idea how the Snyder Cut happened. They were loud but how many DC Universe movie fans are out there?
Clearly not as many as there were for the Nolan films.
Daniel Bryan singlehandedly saved WrestleMania 30 from being an absolute disaster.
Decided to watch this for no reason. Turns out its the anniversary of all the fans in the ring. Weird.
12:52 Reigns vs Ambrose? Okay, I need to know the set up for that
Wow, history rhyming again.
Yes movement was the story the got me into wrestling. That video package of Monster is so fucking goood
Well now you gotta do kofimania
K have to correct something about Michigan State. Jackson was not a basketball player. He was a football player. He first did the Yes chant/celebration in a game against Michigan after a touchdown. Thats when it first took off. I dont know why it would be so hard to actually look up the players name but not see he wasn't a basketball player lol.
Incredible
To be fair to Batista, he told WWE what was going to happen if they brought him back as a face. He wanted to come back as a heel from day one but, as always, WWE thought they knew best
This ain't the first time missing man did not listen to anybody but also got told off by wrestlers after the act was over.
Remember WrestleMania 11? Shawn Michaels told Vince that he cannot do that finish against Kevin Nash because it will make him look bad but know he ordered it anyway and then after the match is over with HBK with the balls he had told "vince you can do your business but you don't know certain things that work"
But now it’s the YEAH movement!
good video
The funniest thing about the "Yes Movement" probably would have never happened if Punk never walked out and forced WWE to change plans.
So thanks Punk.
Bryan Danielson or Danial Bryan... whatever you want to call him...is honestly the best wrestler of all time for me personally 👌🏻🔥
Mike Chioda *clap clap clap clap clap*
My problem with this is that now WWE and fans use it to defend when the company doesn’t push the button on guys and they get told to “just wait, remember when DB lost to Shaemus?” Like if it was up to WWE none of that ever happens
The greatest wrestler of all time
The G.W.O.A.T
We need this for LA Knight
YEAH
And there are some WWE defenders that still think this was the plan all along 😂
People keep talking about this so I might as well learn what it is
YES!
Yes
You should do the
Rise and fall and rise again of Roman Reigns
Yes.
I believe it was Bluetista that came back and not Bautista
I like this video
Do you know how to Fandango?!
Everyone's saying this is one of the best stories WWE told. I disagree. WWE did everything they could to kill it, because Vince's ego is so huge that wrestlers weren't allowed to go over organically. This was a story told by the fans and by Daniel Bryan. And that's why it's better than just about everything WWE produced at the time.
Actually Vince McMahon could have actually won this beef with the fans. Have Daniel Bryan go over at SummerSlam but have him lose the belt to Orton at the next month's following pay-per-view. The following pay-per-view in October they go at each other for a third time but it's a draw because both wrestlers are trying to cheat to win. By this time he's not that popular with the fans. Have him win a number one contender ship at the elimination chamber pay-per-view for wrestlemania. But have his championship match as the co main event to undertaker and Brock Lesnar. At the end of the match Daniel Bryans goes over and it's celebrated but it's not the enthusiastic occasion like it was for him at WrestleMania 30.
I wish they would've used Batista in place of Goldberg instead 😭😭😭 Would've loved to see him in Saudi versus the undertaker on some old smackdown shit.
Wow. Now in 2024, CM Punk returned but got injured, so they had to take him out of the WrestleMania Card, and Rocky comes back to a sea of boos? History really does repeat itself. I'm excited to see Cody finish his story this year.
I know I'm in the minority, but I was never a big Daniel Bryan fan. I didn't think he was a bad wrestler, but I couldn't get behind him. I stopped watching WWE back in 2012. That's when The Yes Movement really started. Even as a heel at the time, fans would still chant "YES! YES! YES!" over and over again.
But I missed the whole Yes Movement between 2013 and 2014. And I'm glad I did. Because apparently, the fans would chant "Yes"nonstop on almost every show. From what I heard, other stars found themselves getting booed as a result. It didn't matter if they were pro Daniel Bryan or not.
I feel like Daniel Bryan was overhyped. He wouldn't be the only overhyped star in WWE. I say that about wrestlers I'm a fan of. Including The Rock, Seth Rollins and even Cody Rhodes. Now it seems that all the hype around Daniel Bryan has fizzled out. It has been more than a decade after all. Daniel Bryan, in my view, was a fad. I don't hate the guy. I recognize that he will likely be a Hall of Famer one day. But I won't pretend to be a fan of him.
Hi
The YES chant came from Diego Sanchez doing cartwheels screaming YES on The Ultimate Fighter series.
Because Diego is an absolute psychopath lol.
At the end of Diego’s mma career, he got duped by a fake coach who stole his money, pretty sad tbh.
He's okay
Ahem.....I'm Mistah Jay, proud supporter of the Culti-Crew and as always......STORYTIME!!!!
Could you imagine WrestleMania 30 ending with 21-1
Everyone would have understood that Taker is going to lose if it went last. Like I got it as soon as it was announced that Roman vs taker will be the main event.
@@ananyaraizada7657 I don't think so I think we would have been like this is interesting
Wasn't Batista pushing to come back as a heel and the higher ups said no?
Yes, Batista knew the movement is really hot and he knew he would be booed out in this, he tried to convince but Vince didn't listen.
