Well gear down will give you torque and going up will give you speed, but only if you can currently hit redline. Every bike is going to be different. You would just have to try some. I have not tried gear changing a 50 yet
Ok I pretty much feel for the gimmick as u call it I spent right at 800$ with the dorbyworks Ankle biter kit with the ncy super Trans kit 2000 rpm contra spring and I got the rolling wrench gear up kit after install I whent from a factory top speed of 63 mph to 54 max after install was very pissed I put factory spring back in and now I can do 60 but I have to tuck down to get their so I guess my question is what all do u have down to achieve 70mph could really use some advice thanks in advance
You have geared that thing very tall with the gear kit and large variator. Imagine being on the highest gear on your bicycle. Your legs are not strong enough to pedal and go fast. I would imagine your RPMs are low (6000 to 7000) as you bike is struggling with that high gear. What have you done to the motor power wise to push that that high gearing? I have a 171 kit, Cam and 28mm PWK. I also used the (smallest amount) gear up kit.
@earlisfayette9061 so the NCY CDI is actually slower than the stock. I have videos proving that. The coil makes no difference on power. We don't have enough compression mods to need a bigger or hotter spark so spark is spark. The 26mm carb is an upgrade, but to what? You need a reason to need more fuel. More displacement or more RPMs or cam etc. Do an electric fuel pump and re-tune your carb, and you will notice a big difference. You may try putting the stock CDI back on and seeing which one you like better also. What RPMs are you running wide open?
@@GhettoWrench I was planing to order the electronic fuel pump and pulse from rollingwrench and a afr gage and a 172 big bore kit with cam and slide carb
Stock goes about 50mph. You can follow these videos and see what it takes to go faster. The free mods are probably the best. czcams.com/video/4Xc75ShnqCE/video.htmlsi=Xj0yvy9Dta2KowoQ
I would not think any. No clue what's in there stock. Are you hitting redline? 9500 RPM. If so, do you already have a larger variator? That is the first gear up mod I would try.
My buddy just went back to stock gears and went faster too. I have the very mildest gear up kit tho... only 14%. He had one of those more normal 20+% ones.
LMAO. I actually have a pretty solid background in built liter race bikes. You are correct tho. It's Def a moped.. just with the plastics off. Most my posts say scooter. I'm old and prob got confused.
I’m about to do the same to my Maddog scooter. Thanks for the info dude very helpful.
Which app are you using? Thank you.
Called "Drag Racer" but the link is dead. Which is nice cause no ads.
What gear do I need for a gy6 50cc? Lmk need for speed and torque.
