I've been helping and reaching my fellow Filipinos for more than a decade, since 2006, but without recording it on film.
I just decided to film the activities we do in 2015 to spread awareness.
This time guys: I need your help. I need your helping hands to give joy to Filipino families, one at a time.
How it works:
Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help.
After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another.
Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time.
Important notes:
1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys.
Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses.
2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent.
The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube.
3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films/videos about poverty in the Philippines is to spread social awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppression, repression, abuse and exploitation:
1st: We have to be aware.
2nd: We should pay attention.
3rd: We are ought to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.
A documentary film/video like this one is very important, because it opens our eyes to the unjust societal reality.
How could we turn a blind eye on social injustice and huge economic inequality?

In Manila I saw some street vendors sleeping in their stands at night and tricycle drivers sleeping on their tricycles at night.

This is truly hirrible and unacceptable living conditions. Lack of human rights. How disgusting also that people pee in the streets right bear other people too. Hooe the govt gets overthrown in the future

I lived in the phils for around Ten years. I live in Cavite in Citta Italia. While these poor people live like this , the Pope lives in splendour. And there people go to church and offer their last peso to the collection, the church will not think twice .They would take your last peso.
Let me tell you this though: Priests and nuns are also being persecuted in the Philippines; priests and nuns who are too pro poor.
The government red-tags priests and nuns who are too pro poor; accusing them of being a communist rebel group sympathizers.

If you do some more research about the Catholic Church you’ll surprise that they help millions of people around the world. For example is The Saint-Vincent DePaul Society or SVP

Keeping young animals like that on short strings is cruel... both the animals are clearly malnourished and ill. Why do that, let them free they'd stand a better chance fending for themselves? Why keep having children when you're on the streets and can't look after the ones you already have? Sometimes it makes me angry because they are condemning their children to a life of poverty; it's selfish and not right. Anyone can afford a condom. One McDonalds will not put right what his parents have done. Why didn't you buy blankets and pillows as a priorty?

Hi and a great video. Ive visited a number of cities in Philippine's over 2 years and there is a massive divide between working class & poor. Ive give out when I can, but I think it is illegal to do so?? Keep up the great work, stay safe and best wishes.
I came from the Philippines I know the poverty there, feel sorry for them hardly any help from from anyone.
Mark can't build houses on the street when the do not allow squatters on lands like I'm my country we have a lot of squatter build houses on grovement land and no body remove them

I do want to go back to the Philippines so I can help out those in need such as you do. I have seen some much sloth and such from the world that they turn a blind eye to those who truly live and struggle for life. These are the ones I want to help out the most in my life as much as I want to give back to my family that has helped me out as well. I hope I can do what you are doing someday after I get over the struggles I am dealing with. Never quit in the fight for life.

My friend, there's no single answer of how to fight poverty.
To combat poverty: First, you have to understand the roots of it. You have to understand and have knowledge of the history of where and how poverty started.
Remember, that history is the answer for ignorance. We can't move forward without understanding history.
Again, there's no single answer nor solution of how to tackle poverty.
I can tell you this though, that we need a progressive revolution.

@@rheamdc21 I'm not about a dictatorship or non of that. Drastic times require drastic measures. I don't have the answers, I'm not Filipino. But poverty begets poverty, I do know that. The Philippines have to control their population numbers. Its not because there's no room for them, but its because the govt cannot provide for them all. I think I'm fair in my assessment.

It didn't work in China so they abolished it.
FYI: No one was following that government policy in China in those days anyway.

Yes, that is why these beautiful dogs are tied, because of the danger streets...I feel for them and the kitten ..I love animals my Cat is very thankful to have me as his loving caring that would protect him...I see that the mom doesn't even give them a little bit of food to these beautiful animals..Unless I am wrong!

I live in Vancouver, Canada, and the only homeless people we see here are drug addicts. The government here helps everyone from taxpayers' money, but unfortunately, many people choose addition lifestyle. also, you make about $700 dollars a month on each child you have. It's sad that other countries you don't work you don't eat.
There are millions of people all around the world living in the same condition, if not worse.
Even D black fogs didn't bother me that coming from the jepneys.we used to it and we never got sicked I'm now living in the US and planning to go back to the Philippines, that other countries loves to live also

Why do the daily wages in philippines for farmers, labourers are so little amount...i.e 3 dollars ??? It's not enough for that work..... Unlike philippines here in india the amount for hiring one individual for those agricultural and other small works is 10 us dollars....
