What monsters would remodel this? 😡😡
They didn't want people coming by every day to take a picture near the home.
Then don't live there and ruin it for everyone.
They are Simpsons haters
A monster who doesn't watch the Simpsons. I would've kept the house as a museum and make some money off of it
Asshole monsters
Should've turned it into a tourist attraction/museum.
Yes they would have made major bucks if they did !!! They still could
+Aroura619 I think "they" have enough money, it's just a fucking house!
you're right I would liked to visit the house it would have made alot of money
+Dusk Noir Only problem is it's in a development and if it were turned into a tourist attraction, other people on that street and possibly others would probably be annoyed with the clogged streets
+garetare true
It's sad to know that some random ass person remodelled this masterpiece.
What if a real family called the Simpsons moved there
Yea
Yeah! That would be cool... a real Simpson.... like the one who murdered two white people and got away with it... OH NO!!
Ide eat my shorts
Too meta
Zyhir Harris - Mobile Gaming - And More so funny
How unfortunate that a *real* Simpsons fan didn't win that house.
Sees Nails
Yeah, the treehouse and the signature furniture would still be there
Phoenix Dawnie ikr it's pretty sad
Phoenix Dawnie right, at least find a way to keep the El Barto intact
He did, but opted out as he was in a different state so he took the 75k
Maybe one day it will be restored to its former glory. I would had left it, wife would have left me in turn but priorities.
the new owners ruined the fucking house
Most likely not by choice, its in the wrong neighborhood.
i bet they made the house look ugly
They didn't actually they made it better before the new owners moved in it sat for two years. where people would break in and through party's and trash it
Not as much as the dude who was in this videos voice ruined this fucking video.
+SpacedDuck's World AGREED!!
They should make a whole street dedicated to simpsons
Brianna Hofmann that would cost way too much
Hayden Holman The old episodes are good though.
Hayden Holman I totally agree.
It’s called universal studios
Imagine remaking all of Springfield
"Honey, who the hell is that guy outside filming our house...?!"
MagixMamba shut it, nerd.
Dude chill
Im sure they know why
@@Brand0n3500Official NEEEEEEERD
For some reason living in an exact replica of the Simpsons' home for years and years sounds kind of unsettling.
Yeah, it'd be cool for the first 15 years, but then it'd get old and you'd wish it would just end.
+zmbklr101 I'm not the most huge Simpsons fan, but if I lived in that house, I would've kept it as it was meant to be, and I would've turned into a Simpsons fanatic. Definitely would've played it out and see what happened. Very nice ice-breaker to have, to live in that replica house.
+zmbklr101 as a super fan it be cool, or shit keep the house and charge $12 for a tour live in a apt and save up for a million dollar home, houses are so cheap in Nevada in less than 6 months you'd be over 100k.
+Jacob Hill I see what you did there.
+Jacob Hill more like the first 10 yrs...
the owners have ruined the house
Your avatar has ruined my life
Who cares.... The Simpsons sucks anyway
Apparently the HOA rules made them change it. HOA sucks
J J yeah they can do whatever they want, just as we can insult them as much as we like for doing so. I never understood the point of comments like yours. We all fucking know why they changed it, don’t sit there and mitigate what they did.
@J J If they didn't then why did they go for ITT OMGG!!!
I would be happy to leave it how it is
3:04 - matt groaning put his hand prints in the "seamen".
My aunt lives in South Valley Ranch and we didn't even know that the Simpsons house was in the neighborhood.
That's because it's not. The garage is all wrong, it changes the whole shape of the house. It also doesn't have a basement.
@@Patrone68 i only have three fingers and one thumb
the guy that took the money got ripped off because he could have sold the house for way more than $75,000
Especially if he kept it the right colours and stuff, it could have sold for millions if a diehard Simpsons fan tried to buy it.
Stride At first I thought you were flinging an insult at him, then I scrolled back up and saw his name was in fact Meat Flaps. Hahaha!
Who ever won the house is a moron and new owners are even bigger morons a bunch of fucking idiots all the way around.
If i won the house i would of kept it the same and sold the house for millions
yeah there are dumb ass people on this planet for sure!
Pokemon FEVER literally could have kept it the way it was and made hundreds of thousands a year renting it out as a bnb. Could easily charge a couple of grand to stay a week
Ha, I remember going to Universal Studios and feeling disappointed to not even find Bart's chalkboard. Someone should build a replica of Springfield.
Luigi Epic yes
Spoon the Nerd I'd take either.
Well, I don't think it's an exact replica, but they do have a Simpsons theme park. I don't remember where it's at though. You would have to look it up.
Pink Mama Ayy you must have watched Max's vid when he, Will and Ian went there ;^)
shylittlelynx Y a dang right I did
If you look closely at 6:41 you can see some of the black spraypaint from when Matt painted Bart! This is amazing.
I dont see it
Wow, it's been a long time! We did the drywall taping and mudding on this house. I remember how cool that was. We actually worked on several houses in this development back in 1997 and we were lucky we did the drywall finish in it. OMG
If i got that house, I so would have kept it the way it was.
i would have fixed it and moved the garage back to where its supposed to be but if there is room at the side
you couldn't because if you tried the HMO would kick you out
whats a HMO
+xspaceturtlex home owner association
+xspaceturtlex someone who has sex with same gender
I would have turned it into a museum.
Love the Simpsons.
Me to
I am not new to the cha
If the owners hadn’t have changed a thing that house would have been worth probably quadruple the price it is now
Your intro for this video should’ve been the Simpsons theme
It's a shame they painted it and changed everything. I wish the city of Henderson could have bought it and made it a landmark.
That would be annoying for the neighbors though. They should've built it elsewhere and turned it into a museum type attraction. What a shame :/
it's against the home owners association all houses have to be boring beige
The Awesomist someone won the house and re painted it and took out all the props and sold it
Jake Burchfield that's not true because the people redecorate it the way they wanted not how the city wanted it
I agree, your idea sounds more sensible than having it as a house in a neighbourhood.
I saw another video about this where the owner talks about the house. First of all they had to paint it because they got a letter saying they had to paint it because crowds people would come to the house at a time. They also had to redo the inside because before they bought it the house sat vacant and kids broke in and trashed it and all the walls had holes in them. They want the house to be the bright colors but they aren't allowed to
Interesting, never heard about that.
I heard the exact same thing too
Starsh
How very sad.
fucking hoa, they have nothing better to do then make every house the same.
The new owners destroyed history
SAT1URN1 no they didnt
@@Mc__Nugget technically they did
Adam: Have you heard of The Simpsons?
Me: Don't insult me 😐
I can't believe somebody would have money instead of a REAL LIFE SIMPSON HOUSE!
Obviously they didn't watch The Simpsons.
+Señor Cactus Gaming, Sketches and More! then why would they sign up for the raffle?
+Deury Tavarez For the money.
I would take the money
Probably because they didn't have the money to actually keep paying for the house once they owned it
They should have left it the way it was. Then I would charge people 5 bucks to come inside and tour it lol.
yea the should have done that
That's what Homer would've done! :D
somebody said It was actually in the contract for the house that it would have to be unsimpsonised to get it. very sad I was thinking why even buy the house if u were changing everything buy another house
I would keep it and live in it and be bart
Yourebasicbye so true
I remember seeing the ad for the contest I wish I still had the comic as I would post it for everyone to see.
This house was my idea as a PR stunt to launch our new video game, "Virtual Springfield", from Fox Interactive (video game division at 20th Century Fox). For the PR event, we flew out the press from LA to Las Vegas on Southwest Airlines that had a specially painted plane in the Simpsons theme. The house was won by an old lady who had no idea what to do with it. The inside was just like the show, furniture, paint and all. It was a crazy fun project. Somehow it leaked out and the builder had to put up tents to keep people sheltered from the sun who came by to just look at the home. We allowed tours (you had to put on surgical booties) for a few weeks.
Homeowners Association was probably Butthurt and made the owner paint it a neutral color to match all the others.
+Cory Kamermans Yup. The rules of the contest actually said that if the winner took the house instead of the money, they were obligated to repaint it.
TBustah No wonder then why Matt Groening tagged it.
+TBustah wow really? Makes it kinda pointless...
+Cory Kamermans I think that IS what happened...I remember reading an article (i'll have to look for it and post a link) and it said that shortly after the contest, the Home Owners Association told them that beause the house was ruining the neighborhood's look that they made the person re-paint the house. I kind of wish they had just built the darn thing somewhere else where no one could tell the winner to basically ruin their winnings.
+Kawaii Lannie it doesn't feel right... if you own a house I think you should be able to paint it how you want x:
This makes me a bit sad and angry... Myself I'd LOVE to live in the Simpsons house.. I just don't get why people have to change things.. They should do what they did with the a Christmas story house to this house
The home owners association is strict there. Had they left it as is, there would have been constant fines. If you notice, every house there is the same color and almost exact style. Thats not by choice.
Ah ok gotcha.. Well that sucks
It was actually in the contract for the house that it would have to be unsimpsonised to get it.
Oh ok
i wouldnt your life would be a joke, like your living in one of those fun houses
"He put his hands in the SEMEN and drew a Homer".
Why would you ruin such an amazing house and turn it into a normal house?!?! it should have been real simpsons fans who got the house not just a person who wanted the house
SAT1URN1 they still didnt need to change it on the inside :(
They had to
Such a shame some person had to ruin the house. That's like writing a long and epic story to get published as a book, only for the publisher to rewrite your book to be so bland and uninteresting.
+EAPvideoz
"Such a shame some person had to ruin the house. "
Ruin? Now it looks like an actual house, not like some kind of sick joke.
But they made that house to be The Simpsons' one. It was made with this purpose, not to be a "normal house". If they wanted to built a normal house, they obviously wouldn't make it with this shape or put Simpsons in it. This house was a piece of pop culture, it should be turned into a museum, to be preservated for the fans and pop culture lovers in general. So, yes, they ruined it. There are a lot of "normal" houses around the same place, if the new owner wanted one this way, he/she should buy one of them, not the Simpsons'.
+Julie Yazawa
"If they wanted to built a normal house, they obviously wouldn't make it with this shape"
If they actually cared and wanted to make this a piece of "pop culture" or a museum they would've done that. Instead they put it on sale as an ordinary property, to get rid of it and get some money back, I suppose. Who knows? Maybe not the new owner did the new painting, maybe they did it, to be able to sell it for a decent price?
Anyway, the actual owner decides what its purpose is. In this case, he wants to live in it, but without having to puke from looking at an ugly candy-colored facade. Let alone the poor neighbours.
Come on, they completely overdid it with the colors in the first place. The facade having the shape of the Simpsons house would've been enough.
Plus, it attracts less drooling nerds that way. Which would be a pain in the ass in itself.
+Hugo Brömme There is nothing wrong with the colors of the Simpsons' house. I would have loved to win that house...in the original colors!
protoborg
Well, you're entitled to your own opinion. I find them extremely irritating.
these people who owned the house should of kept the pic of bart
Minkey bro ur pic is gingerpale
hoa made them paint over it
LOOKS LIKE BART' REVEALING SLOWLY THA PAINT IS CHIPPING OFF👍🏾💯
They should have turned it into an Air BnB for people like the people who own Bella’s house from Twilight did 🥺
5:03 DUN DUN DUN NO WONDER ITS NOT THE SIMPSONS ANYMORE THEY MADE IT STARBUCKS THEMED HINTING THE STARBUCKS STICKER ON THEIR CAR
UGH! They should not have given the option of cash, it totally loses the integrity of the contest "Win the Simpson's house" I remember that ad running as a child and would dream of living there :(
+Lick Attack ikr.. shame
Maybe even dress up in Bart's clothes too! lol
The option should be like this, The $75.000 is for the property maintenance/insurance fund.
***** Then maybe don't apply for the "Win The Simpon House Sweepstakes" if you had no intention of moving there.. that women is evil, and I despise her entire family.
I hate whoever redecorated this house.
Well they had to redecorate because crowds of people would come just to see the house and the inside cause kids would come in and trash the place
Trollface Shitpants Yea I know but it could easily be recreated by just looking at the blueprints for this house
Everything_Nerdy they had 2 bcuz fans would drive all the way to the house and get in at the same time and wreck everything in the house
@Country Patrick doesn't mean you can't re-create a house from a show irl. The copyright means someone can't make their own Simpson's and just copy and paste the episodes online somewhere else/ illegally download.
So do I.
I would buy it, just to rebuilt all the nice Details, so that it looks like the Original Simpson House again! But why one Guy chose the money when he has the chance to live like the Simpsons? And when he would sell the house, that would bring much more than 75.000$. I am sure at that!
But very cool Video! Greetings from Germany!
The guy who won it lived far away and didn’t want to change his life for a cartoon house
**Old lady comes out screaming and hurling cats at you**
if the builders studied the house for so long how on earth did they get the front door placement so uneven between the windows?
There is a few rather large errors that makes me wonder why? Laws? Stupid rules?
Like you say, the RHS bay window is crushed between the door and garage. The off-set room above the garage and it's window is non-existent. The garage jets out about 10 feet too far.
I watched a short documentary on the building of the house years ago. I guess it was a logistical nightmare to make the house based off cartoon drawings. That's why everything was so uneven and disproportionate.
That house is just cheaply made mock up. Regular house tried make to do look like Simpson's house. It's would be very easy to do real looking house if it planned from foundations.
Building code doesn't allow buildings to have any door with in one foot and 6" from the first steep of the stair case
I wish the person would have either used it as a vacation home, a museum or as a rental home for the vacation season. What Simpsons fan wouldn't want to be able to live in the Simpsons House for a week? Thank goodness the new owners didn't cover up Matt Groening's handprints and Homers.
+138veronica I agree with you. It's too bad that a Die Hard Simpson Fan didn't win the house. Also, it's stupid that the house was built inside a gated community with association rules. Someone above in the comments, said that the rules stated that the owner of the house would've had to repaint the house neutral colors. The creators of the house should've built it on its own piece of land. Well, there must be a Simpson fan out there that could build a house and study the episodes and draw up blueprints and build an even better Simpsons House.
Hey, if one fan of Bob's Burgers is dedicated to recreating all the burgers seen in the show, and heck, I'm thinking of recreating some of Mabel Pine's sweaters from Gravity Falls, then someone will make another Simpsons house.
+138veronica Yeah, what we really need is someone to do like the Munster house in Waxahachie. They recreated the house themselves then, on Halloween, would let people take a tour of it to pay for the upkeep and whatnot.
Sadly, I think they had to stop doing that and sold it a year or two ago.
I would have completely like, lost my shit if I lived in that house.. I am a total die hard fan, and they give it to some idiots who don't value the true value of the SIMPSOOOONSSSSS!!!!!!!!
This vlog is the reason I started my channel..Adam your still #1 hands down favorite.
1:31 creepy
If that was my house i would of keepet it 100% the simpsons style
+ozzyrocks666 Same
Same. I'm a huge Simpsons fan.
+ozzyrocks666 But you couldn't. It was in the contest that you had to repaint it because of some stupid home owners association rule on where it was built
Apparently it ruined the uniformity of the street.
From what ive read, they couldnt. The home owners association made them because it didnt fit code.
+blueeyedbaby210 they need to do away with home owners association, it's a free country
I can't help but think the owners were watching this guy, getting ready to call the cops on him watching him film their house like some creepy person. ^_^
+CCCM89 Nah, it was probably like this "Honny, another fucking Simpsons fan is filming our house!" "Shit, and after we remodeled the whole damn thing. They never give up."
They Proberly get it all the time, with it being the Simpson house.
"Hi sir, I'm making a youtube video, mind if I come in?"
"Yes, I do mind"
"Oh, could I at least look inside?"
"No"
"What about if i film it from a distance?"
"Get off my property or I'm calling the police"
('shit, I better make this fast')
theyre probably used to it. the whole house is blurred out on google streetview.
i was thinking the same the owners were ready to call the cops for real
I don't even like Simpsons anymore, but I'm pissed they ruined the home.
That's so cool they actually did this...Simpsons was so good in the 90's...I remember who shot Mr. Burns was so exciting when the wait over Summer was over and we got to finally see the episode.
"Honey, there is another creepy guy with a camera on our front lawn"
I love the Simpsons but never in watching it have I wished I lived in their house. In real life those garish colors and simple decor are a little uncanny/creepy. I don't blame the new owners for the changes they made - there's some show of good humor in keeping the Homer on the walkway, the detailing on the chimney, and the original door. Honestly in a neighborhood like this I doubt any kind of homeowner's association would tolerate a cartoony house even if these people wanted to live in one.
Imagine some strange bearded man just filming your house and pointing
It looks like the house in later seasons
Should have gone next door an seen if Flanders was home.

Imagine if someone smart actually won the house and kept it just the way it was, then when air bnb became a thing people could pay to stay there.
It looks like they painted it to look like the rest of the house in the neighborhood. Also the garage sticks out way too much so it looks a bit different from the actual Simpsons house.
I don't understand why they couldn't make it to the same dimensions and specs as the cartoon house.

Kinda sucks how they redid the house
Actually it wasn't the new owners. There was a stipulation that after the contest the house has to be repainted and the interior had to be stripped. That's why the winner wanted the money and not an ugly empty house
This house should become a museum, with the interior restored to its original condition, and the street re-named "Evergreen Terrace"! I'd even get a pink car and orange station wagon to park in the driveway!
I personally think its current colors look more like the Simpsons' house!

Interesting how in 1994 there was an episode about Bart winning an elephant and the radio station panic because he wouldn't except the money instead only for years later someone won the Simpson's house and demanded money instead.
They took 75,000$ over that?and probably got only 40,000$ after tax.... suckers!
+clownsec honk To be honest whoever took the money wasn't very smart. They probably could of sold that house for a lot more considering it's a replica of such a well known house. It probably would of went to a person who would want the house as well....
it's Nevada not new York Nevada is not as greedy
+Jake Burchfield Las Vegas is in Nevada
+Greg R I know I said that
+clownsec honk The person who won it probably couldnt afford to move or afford the upkeep and probably didnt want to sell their existing house. That is at least my guess.

Dude I'm pretty sure they know.
They likely get this all the time.
Very awesome 💞💗❤💝💜💛 Thank you for sharing all these wonderful memories
The winner was Barbara Howard, 63 from Richmond KY. She took the cash for the house, $75K which was half the of the value of the house.
Wow, several years ago, I've had a weird dream where people dressed as the Simpsons chased me, and now I'm seeing stuff that look exactly what I dreamt of.
that's actually pretty cool. pity the new owners changed it, though.
I love this vlog..it helped save my life
1.
Should've left it the way it was, owner.
2.
Imagine this house is still here long after Simpsons is gone. Standing, with a picture of Matt engraved in cement.
thats sort of scary.
It's fucked up that the new owners did that because there was only one legendary simpsons house and they fucked it up when they could've bought any other house and done their shitty decorating to that. It's expensive to make and it took a lot of hard work and they messed it up and I'm legit pissed about this 😂😂
kass gonzales There's a video out there where the owner talks about the house, they weren't allowed to have bright colours because it attracted crowds, they had to replace to furniture the furniture inside because some teenagers broke in and ripped the place to shit
I live in Henderson, NV. Yup, all the houses in and around here have to be this boring beige.
+Donna Manning its the template I suppose
***** The neighborhood associations run things around here. To even fly a flag, one has to practically write to the president of the United States.
Yep. Another Henderson resident. Although, I have seen this cool looking pyramid shaped house by an Albertsons and it is sort of Egyptian decorate a little bit. Also, there's a house that the whole lawn is covered in dinosaurs and everything. idk if you've seen them, but ya. You may or may not know what I am talking about.
Mettaton EX OMG, I've seen that house too. I forget the name of the street now, but there's a wall around it. I live in Timberlake Apartments and new management is painting the buildings tan, orange and grey. At least it's a little different.

In certain neighborhoods, you don't have a choice. The housing organization can enforce certain rules, like all beige colors.

I can remember that house being advertised on commercials when they first built it but I had no idea where it was.
