TASCAM 246 | Dynamic mic upgrade for lofi vocals

i really love the vintage sound of old microphones and the tascam makes it so much better. this mic i have is a very old Veritas mic most likely used for broadcasting. I bought it originally at a thrift store in a random electronics box and it came with an RCA to 1/4in adapter.

after using this mic a bunch the connector pretty much broke off unless i was holding it in a very specific way, so i decided to make this video where i shorten the cable, and upgrade the connector to a new and shiny 1/4in connector and beautiful future music vibes
it was cool to look at the original connector and see it was a very old switchcraft plug with some interesting history connected to it. i love music history and the evolution and reusage of old materials for creation
literally the only other option is to throw something like this away, and i already know deep in my heart that i will use this to make important music in the future for both myself and those around me
