Are those the original straps for the karakoram? The ones currently sold look like they can break easily.

Those are the original straps on the Karakoram. Check out the most recent review to see the straps for this season - czcams.com/video/2YgZ0HmIgEs/video.html

You should’ve put the Karakoram set up on the Lib tech, Because it has the Karakoram clips. The never summer board Has the normal hooks

We have used Spark on all boards as well as Karakoram on all boards. Plenty of reviews on our site using both bindings. There is no reason to not use one brand over the other, based on tip and tail clips. Hope that helps! - Sean

sorry for the dont like, but go out in bad condition for a real test my friend, this ia a show test with no message at exremly days.... at sunny side all is perfect. markus

Markus We understand your concern. Please rest assured that we test in bad conditions. But, we try to shoot our videos in good conditions so you can see the gear well and hear us talk!
Sean has taken the bindings out in heavy snow and dumping blower days. They just don't make for good filming conditions!
Hope you'll keep checking out our videos

Did you attach the foam on the footpads of the Spark bindings yourself or does it come with it?

Spark sells the kit separately. You just peel back the stickers and place them on the bindings. They are comfy, but not necessary.

Pretty bad comparison imho. I dont want to know how good you think the bindings are, I want to know what really diferentiates them and some pro's and con's.
Karakoram are really filigree, which can be a con in a big tour as they are more pron to breaking. However the give you a more secure stance on the board and have better controll than the Spark.
Other thing you forgot to mention is what a pain in the ass it is to change the degree of the karakoram bindings. You need a special tool, and its not really easy, especially if you're outside. The Spark R&D pucs are much easier to change.
I like the touring mode better on the karakoram, however the risers are a lot better on the spark, as it is a lot easier to get them out while walking. I found it almost impossible to do it with the poles on the Karakoram.
    Just ma feedback

In response to the stance change easability, if you are split boarding I think you would have your snowboard stance Already determined so you won’t have to adjust on the mountain

Hey everyone, we have TWO more updated reviews on Karakoram and Spark bindings. Both continue to get better and better. This was easily our WORST review on them. So please check out the updated reviews! They will help you much more than this one. - Sean

Sorry! We've added a link to the written comparison so you can read instead of trying to hear Sean's voice over the wind.
