    Any Woman: Brief Summary
'Any woman' by Katharine Tynan is a good poem which glorifies the status of a woman or mother in a house hold. The poet uses the image of a House to depict the role of a woman in a family. The whole poem is metaphorical. The poet says that she is the pillars of the house and the keystone of the arch without which the house will collapse. The woman is the light of love and the sacred ring of love which help the children thrive and to keep their bond of love unbroken. A mother protects her children from all dangers. The poem ends with a prayer to Jesus not to take her life away till the children grow and thus expressing her sublime , selfless love for her children and family.
