Thanks to this vid and your other one with 505k I have improved my point totals. Had a season pass back in 2012-13 then nothing for almost two years but back again. My personal best was 421k with someone helping with the meteors/plate break/launching the rocket/roundup. My best as solo is something like 375 or 380k, so I have a ways to go. I find the rocket to be fairly difficult solo.
The trouble with the rocket is rings can get in the way and then you don't make the timing, for me personally getting the meteor in a decent amount of time was the thing I struggled with. For the rocket I do two backward C's then the final one on the right. A lot of other high scorers tend to to do the two in the middle then a circle all the way around; at my prime that is what I was doing and it seemed to be the quickest. Before I moved the highest I ever got up to was 592,500, the people at DCA hit 600k+ every week; they are wizards. Good luck!
BeAPartOfTheMagic Thanks for the additional tips! I go to DCA so I have seen those 600k+ high scores of the month and am completely baffled as to how it's possible. When you got your 590k+ where did your extra points come from? In your videos it already looks like you're doing everything close to perfect.
supermerkava I have a text guide written if you want read it, it goes more in depth about the timing of where I am shooting and sometimes why I do the ordering. bit.ly/1NGZyg8 So the main difference between my high score runs and this one is usually just timing refinement, for a top run like that the scores would be something like this. Egg Toss- 50-60k, Darts-70-110k, this is one of the ones where timing is everything and accuracy. Plates-80-90k, and ring toss- 110k -145k, there is some tips in that guide about ring toss and the 5k aliens; they can be worth 15-20k with accuracy. Then final sequence or woody's round up, this is where a amazing rub is usually broken; timing is most important here. So usually I would hit about 560k every time I played; but if I were to put my top scores together on each game I would be around 620k for a high score. Also another secret most don't know is the final target does actually go to 5k, I have seen it twice; although your gun must be un capped which rarely any were at wdw. Vehicle 34 row 4, left gun is hahah. Btw I always sat in the first or last row of the vehicle sitting at the left gun.
BeAPartOfTheMagic Wow, I will study your guide, print it out and read and re-read every time I am in line at Midway Mania. Thanks again! I too try to sit on the left hand side. I often go with a family member so doesn't always work out. Your scores are amazing. Did not know the final target had a 5k but then again if you only saw it twice in your career I'll probably never see it and will be happy just hearing about it, haha. Any way to know if your gun is uncapped?
supermerkava The only way to know is just from being used to playing because you can tell the different especially when playing aliens. But the reason we know they exist is the capped guns are 6 shots a second, the final sequence is 9 seconds long with each point value taking 20 shots to switch. Going 500, 1000, 2000 which comes to 54 shots to get past the 2000 target, in the two times I saw it the first time if was switching to 5000 when the game ended. The second time I managed to hit the target twice. Also another big point gainer that I really could never nail down was while doing all four rows of mine carts is to hit at least one of the bats in the top corners twice for I believe 2k first hit then 5k second hit. The DCA guy I rode with was able to do both bats while doing all four rows, he was a beast but never got about 550k; apparently the gravity in the games differs than from DCA so the guns shot differently, I agree with him after going there; there's seemed easier even though non of this is easy hahah just takes time. Good luck!
Great video! What a feat. What I'd love to find, but haven't been able to, is a video showing the shooting technique of a 500k+ player. I can't even fathom how someone can get the gun to fire like a minigun throughout the ride with such precision and without losing steam. I'd like to see how you position your hands and arms throughout the ride.
Left hand on the side of the gun handle. Right hand with string between index and middle finger. Pulling string taught as perpendicular as possible with the gun, doing this makes firing a small motion with the wrist and not the entire arm. Aiming is done mostly by turning the entire upper body, not using the arm and only the wrist saves a ton of energy. Combined with being accurate(which means shots are earning more, avg 50-60% accuracy) and having played a lot that my body is used to it is also a huge advantage. Good luck!
Thank you for the description. What do you mean by this: "Pulling string taught as perpendicular as possible with the gun"? Does this mean you aren't pulling the string straight out toward you? But rather hard to the right?
Yeah straight towards me, keeping it taught so that just a flick of the wrist makes the gun fire. Perpendicular to the back of the gun but parallel to the barrel.
@Tendoking 500,100 is also mine, just had no one with me to film it. O_o. It just takes lots of practice and patience to get it 95% of the time, I still miss it from time to time.
Why does it look like his shooter is on rapid fire mode? The string on the shooter has to make a full "recoil" Shooting at this rate seems impossible. What's the secret?
This is how I do it. Left hand on the side of the gun handle. Right hand with string between index and middle finger. Pulling string taught as perpendicular as possible with the gun, doing this makes firing a small motion with the wrist and not the entire arm. Wow! But what's more shocking: The best that month was higher than what you had scored! O_o I can't get that 4th stage's Easter Egg playing solo, but I'll give it a try next time I'm at DHS.

This is how I do it and no I do not use the handicapped vehicle, their guns are actually way out of alignment. This score is still the benchmark, I got high score ATM with 524, but I can never get Dino and alien down consistently. My top game I had prospector flip to 5k for about 6 shots, pretty sure it's what put me over
Mark Campbell Dino can be challenging as if you miss on the comets the dinos will block clearing them. For alien I have tried different ways of clearing the rocket quicker but found that it really comes down to not overshpoting. Putting top many rings on the board actually makes it harder to get them on. I wrote a text guide a long time ago, my all time high is 592k, here: discuss.micechat.com/forum/disney-theme-park-news-and-discussion/walt-disney-world-resort/159695-toy-story-mania-guide-after-toy-story-3-update
BeAPartOfTheMagic Not saying I don't believe 592, but I'd need to see it live. There are two of us and we got the game down, 550-570 is about all I can see in this game
Mark Campbell Highest is probably around 615k to 630k, which is definitely possible. My journey to 600k video has a photo I took of my 592k. Unfortunately not many videos of high scores as it's actually difficult to play with another person sitting with you. 550k was about my average before I left Florida. Good luck!
Thank you bepartofmagic I tried this when I was at Hollywood studios it worked thank you so much for this video.
I achieved 198,000 my last time and thought it was impressive. I learn new tricks each time!

Now you get to score POINTS!!!
Can u post and updated video this got patched
I am going in February, perhaps I can make a video with the gopro I have hmmmmmm. What got patched?
I don't see anything different? How do you practice to stay in "game shape" if you don't work there?
I nickfizzle I good luck on the high score, maintenance is watching hahaha

BeAPartOfTheMagic I don’t follow how you hold and shoot. Take a picture or video?
Wow!!!!!
you use hax bro
Wow!
But what's more shocking: The best that month was higher than what you had scored!
O_o
I can't get that 4th stage's Easter Egg playing solo, but I'll give it a try next time I'm at DHS.
how do you shoot that fast?

@chipo715 Well I get to score points, you not so much.
This isn't legit. Some kind of hack. It's not possible to shoot that fast.
Isn't there a handicapped vehicle that uses a button instead?
This is how I do it and no I do not use the handicapped vehicle, their guns are actually way out of alignment. Left hand on the side of the gun handle. Hey do you still play?
Unfortunately I moved away from the Orlando area in 2013 for a job.
This score is still the benchmark, I got high score ATM with 524, but I can never get Dino and alien down consistently. My top game I had prospector flip to 5k for about 6 shots, pretty sure it's what put me over

Cheat
10 points for gryffindor!
Wait do you get that much points when you shoot the top left? When you start
